It's that time of year again! Um... well at least I think it is. I have some time off, so I'll ask you guys to stat each other as vestiges.

What's a vestige? According to Tome of Magic, vestiges are things that shouldn't exist because they don't. Many myths surround them, but they are assumed to be spirits cast off into the void.

Why do players care? Binders can bind them for benefits, like fire breath, dancing, being good at lying, selling portions of your body for extra damage... you know, the good stuff!

What should the vestiges include? Well, a vestige entry is made up of a short description, a vestige level (1-9), a binding DC (affects influence), a special requirement (like bones and stuff or drawing the binding circle in a certain way, options), a Legend (how did this become a vestige?), a manifestation (what does it look like when you summon it?), a sign (what you look like when you bind the vestige), influence (how does it make you act?), and a set of abilities it grants (usually one with a five round CD, one useful at all times, and one that scales with level).

Other rules? First, you must have the permission of the GitP poster you are statting. Secondly, it'd help if each entry and permission/request came with a link to the post on the name so I can Copy/Paste it into the thread.

It's from Radiance House, not DSP. And they actually made an archetype for every class (up to/not including hybrids) that converts them to Binding.

Also, Paizo's upcoming Medium looks like a solid Binder port (Occult Adventures playtest, if you're interested)

I did name the second "Can you cheat at D&D" thread (started it as well), as well as the current Dysfunctional rules thread. I'm also the one who first pointed out that jedipotter thought bags if holding were cheating. Not sure what else I've done worth mentioning.

Influence: You become curious about how to roleplay something properly. Whenever you do something you don't like, you must spend at least five minutes considering your own character.
Granted Abilities
Fast Learner: Whenever you are the recipient of an Aid Another check for skill check you make, you gain a +1 insight bonus to that skill for as long as Atemu1234 remains bound. This stacks up to a +5 bonus.
Low-OP Necromancy: You use Animate Dead as an SLA. You may raise only zombies, and may control up to your Binder level in HD at a time. You do not need to provide any material components, and may only use this ability once every 5 rounds.
High-OP Transmuter: You gain Baleful Polymorph and Polymorph as SLAs. After using one of these abilities, you may not use either of them for 5 rounds.
Desperate Illusionist: You gain Shadow Conjuration and Shadow Evocation as SLAs. When using one of these abilities, the reality percentage of your illusions is 5x1d20 instead of the normal amount. After using one of these abilities, you may not use either of them for 5 rounds.

Well, I looked through his earlier thread, and there was a lot of RP advice questions around when he joined. But lately, I've mostly been seeing him posting as the person giving advice, and it is generally quite good. So I went with when you get help, you get consistently better at the thing you got helped with.

The magic stuff came from this

I know, it surprised me too. They may not be the best on the power front, but for flavor it's hilarious. The Evil charisma spirit is able to kill people by shutting them down.

an immediate action after verbally rejecting the creature,
affecting it as if by a phantasmal killer, except the effect is an
enchantment [compulsion] instead of illusion [phantasm]

succeeds at the Will save, it becomes unfriendly to you and
can never become infatuated with you again. If it succeeds
at the Fortitude save, it is still infatuated with you, and you
can attempt to crush its heart again.

Well, there are better ways of killing people. Just saying. Not to mention you are the one dumping them, so it's just adding spite into the mix rather than retribution.

My legend should involve my vestige learning from another, losing them before he finishes training, and learning the rest from books. Or is that too personal...?

Yeah, Polymorph on a vestige is crazy good, especially as most Binders are outsiders thanks to either Zceryll or KoSS.
