FAQ:

1. What's the point? Isn't there already a good aligned organization? Why didn't you just join HALO?
   
   OOC, we have nothing against HALO. (IC may be a different story.) However, we wanted an organization that only allows good-aligned members and focuses on the redemption of evildoers. If the real world can have multiple organizations for the purpose of doing good, we don't see why the forum can't hold more than one as well.
   
   
2. No seriously. Aren't you just a HALO clone?
   
   Not intentionally. We have our own purpose and our own mission, which overlaps somewhat with HALO's, but is not identical.
   
   
3. Why don't you let anyone post in the main thread without PMing first?
   
   OOC answer: Honestly, we tried it, and it was too chaotic to read.
   IC answer: You don't let strangers wander into your house at all hours, do you? We just want to know who is in our house.
   
   
4. Still, it seems awfully rude. You've offended a lot of people.
   
   We're sorry. We didn't mean to.
   
   
5. What's the point of the visitor's centre?
   
   We still want to play nicely with others! So we set up the visitor's centre thread to provide an IC access port.
   
   
6. Are you part of the Town? Or are you in an extra dimension?
   
   We didn't really know at first, but when AMEN contacted us, it seemed clear that we inhabited some sort of reality with AMEN and HALO. Which means we aren't Town. I think. (Really, we're making this up as we go along!)
   
   New answer: Everyone's a part of the town, but the rules are different here, Town laws do not apply. ACRONYM rules do. So respect the rules, and we will all get along just fine.
   
   
7. Will you be interacting with the other groups?
   
   Yes, but we haven't worked out the mechanics yet. We're officially at war with AMEN, but we don't want random fighting going on in our headquarters. So we might be setting up a war thread or a plot thread or something, but we don't know yet.
   
   As far as HALO goes, we have no formal ties with them, though there is some membership overlap, and we're currently in discussions. IC, some of us have formed a negative opinion of HALO. It doesn't mean we have a problem with you OOC. (Honestly, Turtle isn't the brightest crayon in the box, and she's very defensive about being a former evildoer.)
   
   
8. GLoG is a pretty silly name, isn't it?
   
   Yes. Yes it is. One of our founding members used to belong to the Evil League of Evil (If you haven't heard of it, google 'Dr Horrible'), so when she turned good, it seemed reasonable to form the Good League of Good.

The GLoG/HALO portal:

The portal between GLoG and HALO is still open.

But anyone passing through it arrives outside the front door. If they've already been cleared (previously interacted with GLoG without hostilities), they can walk straight in without having to roleplay out knocking on the door and so on.

First time visitors, or people who have previously caused trouble have to wait for someone to undeadtime to decide whether they can pass or not.

I come back into GLoG, swipe my card or do an eye scan, or whatever it is that gets me in, with windswept hair, a sports bottle of water in my hand, and a bike in the other. Great weather for biking. ((IRL as well. ))

Turtle, who seems to still be completely alive, despite appearances, climbs out of Fan's coffin and wanders into the greatroom.

DC is... Still unconscious in the infirmary. Yep.

Turtle's 'somebody is undeadtimed' detector goes off, and she finds herself compelled to wander to the infirmary.

Where she 's, her eyes glow blue, her hands grow warm, and she places them on Darkcomet's shoulders, channelling divine healing into him.

Well, he was already healed, but merely lost a lot of blood. I imagine the IV would have fixed that by now.

He wakes up, and his non-IV'd arm's hand moves up to his face.

So the cat didn't claw my face off. That's a surprise.

I put the bike back in my room, shower, and get dressed in less sweaty clothing, before noticing hurt people in the infirmary, which I check out.

((You didn't say anything, so I didn't know you were still here, Randy.))

"What happened to you?" Turtle asks Darkcomet.

[Darkcomet]

Furballs with really nasty teeth under the fur. One latched on to my leg.

"Ouch," Turtle says, wincing in sympathy. Of course, knowing her, she wouldn't have actually winced at all if she were in the middle of being eaten by a hair thing. "Have you met Randy before?" she asks.

[Darkcomet]

Can't say I have.

He looks at Randy suspiciously, like he does with a lot of people he doesn't know.

I look at him, and, ignoring his suspicious look, look at his wound.

[Darkcomet]

It's healed already, though you can easily tell where it was due to ripped-open pants around where it was.

"Randy is one of our first members, though he often disappears for long stretches of time. Randy, this is Darkcomet. He is not a member, just someone I'm trying to keep alive."

And that's when Turtle realizes that probably no one has told Randy about Czernov's death. And this is probably not the right time.

All right, I see. It's healed already? No lasting effects? I ask DC.

[Darkcomet]

No, I'm fine.

He looks at Turtle.

On the bright side, I managed to psych out the cat.

Okay, that's good. Nice to meet you.
Is it that hard to keep a person alive? Why do I get right to the point one minute, and then ask questions around the point the next?

Have you learned why he's helping the lich? Turtle asks.

"It's hard to keep Darkcomet alive. He has a knack for making enemies."

Suddenly her eyes glow red and she leaps on DC, attempting to bite his throat and drain his blood.

Decker awakes in Butler's room, where she'd been asleep under Kaela's crib.

[Darkcomet]

You know, I'm expecting that any moment now...

No. But I think he lost something. Like I did.

There are times I wonder why I'm not dead yet.

He sighs.

[Reinholdt]

Butler yawns and gets out of the guest bed. Even if Decker wouldn't take the main bed, he wouldn't feel right taking it either with guests. He'll check on baby Kaela, getting him food, dressed, and playing.

He'll then peer under the crib at now awake Decker. "You know ma'am, I offered you the main bed ma'am. I don't understand why you didn't take it ma'am."

"Ah, but it doesn't matter does it ma'am. Did you have a good night's sleep ma'am?"

[happyturtle]

Decker stretches elaborately. "I don't like beds. Swans don't usually sleep in beds. Devils don't either."

If Darkcomet is paranoid enough to watch Turtle's mouth, he might notice that her canine teeth appear to be normal teeth and not fangs.

Of course, she is a shapeshifter....

I need to talk to Randy alone, she tells Darkcomet. I don't think he knows yet about Czernov.

There was a period of time in which I wondered how I managed to live. I know the feeling.

...Actually, there were two or three periods of time.

"Swans, and devils ma'am?" Butler is confused. He'll hold out his hand to help her get up.

[Darkcomet]

I'm still hooked up to this IV. Care to get it off?

Of course, it's not like DC not being in there physically would stop him from listening in.

Decker giggles. "I'm a devil, see?" She points to her horns. "And a swanmay too..." her voice trails off as she looks at her rather bedraggled cloak. "I can't turn into a swan any more though."

Turtle gets one of the med drones to help Darkcomet, and turns to Randy. "Can I talk to you in the other room, Randy?"

DC sits up. He considers saying something, but decides not to.

After getting Randy off to a quiet corner, Turtle sits down with him. "I don't know if anyone told you about Czernov." She hesitates a moment, then decides the blunt approach is the best. "He was murdered."

[Reinholdt]

Butler gives her a reassuring smile, mostly comprehending for once. "I'm sure you're just as lovely as a swan as you are now ma'am. But what's wrong ma'am? Is there anything I can do to help, ma'am?"
