Idea! The Testament of Solomon inspired campaign
So here is the wikipedia article about it that I first heard about the Testament of Solomon.
The PCs would be receive the Seal of Solomon from either Solomon himself and have the task of binding various demons that have unleashed into the world. Of course, this means first defeating the demon in combat (weakening it) than using the Seal to bind it forever. At that point, they can keep it there or they can see if they can cajole it to perform tasks for them (much like the Planar Binding spells or maybe Malconvoker).
The real question is how this evil mess all got started in the first place and upon investigation, that's when it gets darker and more interesting. Content from The Lesser Key of Solomon and other such demonology texts could be drawn from to give the campaign a very occult feel to it. The section of the Testament of Solomon about King Solomon falling for a pagan women and sacrificing locusts to other gods would be a dark twist to the narrative. The original source of the evil would either be Lilith and Adam or Pandora's Box. The Islamic account of Solomon, the addition of Jinn to angels and demons, and maybe some Greek myths would make for a complete setting. Clerics would draw upon the favors of angels (or demons for evil clerics) whereas Druids and Sorcerers would draw upon other spirits.
So what would you think? Too creepy or way awesome? Anything that you would add?

I'm getting a major Shin Megami Tensei vibe from this one. I say go for it, but you would want the source to be Lilith and Kane, not Adam. They're the ones who gave birth to the Lillim that plague the hells.Me: I'd get the paladin to help, but we might end up with a kid that believes in fairy tales.
DM: aye, and it's not like she's been saved by a mysterious little girl and a band of real live puppets from a bad man and worse step-sister to go live with the faries in the happy land.
Me: Yeah, a knight in shining armour might just bring her over the edge.
