Re: "What Characters should really be called" by Ali S. Fakenamington
Spoiler
So the song runs on, with shift and change,
Through the years that have no name,
And the late notes soar to a higher range,
But the theme is still the same.
Man's battle-cry and the guns' reply
Blend in with the old, old rhyme
That was traced in the score of the strata marks
While millenniums winked like campfire sparks
Down the winds of unguessed time. -- 4th Stanza, The Bad Lands, Badger Clark

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
I am pretty convinced that he is talking about his sack of nuts, the orbs at the base of his tower, those that may hang low and might also wobble to and fro, which he may be able to tie in either a knot or a bow, which may give him a funny feeling should they hit upon the ceiling, and reiterate may hang low.
To be clear I mean his danglies.Last edited by dancrilis; 2015-06-11 at 10:41 AM.

Hey, -I- was trying to keep it PG. But yes, I do believe that is the part of Belkar's anatomy he is talking about.

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
The younger of my beloved daughters suggests "the blond guy" (Elan) and "the chick" (Haley) from p. 69 of OtOoPCs.
For completeness, I should also point out "a man with a REAL class" (Belkar) from p. 62 of OtOoPCs.

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
Also, a correction: in 673, Belkar calls Durkon "Bristle Steelpanties," not "Bristle Steelpants."

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
spot on -> fixed
also fixed
I'm on the fence myself. Since there are other things on the list I personally can't say why they should be included while this isn't, I will go ahead and add it. If there are other forumites that think it shouldn't be here, I will most likely remove it (as long as there isn't more support to keep it).

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
Yeah, his exact phrasing is "Stupid vampire", not both capitalized, which makes it sound like it's just an insult.

How is that different from "you fascist cow" or "Miko's stupid horse" ?

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
I'm not sure those should be counted either. They seem more like generic insults than things like "Lurky Corpsewhiskers" or "Captain Wallow-Pants".
I guess it's a fine line, though.Last edited by ti'esar; 2015-12-16 at 04:14 AM.

Re: Spontaneous nicknames from Belkar
Does calling Bloodfeast Big Guy count? Or the guards a "Guard buffet"?
Also, why isn't Miko's Paladin-turned-murderer also there for 419?Last edited by Markozeta; 2016-02-01 at 06:12 PM.
