I believe I've told you all about the time last year a squirrel attacked me. This incident has caused me to be wary of squirrels (and the SQUIRREL MAFIA which is a totally real thing and not all in my head). Anyway, yesterday as I was walking to the bus stop a squirrel made eye contact with me. I held the eye contact, as is my wont, but squirrels are very good at not blinking and eventually I turned away. Then I proceeded to the bus stop, where I was just in time to see the bus pull away. STUPID SQUIRREL MADE ME MISS MY BUS.
The Squirrel Mob would not be pleased with your assertion of their existence, if they existed. They do not. You will take an all expenses paid vacation to lake Lao Gai if your persist in your assertion of existence of the squirrel mafia.

Sorry about that, folks. This plane isn't built like the ones they gave us in the RAF. That sound was the engine misfiring, I'd say... many times. When I tell you to brace, do so.

Ok, fine. Birds aren't generally all that smart, though there are exceptions such as crows and/or ravens, the odd parrot. Good thing they're cute or they'd never live to adulthood, aye.

I need to get my remote control helicopter out of storage and fly it around a couple times. Maybe put a little dart gun on it, but it only has 20 minutes of battery life as it is, so it might not be able to fly with that much extra weight.

Reading about FinnLassie/Fionnuala's trip in randman's plane from her perspective makes me think it's a kidnapping/hijacking escapade that has gone horribly wrong.
Stabilisers not retracting, blindfolds, slightly unsure pilots, passenger shrieking in terror/adrenaline, pilot posting online while driving and talking about not technically crashing.

Certainly not endearing me to flight.

The Playground Airways are a perfectly respectable establishment. Just remember to remind your pilot to keep an eye on their airspeed indicator while making their descent.

I'm... intact, I suppose. I've got a few scrapes, nothing major. My dear bicycle, however, is in tatters. Half the spokes on the front wheel are bent all out of whack, and the fork that holds it in place is snapped in half.

I was riding down the sidewalk when a car turned off the street and into a driveway in front of me. It's Octoberfest in my hometown and the streets are lined with cars, so neither of us saw each other. I slammed into the side of it and fell down to the pavement. The driver got out, apologized profusely, and and offered me a ride home (which I accepted).

I got another ride to the bike shop and it turns out that my Shylock will be out of commission for a week or so while they order parts. So, I guess I'll be walking to school for a while.

Hey, guys. I got hit by a car today.
    Ouch! Hope you're okay

Reminds me of how two days ago I was visiting my sister and when I was helping her get all the groceries out of the car (which took three trips), I walked into her clothes line. Bruise on my forehead hurts. A lot.

I wish, but there's not time for that. We also have serious reading. I'm currently reading a book of poetry called Plume. It's about Hanford and Richland and I don't like it.

Indeed. How far is your school?

Yeah, like that dude in the mirror.

Bah, Kneenibble's poetic eloquence is far superior to mine. He is an accomplished master of the English language, whereas I am merely a musician with an inclination to respond in meter rather than in prose.

Much better now than I was say, midday Tuesday, or even yesterday.

I'd trade you, frozen ursine man
Your weather for what I have got
The leaves have just begun to change
But autumn weather it is not.

(well, I speak only for today, so
perhaps one should read with grains of salt,
As some other days have been quite cool
and windy; 'tis the season's fault)

    Well, strictly speaking, you could.

    You draw pretty well.

ION: Today is apparently one of those "Things Amidus is worrying about are resolved (or rendered moot) with no input from him whatsoever". Something I had no idea how to set up for my workshop homework was explained in sufficient detail as an example in my lecture today. That's going to make tomorrow and this weekend much easier.
Yes quite so. Gender does not always factor into it. So sure, go ahead and admire yourself if that's what floats your boat. Though truthfully I haven't yet seen a guy I find sexually attractive, I can admire someone who is handsome or really stands out.

But you still do grandly. Like that poem there. Do you spend much time thinking these up? It takes a long time for me to even think of writing a small poem, much less these great works.

What, the interesting adventure? Not sure yet, haven't worked out the full details other than the PC's working in some way to stop the dark cult from acquiring something important, but I know I will make at least one or two interesting engaging challenges, where I hope to make and use fun props and settings.

I am glad you are doing better! Yay for having something of a break!

Heh maybe strictly, but only if I was in either a bad or lazy mood. Otherwise I am just too nice. And thank you for the compliment. I actually do see these as some of my best work. My other stuff doesn't really compare to them, but I am working on improving.

Owie! This sounds quite painful. Are you managing okay?

Well that is...wow. I mean it sounds worse that way then how you described it, but still. And sorry for the damage to your bike, fingers crossed for easy repairs.

    Heh.
I have no clue what she looks like, and I am somewhat curious based on how you describe her. Still, it is not like me to inquire how people online look, and especially not like me to comment on their sex appeal, so I shall take your word for it, and hope very much that Zodi does not find my way of discussing this to be rude, because I am really striving to be polite.

Oh you Mynx, just keep being bold.

Well, I mean, it does in a sense, but not how we mean here, no.

Er... yeah, these have pretty much all been off the top of my head. If I took the time and put a bit more effort into it, I might be somewhat satisfied with my writing, but... eh. I've never really thought of myself as a great writer. I've been complimented on my writing once or twice, but... eh. Chalk it up to me being overly critical and largely unimpressed with my own work, I suppose. /Amidus is bad at accepting compliments

*nod* You should tell us in more detail when you've got a more definitive outline for it. I love hearing plots and stuff like that. DMing is fun.

Well, not quite a break (I will be doing homework), but now I've got a much better idea of what I've got to model, so it'll be much easier.
