Default Yahoo is shutting down Groups, starting 28 Oct.
Final deletion of all content, 14 Dec. Looks like the email function will remain, but everything else will be lost.

For some reason I can't get that link to open. The URL looks okay, but it tries to open a new tab and then instantly vanishes.
I haven't had any other link cause this behavior, no idea what's happening.

Yahoo! Has been on its way out for a while. They tried to pull off a bane capital style sell off, couldn't get a buy to go through and their entire upper staff left. They only have cutting staff and services left before bankrupcy.

I guess that was sort of inevitable. I used to like them but I bailed out on them years ago after the big data hack. Getting bought out by Verizon and Oaf didn't exactly encourage me to rethink my decision either.

A lot of people still use it for a lot of niche information. Gonna be a busy few weeks downloading stuff.
