Question for anyone who's been to cons before: do you bring your own photos/art for autographs? Should you?

The BronyCon I went to they had fairly good quality photos available, but they will sign other things if you have them (which is how I got a blind bag Twilight Sparkle signed by Tara Strong)

I'm not - EVA was mostly a good series 'till the last few episodes (although I grant you I didn't care much for the films). It was one of the first series I watched back in the day. I suspect it hasn't aged well, though.

(Let's see: Sailor Moon, Rei, two I don't recognise and Ranma. Sometimes MLP is really good with its little shout-outs.)

The two are Bulma from Dragon Ball and Princess Utena from Revolutionary Princess Utena.

That put me off enough the closest I've come since is SFDebris' reviews of the movies. (I do not feel I have missed anything.) The series started off well and degenerated into utter crap. I'd have been even more furious if I hadn't become aware is was rterrible and had some level of bracing. Nevertheless, I came away from it wishing that I could have that time back. It compared ESPECIALLY badly, juxtaposed as it was aired simutaneously and right next to Martian Sucessor Nadesico (it was either before or after, I forget) which remains one of my favourites; a series which was better done in pretty much every single respect, in my opinion.

Yeah, I kinda skip the last two episodes entirely since it's too...how do you say "lacking completely of action, plot, and mostly made up of recaps".

One feels a good sign to the end-of-an-era, twenty-two year old party/campaign that it takes the DM most of the day's quest writing to work out and write down the tactics of the 50th level time dragon monk lich from the stats that took a whole day's work previosuly to create...

For fun, said dragon can easily jump up to 150' (at only a minimal, less than 5% chance of failure) and stands a very good chance of making twice that. While Bruce Lee/Jackie Chaning through all the attacks and hitting like a truck (triple damage, plus an Impact critical of the same severity as the primary, plus an Unbalacing critical one severity less, plus a C cold critical plus 3 points of Con drain (on 1-100)) with its martial arts. No, he isn't even bothering with natural weapons (the PCs should be relieved its Rolemaster, not 3.A), he's just going to flurry-punch them to death in style.

It is going to be so much fun, especially since I can take the gloves off and hopefully kill at least some of the NPCs....!

One in particular, Gillman. That 25 DB that hasn't got you killed yet despite my efforts won't matter when the time drake pummels you for eight attacks at -140 and still be on positive OB, will it? Especially with stuff like Word of Death or Lord Aging (age a hundred years, now target!) on tap as well. Matey.

But said dragon has been a Named Character for more years than the party, actually. (And has had an influence on... several other parties ove the years, in ways very minor to quite large!) In fact, the preivous party, for whom two of the characters stem from, started their adventure is 1994, and that party ended their quest by killing said dragon.

I feel the end of a campaign is a good time to aim for a TPK. Well, I generally feel it's a good time for a TPK, I just usually don't aim for it.

Only once did I end a campaign in a TPK, but the players willingly went for it because it led to saving the world from an alien invasion... well, that and the players Really wanted to roll the damage dice on an atomic bomb.

That sucks. I would say you had passed the point where you should have gracefully just let the thread and never looked at it again, though. People like that are not worth your time, ever. They're not worth anyhone's time. (And indeed, when I am in charge, People That Don't Listen will be strung up right alongside the incompetant and the criminal.)

She was not a particualr favourote of mine, but I find it endlessly infuriating when they fridge characters like that.

As someone who is actually reading the comics in question: Literally, every X-Person still on earth* mourned Rahne.

They all attended the funeral, except Wolverine who tracked down and killed the four people who stomped her to death.

*Most of them are trapped in a pocket dimension that a X-Man created, presumed dead by the people on the outside. Age of X-Man's kind of an iffy story, but it has free-love Communist Apocolypse and that's just so different from anything else that's been done with him that I have to keep reading.

For anyone interested: Rahne and just about every other X-Men and X-Men ally who died since 2008 is alive again.

Like, they don't even explain it. Hickman just did a time skip, everyone was alive, and now Professor X is the King of a Island Nation tradding miracle drugs for people leaving mutants the hell alone.

Normal humans, even ones that were members of the X-Men, not being allowed to live on the Island is a bit... Eh, but.

After being rewritten to fit into this world, Apocalypse is a peaceful(almost pacifistic) rebel against the system. He's a loving father to the rewritten Genesis and is preaching to anyone who will listen that there's nothing wrong with loving people and that family, romance, and sex don't invalidate the uniqueness of the individual and that people should come together to fight alienation, and so on.

He's not exactly a communist since he's not talking about worker's plight and economics, but he's coming from the same place--the pamphlets he gives out for a rally definitely look the part, and the "Apocalypse and the X-Tracts" miniseries, among other things, includes him wanting to recruit the world's last surviving communist on the grounds that communism is ideally the opposite of the system that Apocolypse is opposing.

The fact that Apocolypse is genuinely one of the good guys in this event and is a hard opposite from how he's normally depicted is genuinely interesting to me

Apocalypse made a Face turn and is set to join Excalibur when it relaunches in October as part of Dawn of X.
