Guards also have stiff necks, and don't like to look up for no reason.

Point of note: in this area there is a sidequest that raises Chaos, You may want to not do it if you want to go for a low chaos route.

Yeah, not all sidequests will fit all playstyles. Use your best judgment as you go through to figure out which ones fit your playstyle though, it's usually fairly obvious when a sidequest will end up with dead people.

Did you give up and blatantly murder everybody while proclaiming your peaceful intent the whole time? Forced to kill several guards because the context-sensitive 'take cover' button kept making you try to vault over a desk instead of hide under it?

I misunderstood the potency of the incendiary crossbow bolts

Great to see you doing Dishonored. It is one of my favourite game series. The stealth gameplay is great and it has a unique atmosphere.

Your LP has inspired me to reinstall and do a no kills/no detection run along with your progress to get some missing achievements.
Lead to a lot of save spamming.

Audio quality of your voice has improved a lot, makes listening much more pleasant.

A lotta people have said that first bit. Dishonored is a really well liked game!

    Good luck!

Thanks! I'm doing my best to improve bit by bit when it comes to this stuff. It may be primarily a hobby, but it's a hobby I do care about.

It's time to face any stealth game's greatest enemy: the lack of impulse control of the lunatic playing the game.

Zodi Plays: Dishonored [6] Cop Percent Run

    Video Length: 26:06

Granny Rags has asked us to go find her some rat guts so we can poison some mobsters making counterfeit elixir. Given that their stuff evidentely works, that's actually kinda impressive, but I have to imagine these guys are running some serious racketteering and probably cutting drugs into it or something, so we're gonna help out and put a stop to them. But first we need to actually GET to Doctor Galvani's house. That will take some doing, partly because it's basically right outside the exit of this area, and partly because I am easily distracted by random noises, strange looking things, and just in general due to my own mind wandering away without a care in the world.

Somewhat related to this, we encounter the first of what I hope is not many instances where my baser nature takes over and I act on pure raw impulse. A bunch of guards beating up... presumably rats I'm not actually sure, all grouped together in the same spot. I have incendiary bolts. How could I not fire at them? Given the fact that these bolts are used as traps clearly the bolts are EXPLOSIVE, right? Right???... no, they're not, they're not explosive. They're also far shorter a range than expected. Now, if I had known there is a non-lethal drop down assassination move (which there apparently is) I might have been able to recover from this with less bloodshed. However, I stand by my decision, no matter how recklessly stupid and pointless it is. It's better to learn how the bolts work now than in some other time where it'll cause Problems.

That all said and done we make our way over to Galvani's house pretty easily, and that's where we end it off today. I hope you all enjoyed, I'll see you all next time for a video that definitely won't involve me sneaking through an entire area only to futz it up at the last guy, erasing all the good I did. Take care!

Definitely sounding better in this video! Its a good improvement.

Yu know, i have to wonder how the guy on that roof actually got up there. It's not like there's even a convenient awning to climb up.

Huh. You know, I don't think I've ever actually used the heart on Griff. That's a few cool bits of lore there.

"Whoof. Depression gained," describes a lot of plague-related content in this game. The second game involves just as much murder-stabby-times, but Dishonored is still probably the darkest game in the franchise.

Omg you were so close to getting that bone charm in the house there, you didn't look everywhere you thought you did (hint, there's an area you spun around 270 degrees in, but not the full 360 before leaving and assuming there was nothing).

"That" was you standing up and running, making a lot of noise, and attracting 2 guards above you, who you managed to dodge (nice quick thinking), and they ran into a Bottle Street gang member, who they killed.

Love the "Oh hell let's just kill them all oh snap nevermind"

If you want to get a whole pile of them with traps, the spring-loaded razor traps are the way to go.

Don't worry, I do get that particular charm later. After some faffing about.

That still feels so weird that they're prioritize a single ganger over me.

Look, a lady has her needs. And if I see a bunch of people in a group and I am under the believe I have an explosive crossbow shot, I'm going to take the shot. I can't deny all my impulses or I'd die.

I love when my dialogue and actions lead to situations like that. I definitely intended to do much of what I do.

Well... let's see how Perfectly Fine(tm) things go today.

I'll admit that I couldn't quite tell if you killed 3 or 4 during that initial retreat after the... explosive impulse. It looked like 4, but going back only seemed to be 3 bodies, so I only put down 3. (No, going back it looks like only 3, whoops.)

Well, much as you had to kill a lot of people... you also had a lot of non-lethals. You're up to almost breaking even there.

Suburb aiming skills. Suburb. Good luck with having 0 sleep darts.... the night is still young.

Blueprints are indeed very useful. When you return to Pierro you give them to him and he offers you new upgrades/items. Very useful.

To be fair, it's not often enough that I actually get to be my namesake. Usually it's the other way 'round.
