Help building a thread-based campaign
Hello all,
I'm thinking of running a thread-based DnD campaign to keep in touch with some friends from university. I'd like to put out a general call for advice, cautionary tales, ideas, etc. The game needs to run in 3.5 and I am 5 hours ahead of the rest of the players. There will potentially be 6 players, all have some previous experience with DnD, though not an extensive amount.
What do you all think about thread-based as a d20 platform?
Any ideas about settings or fun story ideas?
How much Undead is too much?
Answers to these questions and more will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Help building a thread-based campaign
I think by "Thread Based" you are reffering to what is commonly known as "Play by Post" or "PBP".
Whether it works, well, there is an entire PbP subforum here and many other places, so it obviously works. The main problem, as far as I can tell, is that it's tough to feel action and excitement when things are moving as slowly as they do in a PbP game.
As for undead, If you have fire, there is no such thing as "Too Much" undead.
