Tali, The Children of the Glade (Poisoned World 3.5)
Tali, the Children of the Glade
Spoiler
Alignment: Usually Chaotic Neutral
A winged fey race native to Belladonis, they live in large numbers within the twisting vines of the Tanglevine Jungle, clustering in the area known as the Ribs of Rysk. These agile little fey are natural herders, their talent with animals combined with their excellent vision (especially in the dark) and preference for a nocturnal lifestyle leds them often into working at night. They are often known to seek nighttime jobs, such as watching herds of animals or joining the town's night watch.
They enjoy building complex wooden homes high in the branches of the Tanglevine, something the elves taught them. Originally they were extravagant bird houses that the elves kept, but it caught the eyes of the Tali. Soon the Branches were filled with "Tali-Houses", much to the amusement of the elves. They often share these homes with birds, too, a mutual agreement that doesn't seem to bother either the birds or the Tali.
Tali are about 2.5 to 3 feet tall, weighting only about 15-20 pounds on average. Their big eyed child-like appearance gives them a certain cuteness and charm. They all have over-sized eyes in brilliant blues or greens and so many different natural hair colors that it puts gnome hair-dyes to shame. Their skin tones come in both darker and lighter varieties.
Both genders remain youthful and petite their entire lives, never outwardly aging. Both genders favor short hair, sometimes making it difficult to tell their genders immediately. Their wings slightly resemble a butterfly's wings, with numerous pattern and color combinations, but are thicker and covered in the tiniest feathery hairs.
Tali as Playable Characters:
-4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma. Tali are a child-like race of fey; they are very weak and often times forgetful, but what they lack in ability, they make up with a quick hand and a quicker tongue.
Small Fey: Tali gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –4 penalty on grapple checks, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks. Tali have a space of 5 feet and a reach of 5 feet. Because they are not humanoids, they are unaffected by any spell or effect that affects only humanoids, such as enlarge person.
Movement: Tali have a 20 ft. movement speed. Tali also have a natural Fly speed of 40 ft. with poor maneuverability.
See in Darkness: Tali can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, including that created by spells such as deeper darkness.
Innocence: +2 racial bonus on bluff and handle animal checks.
Perceptive: +2 racial bonus on spot checks.
Starting Languages: Sylvan; Bonus Languages: Common, Elven, Mant, and Undercommon
Favored Class: Druid
Level Adjustment: +1

Re: Tali, The Children of the Glade (Poisoned World 3.5)
thought it would be fun for a playable fey race to join the rosters.

I know their favored class is druid, but if they're childlike it might make more sense to have -2 wis than -2 int.

Fair enough. The race looks good otherwise, most people will worry about natural flight though. I figure it's up to how the DM handles.

Re: Tali, The Children of the Glade (Poisoned World 3.5)
These use Pathfinder rules not 3.5. And you haven't finished converting to 3.5 since your skills are wrong. Stealth is not a skill in 3.5 Racial adjustments balance in 3.5 so having -4 Str is too much. Should be -2.
Flight is worth LA +1 in 3.5.
Space is 5 feet not 5 feet by 5 feet. That is true in Pathfinder and 3.5.

P.E.A.C.H. Please Evaluate And Critique Honestly. Being nicer and kinder doesn't hurt either. Note I generally only critique 3.5 and Pathfinder material.
Please, please, please when using non-core material, cite to the books. There are too many books to wade through to find the one with the feat, special ability or spell you use.
