I'm not ayin gone can't I'm just saying it isn't for me. I'd rather have 5 very good friends then 100's of acquaintances. Which, most of my Facebook friends are as it is.

Letting people get close to you can only help them hurt you more.

I have traveled over 12,000 miles total just to meet some friends I have here in person.
And it just proved that they are really awesome and worth loving and caring for.

I can't wait to cover another 6,000 miles to see and hug them again, but I dread the 6,000 miles back home, when I'll be missing them way too much.

If it was a choice between being on the skinny side of 'right' and on the plumper side of 'right' I'd go for too plump.
People who are too skinny iust look icky, with all them bones poking out of the palce. ANd what are you meant to hold onto with a skinny person? Bone?
There's also the fact that being a little overweight is frankly a good thing. At least in my opinion.
It's only been in the past forty odd years that thinness has become The Thing, whereas before having curves was a good thing.
Having hips and boobies (ones that are natural, not fake) is actually good.
Skinniness can be unhealthy as it means that you are probably underweight. Underweight is a bad thing.

I could say more, but I'd end up swearing or ranting, and that's not a pretty thing.

And I say for the love of Me, because I am a Goddess. Plain and simple.

The thing about stereotypes is that they are true. Not always, but quite often.
It's true, for instance, that Britlanders enioy talking incessantly about the weather.
It's true that you complain about queue iumpers and the lengths of said queues.
The best thing in the universe for Britlanders is to be stuck in a long queue, when the weather's miserable out, and then a tourist pushes in front of you in the queue.
It's true that Britlanders are obsessed with tea.
It's true that Britlanders are very polite, at least to strangers and people in the streets, or in public.

Furthermore, as your intial statement was broad and is easily read as saying that all politeness is bad (whether you intended it to be so or not) I reacted with a broad statement as I was greatly offended by your statement.
    I'm not an idiot.
I'm a naive child who's probably too academically smart for her own good while knowing nothing about real life, but I know people lie.
I have, a few times, lied myself.
I am currently lying to my parents about several things that are a significant part of myself, because lumping them all down at once would not be healthy for them, me, or the family atmosphere.

I know people lie. But don't say that politeness is lying. Because it isn't. It is in fact, the opposite of politeness.

Aye. I find myself more attracted to not-really-overweight women than the not-super-skinny ones. I just find them to be generally healthier. I want a prospective mate (not that I have much experience) that can survive a period of harsh Winter and still have the physical structure to bear offspring.

    Also curves are sexy.

Skinny = Not being overweight (by American standards) in my book. Fat is bad, being pleasingly plump, is not.

    OK.

This sort of admission always depresses me. I try to put on weight, I really do. Or, I try to gain substance at any rate. I can never figure out what a healthy weight is supposed to be for me, but for a long long time I've weighed 130 pounds pretty much on the dot, and this always seems to be more than most every girl I talk to. Only I'm skinny. Really, really skinny. One of the emaciated bony folks that are so unattractive and junk.

And somehow, without ever having lost a pound, it seems like it's getting worse. People who used to say nothing now complain about how thin I am. And I don't know how to fix it, or why it used to be different. All I know is that it's a problem, and it upsets me. Greatly.

So... yeah. Maybe the grass just seems greener, but I think I'd rather be almost anything else other than "skinny".

    How tall are you?

Oh, and how much do you exercise? Having dense muscle mass could make your weight less accurate than it might otherwise be.

    I'm 6'2''.

Which while we're on the subject, is another thing I hate about myself and am powerless to change. This is really starting down a dark road...

Being around 140 lbs and 6'1'' tall, I understand you very well, my dear Phoe.

And you know about my diet habits... I just can't put on weight...
