Okay. While this isn't formal, we've got a few pages left before the next thread, so in the interests of post wrangling....

This will be approval voting: vote for (and/or propose) as many titles as you like, even if there's only one you like; whichever title has the most people voting for it will be the title of the next thread. In the case of a tie, I will choose one of the tied options. Woohoo, the not-voting I usually do anyway can now be passed off as beneficial!

    Proposed Title Votes Voters
The Index of the Giant's Comments VI - Now Up to 50% On Topic 7 Gwynfrid, Lissou, Squire Doodad, Zherog, DataNinja, Fyraltari, Rollin

And in case anyone missed it earlier, we have three quotes (in two entries) from the current comic discussion thread (1177) up for inclusion in...late October, unless we get another three quotes before then:

    On Loki and (Dis)honesty
"...because his followers believe he is incapable of honesty, he actually is incapable of honesty (except to Thor)". Also, "honesty" is distinct from "not lying": "If Loki tells the truth in the cause of trickery, he is still not being honest.".

The Mutable Nature of the Gods
"...the fact that the gods are the way they are now does not preclude them having existed in some other form in the past—one that we might not have thought of as 'gods' ".

Already did my voting on the title, so I'll stick to this part. I say include both (I believe I already said that, but still).
Each one of us, alone, is but a drop in the sea
Our powers pale compared with the great heroes
Our battles don’t hit theheadlines or shake the earth
But they are few, can’t be everywhere, and we, many
So, when the world or universe needs saving, they come
But when people needs saving, we are the ones to appear
We're underdogs, but we rise up to the challenge to be heroes.

I'm perfectly okay with being wrong in this case, if it means we get a lot more quotes from the Giant. Also, there is insufficient dramatic tension to warrant quoting Mr. Torgue.

Yes spoofing the famous Cato quote is what I'm after. For context for years I had "Ceterum censeo Codex Chaos delendam esse" as sig on Warhammer boards. Because the Chaos Space Marine codex sucked.

I just realised I am always in favour of including quotes. Might as well make that official in Latin, because nothing says official like Latin.

Real world year or in-comic year? If in-comic, Northern or Southern (or Western, I don't know if they adopt a different one)?

Events in the comic itself have pretty much torpedoed that theory anyway, so I don't think there's any point including it.

I agree with this. I'm in favor of including most quotes that are responses to real questions people have actually had, but in this case the question is about such a random and unlikely "theory" that I don't see any value in indexing the answer. It's also not a very interesting question or answer.

No, but there has been speculation that Belkar is about to die, and Minrah will replace HIM.

    Example

And also speculation that Bandana isn't a very popular, so Minrah is replacing her intended role.
    Example

    I say include.

Ceterum censeo locos includendos esse (blame Fyralti).

See how conveneint this would be.

Always when there is some chartacter people like or gets more then a few strips there are ideas they are replacing a major cast member or somehow expanding the Order.

I can't say I'm very convinced by examples that come from outside this forum. Anyway, people will have more or less flimsy theories all the time. Apparently, Rich was annoyed enough by this one that he bothered to quash it. On the other hand, the comic itself pretty much disproves it. Let's say I'm on the fence for now, but leaning against inclusion. Any other views?

I don't think we need to include it. Her role in the comic will become clear as the story progresses. Basically, it's a quote that is telling the future, and the future will be revealed in time. Add it now, and we'll just be removing it later.
If you can read this you are too close.

I'm usually very inclusive, but on this matter I side with this PoV.

Whoever that Fyralti is should have told you that for a single quote it’s ‘locum includendum’ because singular and plural are not the same.

Unless you are talking about you. Well, not you you, but you. You know, you, not really you.

My vote goes to "That's what HE said" as well. Short, true, and will make people groan, which is a bonus :P

    I can’t even... what?
Edit: jasdoif, I am opposed to the inclusion of that tweet, its content is visible from the comic itself.
