Knife Fighter? (3.5)
Looking on a feat list, I saw one called Knife Fighter that apparently negated penalties for using light weapons in a grapple, and allowed iterative attacks during the same.
What book is it from, and what are the prerequisites? Are there any related feats/tricks/spells/etc. that'd accomplish something similar?
Thanks in advance!Rider avatar by Elder Tsofu

You already CAN make iterative attacks in a grapple, I'm fairly sure..

Re: Knife Fighter? (3.5)
This is correct. You can also trade your iterative attacks for almost any of the grapple actions mentioned in the PHB, including pin your opponent, damage your opponent, attack your opponent with their own weapon, attack your opponent with your weapon, or a few other things. The only actions that you can't use with your iterative attacks are things like move the grapple.

Re: Knife Fighter? (3.5)
If you also have a source of additional attacks like Flurry of Blows, those can also be used to make 'grapple actions'...making a grapple action is done in place of an 'attack', so you can make as many grapple actions in a turn as you have attacks so long as you take the 'full-round attack' action.
I apologise if I come across daft. I'm a bit like that. I also like a good argument, so please don't take offence if I'm somewhat...forthright.
Please be aware; when it comes to 5ed D&D, I own Core (1st printing) and SCAG only. All my opinions and rulings are based solely on those, unless otherwise stated. I reserve the right of ignorance of errata or any other source.

Re: Knife Fighter? (3.5)
The only attacks you miss out on in a grapple are two-weapon fighting attacks or secondary natural attacks. Only a single weapon can be used in a grapple, but you get all of your iteratives with that weapon. If a creature has Improved Grab, the weapon that they made the grab with has to be the one they use in the grapple. Even if it get an attack routine such as 2 claws, it only gets to use one in the grapple. Rake attacks are an exception to this, a creature can always make its rake attack(s) in addition to whatever else it does as long as it full attacks. In a grapple, you can either attack with a light weapon at -4, or you can make grapple checks to deal unarmed strike or natural weapon damage to your opponent. You can only make a grapple check for natural weapon damage if you used Improved Grab. If you have a Constrict special ability, this damage is in addition to your unarmed strike or natural weapon damage dealt on a successful grapple check, but those are the only grapple checks it gets added to (i.e. if your opponent tries to escape and you beat their grapple check, you don't deal constrict damage then).
The feat you're talking about is called Knifefighter, found in PGtF but it's also at Crystalkeep (page 143). You should also consider taking the feats Martial Study and Martial Stance (ToB) for the Crushing Weight of the Mountain stance, which grants you the Constrict special attack which deals 2d6 + 1-1/2 times your Str bonus. Even if you're not a martial adept you can have that by level 6.
