And there are certain characters (meaning DC) that vary in how dangerous they are depending on the environment. If DC is at a battlefield full of dead soldiers' weapons, for instance, you want to run.

In other words, it wouldn't work on some due to fluctuating power level.

Also, DC has met Vespa and knows she's psychic. So Vespe with a mental shield shouldn't be terribly surprising.

Also, why was DC confused about the attack at all? I found it was completely believable.

Well...how about a generic "threat" level, to be established by the person entering? Based on weapons carried, any malicious intent, power level (in the most vague and relative way, you understand), etc.

This allows for the scanners to be fooled (since the person entering is the one who establishes what the scanners read), as well as fluctuating power levels (since 'threat' is a fluid measurement).

But would be based on temperment, and prior knowledge, or just power? Because Amour (God), would surely be red. However, from anyone who knows him, it's unlikely he'd attack ANYONE. Would he be a Red, given that if he tried, it's likely he could kill most people, or a green, given that it's very unlikely that he would?

Green. It's a threat detector, not a power level.

This is what I'm thinking:

Green: Either not willing or not able to do any damage.
Blue: Not on best of terms with GLoG, but not willing to start a fight either. Perfectly safe unless attacked first.
Yellow: Bears malice towards GLoG and/or one or more of its members: could very easily start a fight if provoked, but not an immediate danger.
Orange: Very powerful and/or malicious. Be on your guard.
Red: Self-explanatory.

Raven bears not a hint of malice towards anyone in GLoG, but he's still likely to beat Turtle to a bloody pulp for failure.

I guess I'd call him a modified Yellow.

For the record, Vespe is a Yellow most of the time - he's got no problems with GLoG, but on the other hand, Fanboy. Also, he will start a fight if provoked.

Huh... I think I've found Fan's reason for the ridiculously powerful defense suggestions. I think he's tired of being the standard target of all the villains. I should know, it happened to me in AMEN and I tried to do the same. With lots of laser turrets. It didn't work. In fact, I daresay it made the problem worse.

Nah, its not that I'm just tired of being BOMBED by the masses of villians I seem to have. Vespe, Rabbit, Magtok, Draken, and Keala to name a few.
Thats ALOT of villians to deal with while having defenses that to be honest are worse than your average Wizard's tower.

Kaela's one of your villains? Strange, I always thought Kaela to be a HT villain and LaRoth/Alek/Intergang to be a HT/Melody/DC villain. I believe the only time you ever interacted with intergang was when you assaulted their base-thing to rescue Melody.
