    Base classes are not good. They are very not good. Base Classes are big projects. Even the easy ones are several times harder than PrCs. And then you get the hard ones which nobody would be putting enough effort in to actually make here.

    I might crack an ACF open for you, but I'm lost in thought about bees.

    Base classes are not good. They are very not good. Base Classes are big projects. Even the easy ones are several times harder than PrCs. And then you get the hard ones which nobody would be putting enough effort in to actually make here.

    Base classes would definitely be a lot of work. If we wanted something really easy, we could do Invocations maybe. DFA and Warlock could probably use the help, although they're basically just spells again...

    I like the suggestion of GitP Regulars as Planes. People could either write up quasi-/demi-elemental planes or layers/sublayers of outer planes.

    Spells with a worse format that makes them more awkward to write out and relies too heavily on "as spell" Don't get me wrong I love Invocations and would love to do an ~ as Invocations thread, I just loath WotC's formatting decision.

    Maybe your jokes are actually good ideas Zaydos?

    VMC is short for Variant Multiclass. It's exactly as bad as you think it is, only worse. You trade out around four feats for "class abilities" from the parent class that are almost universally terrible and worse than actually multiclassing with the class in question.

    That book's got some very nice things in it. Variant Multiclassing is not one of them.

    My favorite thing from Unchained is probably the Automatic Bonus Progression, but Background Skills are quite nice too (and much easier to fit into a game).

    I'll explain how to do that with the web-hosted desktop version (drive.google.com) since that's the one I'm familiar with.

    1. Hit the "share" button at the top right.
    2. When the "Share with others" panel comes up in the center of your screen, click on the drop-down menu and select "anyone with the link can comment".

    I actually think some of the VMC things are nice, if you have the feats to drop (So Fighter, Monk, and non-archer Ranger). I personally find the Alchemist VMC to be quite useful for fighters, because mutagens, poison immunity and some bombs are pretty useful.

    The combat stamina system is also nice if you allow fighters (or other martial characters) to get it as a bonus feat for free. The Unchained Barbarian is better, they fixed the broken monstrosity called the Summoner (Mostly, I suppose), the monk and rogue got a *very* slight increase in power, though the monk was closer to a wash if anything. Automatic bonus progression and some of those leveling magic items are pretty cool as well.

    I'm really happy with uBarbarian. Finally that Constitution increase is replaced with something that actually matters.

    Summoner isn't fixed, but its spell list is. Eidolons are as strong as ever combat-wise, they just get fewer evolutions (and ball of arms eidolons don't work anymore).

    The Rogue changes are nice, especially the debuff riders on sneak attack.

    I've been getting gradually more and more disappointed with uMonk. They're still MAD, and they still don't have much of anything to do outside of combat.
