Re: [Nexus] OOC 41: Look! Up in the sky!
We should maybe have discussed this more.
Anyway, I have just had an idea:
Spoiler: If your Darkfriend is/was a cell leaderHer cell was tasked to work with another cell; something went wrong (or right!) and she foisted all the blame on the other cell-slash-took all the credit. Rival cell's boss now wants to be even.
Spoiler: If your Darkfriend is/was a lone operativeThey were called to work with a cell, things went wrong, she foisted all the blame on the cell. Or the cell leader got jealous and thought she was trying to usurp their position. Or really doesn't like Channelers/Aes Sedai.
In either case, she remains in favour with the higher ups, but not with somebody of a similar rank capable of bullying their own underlings- and if they're low enough down the food chain, likely the higher ups won't care.
In unrelated (honest!) news, do you have any plans for your girl's family?Terrowin Avatar by HappyTurtle. Much thanks!

Re: [Nexus] OOC 41: Look! Up in the sky!
This has got my creative juices oozing into my imagination and internal cognitive characterisation array and I might now be considering a Westlander character myself, though I have no idea when in the timeline you're using with regards to events and abilities.
Also, what's your thoughts for my previous, spoilered suggestions?Terrowin Avatar by HappyTurtle. Much thanks!

Hmm. The latter, I think, with her not having tried to take over, since she was confident that if things went well, it'd be enough for now.
And at the moment, up to perhaps Knife of Dreams. Skipping straight there from perhaps a quarter of the way through Dragon Reborn, mind; I read KoD first and then blew through the first few books.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 41: Look! Up in the sky!
Oh, so Book Eleven. I've reread the whole series several times; I'd recommend doing that, actually, as there's several mentions to the Prophecies of the Dragon that are too obscure at the time to even guess yet; but when re-read, are clear as day.
Spoiler: Wheel of Time Spoilers! Caution! Pre-Book 11, I thinkAfter the fall of the Stone of Tear, Moiraine mentions several other prophecy fragments nobody understands to demonstrate the stupidity of trying to do certain things in a certain order. One of the things she mentions is 'He shall cleanse the ancient wound', or something similar in verbosity and opaque wording that, when re-read, obviously means the cleansing of Saidin. I don't know exactly what she says, though, but I instantly knew what it meant.Terrowin Avatar by HappyTurtle. Much thanks!

Well, mostly book eleven, but anything introduced between then and three isn't going to really be involved.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 41: Look! Up in the sky!
Are you planning on reading books four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten? They're all really good, y'know. Mind you, I'm quite an avid reader, although I've slowed down a lot recently due to electronic entertainment, so naturally I'll recommend reading, and each has its own epic moments and things that make it worth reading. In book nine, for example, is the thing I referred to in my spoiler.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 41: Look! Up in the sky!
Ok, so, I'm kind of new here I have a character named Tanar who is currently living at GLoG. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for how he could help out at GLoG or anything else I could do with my character.
Also, no one's been posting in the Crossroad.

I am! I just haven't had time to finish reading them. I'm essentially using the bookstore as a library, so I'm getting through half of one or so every time I can get up there.

Re: [Nexus] OOC 41: Look! Up in the sky!
I have only one request today: Next thread must have a Hitchhiker's Guide reference in the title.
"Are we living a life that is safe from harm? Of course not, we never are. But that's not the right question. The question is: are we living a life that is worth the harm?"
