I actually enjoyed the arc, and as I said before.

Your characterization/acting (especially for Vati) was phenomenal.

The burnout society was both hilarious, and intriguing.

He sees into a person's heart. F.ex. someone who is evil looks literally black-hearted.

When touching another person, he can also experience their memories. It's bit like dreaming.

If Sol's Anti-Ki blocks telepathy, then Sol will feel dead to him.

I have not recovered, if that is even possible. I am still quite stressed out. IRL may or may not be calming down, at least I have just finished my hopefully, last 8 hour turnover. However it has been, my therapist that believes I should not punish myself by leaving this game. I liked this game, I liked the Burnout Saga, despite the fact that I can't seem to post without taking scorn. I want to be back, since I enjoyed playing Callins and Aspa, and I want to see where Zoyl and Que go, despite I am still having my issues. So am I in?

Ulgo loves his job as a reporter. The ability to determine what truth is is what drives his desires and demeanor as he seeks out information, even at great personal risk, in order to determine the new narrative. However his longevity in addition to his ambition, ego, and desire to create the narrative has blurred the line between truth and fiction in his mind. He can say something is when it isn't and earnestly believe it's the truth just because he said it. Fortunately his delusion is not nearly that developed as he still has enough journalistic integrity to seek out facts before applying his spin. He also prides himself on being the first to a major news story. His own highly developed Veru'nas physiology being more than enough to protect him in dangerous situations.

Though his Veru'nas physiology does lend itself to bloodthirstiness and violence. While he almost never acts on them, he will often pepper a conversation with metaphors of murder and death and expresses no remorse for the dead or dying. He isn't a sociopath, he understands right from wrong, he simply can't comprehend how murder or war falls into "wrong."

His people have evolved on their homeworld of Cassius Prime, in the Whirlpool Galaxy. Cassius Prime is an Earth-Like world with 1.2x Earth's gravity. While this would seem to be the kind of world to foster sentient life that's fairly unremarkable on the galactic stage, as one would imagine it to be classified as a Paradise-World in Arcosian Imperial records, it is, in fact, a Death World. One of the deadliest in the universe. Titanic macrofauna rampage across the surface of porportions to dwarf all but the largest of artificial structures in the universe, each one deadlier than the last, as each segment of the food chain, from the miles-tall apex predators to the poisonous flowers with razor-sharp spines on its pedals, is evolved to kill better than that which would kill it. Even the lowliest of vermin on that world would be considered a horrific and unstoppable monster on even most other death-worlds.

This is where the Veru'nas come in. On their homeworld, they are at the bottom of the food chain. Their only means of survival being their highly evolved intellect and the ability to make and use tools, which improved over time until the Veru'nas became spacefaring. Their physiology, having evolved on Cassius Prime, made them nearly unstoppable among the sentient species in the Universe, as each individual averaged a power-level of around 10,000. Their real edge, however, is their oppressive and brutal warrior-society. Murder and death is the rule. You keep what you kill, and only the strongest and the most cunning make it to the top. To take credit for a kill you did not yourself do is the second-greatest dishonor, second only to dying outside the cycle of violence. As such, it is not uncommon for elderly Veru'nas to lead wars into peaceful, civilized space in order to seek their own honorable death in glorious combat.

In another timeline, the Veru'nas might have become the dominant power in the universe. Their highly advanced physiology and technology would have made them a force to be reckoned with. However the Arcosians struck first. The Empire of Cassius Prime, the ruling nation of the Veru'nas, rules only a few subsectors of Space, surrounded by Imperial territory, who maintains a homeostasis with the Empire. Border skirmishes are very frequent as death-seekers test themselves against the Arcosians but there is presently peace, or at least the closest thing resembling peace.

Those dishonored in Veru'nas society are often exiled. Though the ways in which one may be dishonored are very large and numerous. Disregarding an order from a superior, fleeing from combat, or failing to kill an opponent, this has created a rather sizeable counter-culture of Veru'nas Outcasts in galactic society. A few have even mainstreamed. Ulgo's family are such Mainstream Veru'nas, having sought the pursuit of self-fulfillment over Imperial dictates. Ulgo became interested in reporting at a young age, and through hard work, determination, and several dead bodies, Ulgo was able to become a reporter before being hired by Galaxia. Today, he is their most prominent and (in)famous reporter whose columns and articles determine the news cycle for news stations across the universe.
