I know, I shouldnt have bothered, especially since the video itself tells you to turn it way up about 50 times. But yeah, for awhile there the screaming links were a huge thing. Not even always with the "listen carefully" setup either. I saw flash games that let you get so far before RAAAAAHHH!!! I even saw a site once that had a strategy guide on it. As I scrolled down, it suddenly turned into a huge "scary" face and screamed. People got inventive with that. At least with the rickrolls the closest to inventive we got was altered link addresses that made it look legit, only to find out that he was never gonna give us up.

First World Kitten Problems makes me chuckle.

I was very sad that Llama's With Hats somehow didn't turn into a thing.

Strong Bad and Trogdor kinda fizzled after a while. What with the homestarrunner.com page not actually updating in a very long time. And the creators said they didn't want to flog Trogdor to much because then they wouldn't find it amusing anymore, and that just makes the Cheat sad.

It's a [rhymes with 'ap'] was kind of clever.

    Eeeyup.

Those things made me remember to always check the end of a video to see if it was a screamer.

This is why I take off my headphones., turn the sound way down when something tells me to look closely.
If it's real, it helps me concentrate, and if it's a screamer no reason to blow my eardrums.

Not so much a meme, but I remember back when I was in high school Magical Trevor and the Breadfish were videos that we would quote constantly and put on for humor's sake.

What's funny is that everyone was fighting in Tokyo. Japan gets attacked by everything... because Japan is freaking weird, as anyone on the internet knows.

How was Abraham Lincoln burried in Japan!?!

They made a theme park about him. In the year 20X6. Then they dug up his corpse and buried it at the park.

And Japan has quite the solid cosplay community so he'd barely need to change outfits.
