Those aren't actually painted, they kept a bare stainless steel finish. And that's a pretty common mod for DeLorean owners, they're not too hard to find for sale! I know this because it's not uncommon for me to look for them and check out the pricing.

A friend of mine is a major BTTF fan. To the point that for his birthday in 2015 I tried to get him Marty Mcfly's outfit. The vest is nearly impossible to find a screen-accurate version of, the denim jacket has a very off-standard liner, and I was going to just hand-make the shirt myself but the fabric only exists anymore in a specific Marty McFly bolts specifically modeled off the original costume and costs an ungodly amount per yard.

It's a shockingly difficult costume to get screen accurate, due to the vagaries of the textile industry.

When 2015 rolled around everyone was asking about flying cars.

Personally, I was wondering where the hell the hoverboards were.

Let's be honest, if everyone has a flying car you're gonna need so much regulation for who can go where and do what with it that all the freedom of having a flying car would go out the window.

Wehmve had flying cars for decades upon decades. And there is a huge amount of regulation about em, you're right on the money there. Mostly, though, it's just a cost issue.

So anyway I left YouTube and I'm taking a very long break because I just can't deal with the toxicity, bullying, bigotry, weirdos, creeps, stalkers, and hateful people that YouTube represents their platform besides I posted my videos on TikTok and I start my Twitch account yesterday. More importantly, I have better things to do in my spare time and life to deal with a bunch of adults who act like newborn babies on that platform. Sorry, not sorry.

You know, I think this is the fourth time you've done this. Are you expecting it to change in the time you take a break, or what?

That doesnt really answer my question. You need a cooldown time, fair enough. But I'm unclear why you would want to go back. You keep complaining about the toxicity and the drama, which as far as I understand is very true and very real, so why don't you just leave forever? Why even entertain the idea of going back?

You seem to contradict what you said about: 'you need a cooldown time, fair enough.' but at the same time you said 'so why don't you just leave forever?' You see where the contradiction is coming from in your statement.

No, I don't. If I eat a steak and it gives me food poisoning, I dont think "It will be a long time before I eat that steak again" I think "I am never going to eat that steak again."

To answer your original question. I have so many supporters/subscribers who love my content on YouTube. Also if I want to quit YouTube, I might as well delete my YouTube account and that will be the end of that but I'm not going to delete it because of the hard work that I gain my subscribers with so much effort that I have been on YouTube for so many years and like I said I'm taking a very long break on YouTube to focus other things in my life now.

There's no contradiction there. It's saying "you want to do X, but you're going to stop doing X. Why don't you just keep doing X forever?" There's no contradiction at all, and saying "you see where the contradiction is coming from" is not an explanation at all. Things like that can be said when something is self-evident. Your assertion was not self-evident, because it was incorrect.

I see your point. But as I mentioned before I'm taking a very long break from YouTube. If I wanted to quit YouTube altogether then I would have just deleted my YouTube account but I'm not going to delete it because I have supporters who enjoy my videos and I work very hard to earn my supporters. I mean if I didn't have any supporters then I would have deleted my YouTube account and that would be the end of that. More importantly, it doesn't make actual sense to delete a YouTube account by earning a lot of supporters who watch videos that they enjoy.

They were there. They justlooked really silly

To be fair I understand that there's two big issues with the hoverboard dream. The first is that it's just too bloody hard to get two (or more) powerful enough props in that small an area. The second is that they'd be even more difficult to use and probably even more dangerous than skateboards.

That's beside the limitation it shares with jetpacks, helipacks, rocketpacks, hoverbikes, jetbikes, and so on. It's hard to get a good amount of fuel in such a small volume.
