Most certainly you do, oh, estimated fellow, even though your assertive might have been too brief to achieve the highest ranks of Verbose Pedantry.

According to SRD Arcane trickster includes " an increased effective level of spellcasting". Although, it makes no mention of increasing spells known, which would make it suck for a sorcerer.

AFAIK, all of the "caster" prestige classes (in core) grant caster level except Dragon Disciple. Dragon Disciple is a bad fit because Xykon hasn't breathed fire or grown wings or claws. Also, the class doesn't give you new spell levels, so he couldn't have more than two levels and still get ninth level spells.

Arch-mage complements well as it grants spell slots, cast level and spells known (which is everything sorcerer grants) and it would also allow him to pick spell-like ability (energy drain) which would give him an extra daily casting of the spell; although I wouldn't say there's enough evidence to say that's specially the case.

We can make adjectives into nouns by adding a suffix. In this cases we'd want "enthusiasticant"

I'm sure this has been answered dozens of times, because it's pretty old material, but I'm wondering about Belkar's wisdom.
Wis 8-9 (ability score penalty, and can use a third-level scroll when buffed).
The cure serious wounds scroll was probably written by a cleric, making it a third level scroll, but on the ranger list cure serious wounds is level 4. So wouldn't that mean Belkar has managed to lose wisdom since the early comics?

IIRC the issue is that it’s kind of nonsensical for scrolls to use the users level instead of the writer’s (what if it’s someone using UMD, how do we know what level to use?). There’s no truly satisfying answer in the absence of an explicit WotC ruling about this, so I think we decided to just assume that the scroll carries a level based on its creator, mostly because assuming it’s level 4 yields a result of a wisdom for Belkar that contradicts other evidence.

I actually managed to stumble across the answer when looking up the rules for another situation in the comic:

"Likewise, some divine spells are different in level for clerics and druids than they are for paladins and rangers. Such spells appear at the level appropriate to a cleric or druid (considered the default because paladins and rangers typically don’t involve themselves in scribing scrolls)." Source: SRD

For the purpose of scrolls, every spell on the cleric list is a cleric spell, and the same goes for wizards. Only exclusive ranger spells would go by their ranger list spell level. So 8-9 wis it is.

It's a little detail, and one that we probably already believed to be true, but now we have stated confirmation that Hylgia's "armor" is plate armor.

If we agree to speculate a little more, we could use the visual similarities (aka visual clues) of both her and Durkon's armor to assume his armor is plate armor too. In this last comic, they look pretty much the same kind of armor.

Huh, I thought I'd posted this already but apparently I messed it up somehow.

The armor he currently uses looks identical to the armor he used to use, so I'd say it's bog-standard plate armor, just like his old stuff. Which would also explain how he got it so quickly, that'd be easy to replace.
