Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Then it's about time we change our practice schedule. I'll start it over on our board.

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Currently have limited access to the internets (work *sigh* though it is amusing I -currently- have access to this site) so can someone please tell me what games are being/have been played today?
I'm aware of Fnatic v Cloud 9, and Bears v Naijin.
Oooh. If you think any aren't worth watching (like an extreme waste of time, massive pubstomp, 3 dc's and 2 bronze 5 vs omg/skt1 style game), that could be helpful. I have things to do tonight that don't involve LoL Damn you life! Damn you...

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Today was Fnatic v Cloud 9 and Gambit v Naijin Black Sword
Both series are worth watching in my opinion. Though maybe notSpoilergame three of Fnatic v Cloud 9, in whichSpoilerC9 gives up two very early kills and the game just snowballs from there
EDIT: Really, all games from here on in should be plenty worth watching. The "weak" teams like GamingGear and Mineski are weeded out. The not super strong teams like Vulcun and Ozone have been weeded out. Now we're left with the four that made it out of groups, all of whom looked really strong, and the first seeds (nominally the best in their region).Last edited by Nadevoc; 2013-09-23 at 10:15 PM.

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Ah, Gambit v Swords.
Cool, cool. Thank you. I was aware of that thing, and was going to avoid it.
I wasn't sure whether to watch
SpoilerGame 1 of NBJ v Gambit. As I had heard it was fairly mediocre. Thoughts? Unfair appraisal?

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
SpoilerNot an unfair assessment. It felt like Sword needed the game to warm up. Nagne in particular was quite unimpressive game one, and the Nunu pick didn't really accomplish much.

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Finally got to play 2 games of ARAM again.
1st as Evelynn lost.
2nd as Vlad won with 1/x/34. The one kill was actually a sniped First Blood.
Didn't kill anything really but really helped my team, even died once to get my team an ACE at first they didn't get me down, and later they couldn't really get me down due to pool and zhonyas.Have a nice Day,
Krazzman

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
The casters at worlds have said that in most games, Corki will do more magic damage than physical. I haven't played much Corki or checked it, but Q, W, and R all do magic damage. And he tends to build around Tri Force rather than a combination of IE, PD, etc, so increased attack speed isn't amazing on him; it can't increase the number of TF procs.

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Well, as I understand it it's actually a question between autohits and burst.
If you want to go for prolongued fights and autoattack then obvious aspd is better. (especially if you want to abuse his passive), however, if you wan tot tri-force burst the enemy down with your Q and R, then Sorc Shoes is better becuae they deal magic damage. So I guess it woudl depend on what playstyle you use.Warlock Poetry?
Or ways to use me in game?

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
Emphasis should be placed on quality of games rather than quantity. A bronze V given enough time will inadvertently accrue 100 wins. Make use of those games, wins or losses. It's no use playing 100 games if you don't look at your games and reflect on them. I'd much rather see someone play 20 games, lose them all and take the time to go over each one and reflect on what went wrong, and think about what steps to take to fix it. Is my map awareness bad? Am I making mechanical errors, how is my positioning, am I where my team needs me to be, etc. Quality over quantity. Quality over quantity. Always.

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
You probably also took steps to try and improve yourself as a player. I'm not saying that playing a lot of games is bad, its just that the number of games shouldn't be the emphasis. Goals are good, just I don't think getting a specific amount of wins is a very good one. Getting better at last hitting. Working on orb walking, animation canceling. Making effective use of time. There are a lot of things you should be paying attention to and I think this goal of just playing a lot of ranked games is somewhat misguided if well intentioned.

Quantity without quality is worthless.
Quality without quantity is useless.
To suceed, we must capitalize on multiplicative scaling.Avatar by Assassin89

Re: League of Legends LII: Sin of the Blind Monk
The title was "We all need our supports" or something like that, so it makes, sense, I just noticed that Thresh is missing from the picture and he is a really popular support AFAIK... I feel he would be the scary caretaker who frightens childs into behaving.
