It helped, but I already kinda suspected you as well. Even if you hadn't told me flat-out, I probably would've assumed you were confirmed when you claimed you didn't have a power that could target people publicly, while I could see in deadchat that you were one of seven people that targeted me N1.

The only evidence Lord Athos needed at that point was posting the QT. Everybody else in it was dead, unless somebody got invited into super-secret after I died for some inexplicable reason. Unavenger can't fake weeks worth of post from dead townies.

If Unavenger had scried one of you two instead of me (for some reason), then I would've had three people claim devil to me, I would've asked for PM info from all of them, and we could've then tested that with lynches and whatnot. But yeah they could've faked that.

I was kind of expecting people to focus a bit more on their additional win conditions than they did. Although poor AV had zero chance of surviving until endgame (I believe the phrase “kill them with fire” came up in wolfchat at one point!)

Funniest moments of the game:

Valmark effectively claiming Feuding Villain in private to JWL.

AV being scried three times, roleblocked twice, watched once and having their vote stolen once on the same night.

Elenna coming up with a possible fakeclaim that was almost exactly the same as an actual role, right down to the name.

Xihirli lynching wolves by accident and getting killed for it.

A partial win was better than risking just losing by trying to get Athos killed

Valmark, when you read this, I would love to hear your explanation of how Lord Athos could possibly be a wolf.

Besides being extremely good at pretending to be a hero, what made me think it was possible was their reason at the second-to-last day: Thinking that Libro is a wolf because he wasn't voting where he wanted.

That seemed so weird I thought there was a possibility Athos could have been doing it on purpose to throw us off the track, as remote as it is.

For anyone who didn't look at the wolf QT: My idea was basically the Fudge fake-claim I gave the wolves in HP WW, i.e. a power that hides behind someone and can only be night-killed if that person is killed. I called it the Cowardly Villain. Don't remember why I ended up going with the Jack of all Trades fake-claim instead, but I was very happy I did when I realized there was an actual Cowardly Villain role in the game.
(Although Mornshine's role was slightly different in that it protected them from everything but night-kills, while mine would have protected from only night-kills and not any other powers, because that was what we could fake.)

No joke: the first game where mass claims were a thing was an utterly bonkers game in its own right: everybody was told their role/power, which we were told was part of a pair of roles (giving the impression we had an equal-but-opposite out in the rest of the players). But when somebody was lynched or NK'd, their role name was announced as dead, but not which player was dead. That player was still allowed to post and vote, their votes just weren't counted. Oh, and also our equal-but-opposite role wasn't some other player out in the game, it was "us, but when we're dead". Because when you die, your role and power change, but you weren't explicitly told that.

The first night, somebody pulled my usual stunt, except their version was "hi! I start out knowing for sure that one player is town, and that player is you! Hi :)", and they got claims from like half the game (which is about what I get too, come to think of it). And then the wolves used a 1/game conversion to make that player a wolf and everything went downhill from there.

...and then Xihirli proved that she's freaking dangerous because she somehow figured it all out basically on her own.
