Hearing the thump of bows and the yelping of dogs Lebwen guesses that Adalbert's plan didn't go quite as planned so he runs up as fast as he can to help.

Lebwen and Lizuga rush forward, but still are quite a distance away from the heat of the action, where three goblin dogs attack Adalbert. He manages to avoid two of the attacks, but, with his attention divided, gets a nasty bite in the leg for 9 damage, losing a large part of his right gastrocnemius.

Adalbert, instead of running back across the bridge, starts reading a lecture about goblin dogs. It is a good and useful lecture, but does not contribute all that much towards resolving his situation. Iris shoots at the goblins on the western tower, hitting one for 5 damage. Justin hurries to help the halfling, but is still some distance away.

The big cat bites Adalbert in the shoulder, inflicting moderate 4 damage, but, what is worse, bringing him down to the ground. Two goblins on the western tower shoot back at Iris, one hitting for 2 damage, the other managing to score one more thunk against the thistle door, behind which Iris is standing. Two goblins on the eastern tower shoot across the bridge, but don't nearly manage to hit anyone.

Shalelu releases three arrows, one at each goblin dog. She manages to hit two of them, not dealing enough damage to kill, but still knocking the targets out of the action. The flame-wielding goblin steps closer to prone Adalbert and thrusts the jet of flame into one of Adalbert's wounds. The wound cauterizes, but there is too much pain and suffering for the halfling to bear and he passes out.

Lizuga and Lebwen run forward across the creaking and swaying rope bridge of goblin construction. Lebwen even manages to get to the island in time to protect Adalbert from the only goblin dog that remains standing. The goblin dog attacks Lebwen instead, but apparently has some problems switching its attention.

Justin sees Adalbert fall, a muttered "you brave stupid halfling" under his breath as he sees the gaggle of enemies surround him even as some fall to the hail of arrows.

He races towards with Lebwen and Lizuga "For Sandpoint" he calls as he slides into his mithral stance drawing his sword in a single action to impale the goblin with a flame sword. Even as he strikes he bares his teeth ready for a bloody counter.

Spying Justin charge across the bridge with his battlecry she knows the others won't be far behind, and Shalelu is there as evidenced by the arrows joining her own. At this distance she does all she can, timing her opportunity and firing back at the only visible targets - the watchtower archers.

Justin charges forward at the flame-wielding goblin, but is unable to land a good enough blow to hit him. Iris continues shooting at the goblins on the western tower, hitting them for 5 and 6 damage, which causes both heads to disappear.

The cougar does its best to attack Lebwen, but only lands one scratch on the leg for 4 damage. The goblins on the eastern tower shoot at Lebwen, but are not even close to hitting him. Shalelu places three shots neatly past Justin - two into the flame-wielding godlin, for 11 and 9 damage, sending him to the ground motionless, and one into the goblin dog, for 7 damage, causing it to squeal in pain.

By the way, did you save for me vs. bleeding out or is that a rule in conjunction with the flame blade?

I ruled that flame blade does not cause further bleeding, but anyway, Adalbert was unlikely do die from blood loss.

The halfling wakes up to a warm sensation pulling him up and mending his wound, the pirate wizard standing over his fallen body in a defensive position. To his left, Justin is fighting for his life. The sight of his friends fills him with good thoughts, where just seconds ago there only was fear for his dear life.

Seeing the precarious situation he is in, he dares not stand up and pull to much attention to himself, so he simply begins to recite cat facts: Firepelts and other mountain lions are ambush predators. Lock them into melee combat so they cannot jump you. But they are still VERY fierce combatants.

Lizuga hammers both the sleeping goblin dog and the firepelt for 13 damage. The former twitches a few times lying on the ground before finally freesing, while the later seems to withstand a few broken ribs without backing down. Adalbert starts to lecture about firepelts while remaining on the ground. Using the tips, Lebwen attacks the big cat, inflicting a deep cut for 11 damage. While Lebwen's attention is directed at the big cat, the only goblin dog still standing takes a moment to bite him in the leg for 8 damage. The wound feels itchy, but not overly so.

Justin attacks both the goblin dog and the firepelt. He cuts deep into the neck of the former, all the way to the spine, opening an artery which pulses red blood sprinkling Justin before the animal collapses to the ground next to its sleeping kin. Justin has to blink a few times to get the goblin dog's blood out of his eyes which ruins his attack against the firepelt. Iris shoots at the goblins on the eastern tower, but only manages to hit the tower itself.

The firepelt continues attacking Lebwen, biting and clawing him on the arm that he used to protect his neck, for 7 and 5 damage, and pulling the arm down so that Lebwen has to bend to avoid being tripped before the beast lets go. While at it, Lebwen gets an arrow in the side for 4 damage, shot by the goblins on the eastern tower while another arrow thunks into the ground.

Shalelu shoots at the eastern tower, two arrows hitting the tower itself and one hitting a goblin for 6 damage.

I assume Adalbert actually meant to heal me, rather than Justin (I don't think he's taken a hit this fight). But not counting that at this point.

Move to U8 or V8 as I can reach and would provide the most cover

Iris shoots at the eastern tower, hitting a goblin there for 7 damage. The goblin's head disappears. Justin, with two well-placed strikes, kills the big cat, clearing the ground from all active opposition. Healed a little bit by Adalbert, Lebwen wades into the bushes near the wall to get out of sight of the remaining east tower goblin. Lizuga blasts a sunbeam at the tower, but misses the goblin, who shoots her for 2 damage and disappears.

He advances towards the gate reaching out and pulling at the heavy doors. -

The halfling quickly riffles through the pockets of the goblin shaman looking for stuff that is worthwhile.

The doors seem to be well-made and barred from the inside.

Adalbert checks the goblin shaman's body. The moment he starts, goblin is still armed with a jet of flame, but when the body is moved, he releases the grip and the flame fizzles and disappears, leaving nothing in that hand. The goblin is armed by a wand in his other hand. Another wand and two empty vials are found in his pocket. Overall he seems to have very well made armor and clothing.

With the last of the goblins disappearing from sight Iris pauses for a moment to take stock of the situation. Lizuga at least is in view and seems to be tending someone. On the assumption that the goblins have been beaten back for now Iris ducks back into the thicket and hustles around to take up a better position nearer the bridge.
