The body makes a pleasant chime as Mainframe downloads into it. The body's memory capacity is such that Mainframe could move a complete version of itself into it. As Mainframe settles in, the body slackens slightly, loosing the robotic rigidity as the limbs unlock, ready for use. The systems onboard are extensive but easily used, and the weapons require unlocking before each use, protecting against unintentional firing. What's more, the targeting bank allows for marking specific targets as friendly, which can be toggled with the targeting systems to disable weapons should they be pointed at a friendly. All of the current GLoG members are already marked friendly.

All that aside, the body is surprisingly light weight. And more importantly, extremely mobile. It has a wide array of scanning equipment, allowing Mainframe to hear, see, smell, taste, feel, and a good half dozen other senses. She can also talk through a vocal emitter mounted in the head. And even more important, her eyes are able to change color depending on her mood! =D Right now they are a gentle blue.

The weapons system is impressive, but comes at a cost. Mainframe's body is protected by a relatively thin armor to save on precious weight. Still strong enough to protect against most attacks, but sustained abuse will prove damaging. Also, there are subtle kill switches and overrides for use of Miss Kale, just in case the body malfunctions. Or she wants absolute control over Mainframe. Of course, they are on isolated circuits and extremely well hidden from Mainframe.

Also, Mainframe might recall something about transmitting on a super low frequency for a few days. That subroutine is already highlighted and ready to activate.

Miss Kale will no doubt want to stop Cal. If the world is destroyed before her internship is over, she won't get any course credit! D=

Val seems to calm a bit, as she can sense that the device is gone. Daisuke, the device is gone. Please let me out.

Daisuke focuses, and the chains shatter. He then releases Abigail from her restraints, and then pulls Abigail and probably Val into a hug.

Val hugs Abigail as well still not feeling to happy.

She looks up at Daisuke. I'm sorry, I didn't want to hurt you. I really didn't. She says hiding her face in her shoulder as he hugs her.

Val just shakes her head as she hugs him. Oh gods what did I do?

She frowns, not only thinking about the way she fought him, but also what she did while she was staying here, what she did with Julia.

"No..." The drowess frowns slightly, considering what exactly her relationship was to these children. "I am your aunt. Aunt Danube." She decides upon, smiling. "I am the Matron Mother of House Xar'Cha. Your House. Your Family." she explains.

The two kids look up at her with wide eyes.

What? House? Matron Mother? Xar'Cha?

Still... she was smiling. Couldn't be all that bad. They're definitely quiet now.

Val nods. Yeah, I guess I understand. She says but she still feels sad about what she did.

Val, I was... so frightened when I realised you had been kidnapped... sorry for taking so long to get you...

I noticed Abigail was gone and went looking for her. She snuck up behind me and injected me with something. I tried to fight her off but I couldn't... I just... she knocked me out.

It's all right. Sometimes, it just happens.

[McBish]

I should have been able to fight her off. She frowns and looks down at the ground.

You were blindsided. Sometimes, it happens.

She probably teleported behind you or something...

Val nods and falls into deadtime.

And Daisuke continues hugging her! Awww.

...oh! Susan may see Julia getting up now.

Danube seems to sense the children's confusion. "Do not worry. You will learn, in time." She assures them. "Now, there are things I must attend to. Behave yourselves. I shall return." The drowess turns to walk towards the door.

Outside, Raril was explaining "You're lucky because I'm the only drow here who speaks Common, so they won't have to beat you half to death when you refuse to answer their questions." This drow was different from the others, not dressed in uniform or particularly heavily armed. "Or my questions, I suppose, since I'll be the one asking them. So, you just happened to stumble upon one of my family's secrect groves?" he asks, raising an eyebrow.

This is my first time down in the underdark. i have no idea who you are. I got lost down here, and I heard the sound of running water.so i stumbled upon this stream she looks more scared than before.

The children watchs Danube quietly, with just a bit of a whimper. But they are soon distracted by all the pretty colours.

She can leave knowing her cart is in good hands.

A flash of sympathy crosses Raril's face. This girl really was just lost, and thugh she might have escaped a slow death in the tunnels, her new fate was not likely to be much better.

"Alright, I believe you. And that's the good news." He sighs heavily before continuing. "The bad news... You are going to be a slave. It's either that or they'll kill you. In fact, they might still kill you, if you don't do as you're told. Or if they simply feel like it." Raril was trying very hard to keep the look of disgust off of his face. He hated what his family did. over a decade on the surface had changed his opinions on things quite dramatically. "I'm going to try and keep you myself. That way you can have some protection. Unfortunately, right now I don't have a lot of power here, but it's all I can offer you. It's that or you can take your chances with the rest of them." He nods to the other drow in the grove.

But Melody stands up and opens the door. Then let's go to GLoG.

She steps out and heads for the Barn.

Mainframe's chassis returns to the AuxCave, having installed the portable version of itself onto the Airship in Peace.

Somewhere along the way, it activates the transmisison that Miss Kale asked for. It didn't intend to, but all of the subroutines influenced it at a moment when it was juggling several things, and it got done below its conscious level.

Din forces herself to calm down: Thankyou. This is better than I had anticipated. I was expecting to be dead just now. I would have never expected such..... careing in a drow. for now, I will do what i must to survive

This is really hard for Memzee.

And for Avatar, for that matter. The both of them know full well the sort of fate that may very well await the poor girl. And to say that it's not very nice would be an understatement of rather epic proportions.

What makes matters worse is the fact that Memzee would love to offer some degree of comfort. But... she's playing the part of a drowess right now. And a draigloth, no less. Any degree of compassion on her part would blow her cover in an instant. And this is the only way she could think of to get into the city with Raril and hopefully be allowed to move about freely.

That explains why she's watching her husband speak with a sort of aloof disinterest. After all, the woman down there is just another surface elf, fit for terrible treatment and so forth.

The act makes her sick.
