Re: Webcomic List
I have to report that it appears webcomicsnation is down. As a result The Bare Pit link doesn't work.

Re: Webcomic List
I'm looking for a comic I once stumbled across, but can't recall the name. It's mostly one-off panels, art style remniscent of Calvin and Hobbes, follows a band of adventurers through D&D scenarios?
many thanks

I suggest you start a separate thread for this. You are more likely to get an answer that way.

Re: Webcomic List
Oddly, you have Menage a 3, but not either of the spinoffs (Sabrina on the Rocks or Sticky Dilly Buns). Also with Eerie Cuties (Dangerously Chloe and the other one). I'll see if I can find links for you.
Also no 3 Minute Max, Out Of My Element, Pepperpot Piper, My Hero, The Specialists, Vanguard or Far Side of Utopia.

Re: Webcomic List
I'd be astonished if SFP wasn't on the list- I'm pretty sure it's had ongoing discussion threads.
Uh, Let's Speak English was a pretty fun romp. Is that on there?Give directly to the extreme poor.

Rising Sand was linked from Daughter of the Lilies recently. It looks like it's worth a gander.

Re: Webcomic List
Wow that list is huge. There is almost literally an infinite bout of webcomics to read. I have a comic I would like to add to the list, but I don't know how the rules of it would go.

Re: Webcomic List
Tailsteak, author of 1/0 and Leftover Soup webcomics, has launched a new sci-fi webcomic Forward. Please include it in the list.
Nathan Burney has been running The Illustrated Guide to Law (lawcomics) for like half a decade by now, I just forgot to mention it. Please include it.
David Morgan-Mar, famed creator of Irregular Webcomic, has three comics that don't seem to be listed: a completed one Planet of Hats, and one he's making together with Andrew Sellshear and is currently on a pause near the middle of the story, Eavesdropper, and the very long comic mezzacotta. DMM also edits some more collaborative comics built from viewer submissions that aren't listed: The Dinosaur Whiteboard, iToons (previously edited by Cody), and the minimalistic Comments on a postcard; as well as a comic by a different creator Ian Boreham The Prisoner of Monty Hall. Most of these are worthy to include in the list.
And although I much preferred the previous name, apparently the publisher somehow forced Dana Simpson to retitle the long-running comic Heavenly Nostrils to the completely inappropriate title Phoebe and her Unicorn. I leave it upon the maintainer of the list to decide how to handle this.
Also, a few totally random webcomics of which I know almost nothing but a name and URL, but they're all linked from a compilation strip in iToons: Andy Capp, FoxTrot, It hurts, Jump Start, Rose is Rose, Whomp, Xorph,Last edited by b_jonas; 2018-09-09 at 05:43 PM.

Re: Webcomic List
Added/changed everything except for Comments on a Postcard, where none of the pictures would load for me.

Re: Webcomic List
Comments on a Postcard is a minimalistic comic based on that concept. There are no images for any strip except the default one, nor any strip titles. The only varying part of the strips are the author notes (annotations for the strip written by the author of the strip, which are used in most of the other DMM's webcomics) and a varying sentence in the line for citing the creator. The comic is a collaborative creation, but DMM was probably inspired by Dinosaur Comics (Ryan North) when he created it, since he's known to be a fan of that one.
There's no easily accessible overt explanation of this conceit anywhere on DMM's pages, so many visitors think at first that the images don't load. http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/dra...pic.php?t=9205 is canon proof by DMM that that's how it works though, and gets emails complaining about that. This also reveals that the About page and the FAQ page chooses a random sample from a pool of entirely different texts, and some of the texts on the About page give a hint. One of these says "How awesome would it be if someone produced a webcomic without the comic? Each day, they'd just post the author comments for the comic, and leave it up to the reader to imagine what they actually drew. / Perhaps there could be a fictional backstory about the mysterious lost comic for which only the author's comments survive." Most of the other texts in About are the fictional backstories mentioned in that.Last edited by b_jonas; 2018-09-13 at 10:56 AM.

Re: Webcomic List
Now I kind of have to wonder if it still counts as a comic, but okay.

Re: Webcomic List
Yes, that's reasonable. I'll try to find a definitive statement from DMM that it's a comic. Since DMM is an acclaimed webcomic author, and already was when he started Comments on a Postcard, it would be enough of a proof.
The sidebar of the Mezzacotta comic lists Postcard under the heading "Comics", together with most other webcomics hosted by DMM. Mezzacotta is a comic created by a small team including DMM, but I think it's very likely that DMM created or at least reviewed the interface including that sidebar. (The other comics use a shared template that list the comics at the bottom, but there's no clear "Comics" heading in them.)
There's a more clear statement in the news archive of Mezzacotta, on the fifth page. This comment is posted by DMM on 2008-12-08, and says "We’ve just launched yet another brand new webcomic: Comments on a Postcard. Check it out!"Last edited by b_jonas; 2018-09-13 at 01:38 PM.

No need to dig up evidence. The "but okay" was meant to signify that I'd already amended the list.

Re: Webcomic List
Everyday Heroes is a superhero webcomic. I don't know why I left it out from previous updates, probably because the webpage was inaccessible for a while.

Re: Webcomic List
Scurry is an excellently crafted webcomic that is ultra detailed in its art and centers around mice in what seems to be a post apocalyptic earth, where animals rule. It's riveting.
