Six hours up there; then I'm there until possibly Wednesday then six hours down.
I was timed when I was reading this week, but I didn't realise it so I was going normal speed. I average one page every fifteen seconds. Note: that is an average. I can read a lot faster.
I think at one point Female Anime E Lit Friend said I was reading a page every six seconds.
I hate planes and I read way too fast.

Time it took for me to start reading it: three months. Constant nagging from Best Friend had me succumb. 'Twas quite good.

And why the abhorrence of anime and manga?

I was more referring to the fast reading people on the news, that just happened to be the reason they were talking about people reading fast

And me since I was around five. I can burn through a regular sized novel in a few hours, barring distractions. I'm fast, just not that fast. Wouldn't that be a fun contest though? "Read-off" in the playground. You get a list of books and you post your final time for each one. Yes, Curly would win, but it would still be awesome.

I think it's better than the anime. I was put off by the number of chapters and haven't read very far though.

@Edge: Do you still have anime/manga? And why did you in the first place? There are some bad serieses, but tons are good.

It's decent up through the Soul Society arc (up to ch 170~ish). It starts going downhill pretty bad from there.

You mean that rhetorically, right? As in "this is an example of a really long manga series" not "actually go and read Inuyasha." Right?



Anyway, if you're daunted by a large amount of chapters, I'll suggest Vinland Saga for your fighty manga needs. It's relatively young, so there isn't a huge chapter buildup yet.
