Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
This castle and surrounding town has been the point of contention for many battles, now deserted it makes the perfect hideout for the last humans in this fading world.
My lands, I finally get to say it properly, mother. Mine, always and forever, now that sister is gone. All thanks to the unseen but felt, what more can be done with this connection?
Three months now we have been adrift, three months. They expect me to be thankful that i'm alive, the trip should have been instantaneous for me.
Humans and ravenous mutants
Succession after the death of a queen
Travelers lost in the stars
Reality distorts and what once was separate now converges. It starts with thoughts, but how does it end?
Information
Spoiler: RulesEach player starts the game with three roles, one for each world (ex: (red) town, (green) wolf, (blue) mason this player would hunt for wolves in red and blue but strive to kill others in green).
Votes will be in the color of the world they wish to be used in, the player must be alive in that world for the vote to be counted. If you are dead in red you do not cast a red vote.
Death in one world will void the actions/votes of that player in the other worlds. In the event that it changes another death all actions/votes will be recalculated until an end point is reached. If no end point can be reached in a reasonable time all connected deaths will not happen.
Helgraf's Scry Interference will be in use.
Tie-Kat will be in use. if there is a tie in the votes for one world those up for lynch will run and hide in all worlds (no actions that night but votes will still count).
Auto-lynch happens on the third day of "non-votes"
Devils will start with their wolves.

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
An interesting idea. I'm eager to see how this plays out.
One thing, though, that might be an issue. There'd be a rule that if a player is dead in one world, he shouldn't interfere in that world. So to avoid dead players in one world, but still alive in others from being a network point.

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
Confirm: each person is given 3 roles, but they can be any combination. So each is entirely independent of eachother, but not connected in anything other than voting. Then, at death, the other worlds actions are voided (if they are still alive). Once dead in a world, no voting, but the other world actions continue unhindered.
Question: How does one "flee" into another world? Do they port their characters over and continue on in the same role, a cognate role, or do they come back to the original world after a time? Would voting/actions be in the original world, or is there no way to affect that? Do they return ever? How, exactly, does that work?
Question: When would it start?
EDIT: To clarify -- want to join. :)Last edited by Kalrany; 2013-11-26 at 12:24 PM.
78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin. The players were attacked individually on the road on the way to town by werewolves. To survive, they had to team up then and there without knowing anything about eachother (literally -- all character sheets were completed without other players' knowledge).

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
Yes, that would have to be put in place, and any QT made will be remade if one of the players die.
The wolds are their own. If you wish to color code them you may do so just be sure the vote stands out, perhaps by prefacing it with /VOTE/
Yes, exactly as you say.
The worlds are not physically connected in this setting. The bodies of the player will be hiding in the world they belong to (Red to Red etc.).
Two weeks most likely, so the ninth of December, likely near the end of the day PST.
It is just for the phase that they die, death at night voids actions death to lynch voids votes.

Only in so much as making one feel weak when their counterpart dies in another world (a.k.a the voids).

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
Another one, do the powers affect all worlds? I mean, do the green seer learn about the target's green role or all three? And if the green and red seer target the same player, is interference going to happen?
Also, why purple? Why not Blue (so it'd be RGB)?

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
In.
It's actually a lot less complex than it seems given the small amount of interaction between worlds. The main difference from just playing 3 classics is the possibility of defending someone in one world by attacking someone who's voting for them in that world in another world. I wouldn't think that'd happen too much though as it's not exactly hard to find it as a possible wolf tell in a situation where it'd actually matter.Being a mime means never having to say you're sorry.

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
Forgot about that, The scry is only for one target in one world, the scry can be cross worlds. Interference would happen regardless of world if the same player is picked. This should be added to the seer/devil roles list shortly. Also of note is the change that was forgot to the baner, their protection is cross world as well as going into the next day (kill/vote bane).
Edit: Also the wolves most choose who of them will go out on the hunt this can not be cross world.
Purple seemed a more fun color, it could be changed if people want.
Yes, it is a lot less complex from its original thought as well. This is more of a test run for the framework.Last edited by usourselves&we; 2013-11-26 at 02:38 PM.

I think I'm still going to be a bit confused. But, well, it's werewolf. If you aren't confused, you aren't paying attention.

Re: Parallel: Thoughts of Wolves
Having the third world be blue will help make my characters' speech color distinct from the voting color and the speech color of the other worlds.
"Red world gets orange text"
"Green world gets olive text."
"Blue world gets purple text."
Or something along those lines; I'll figure it out by the time the game starts. Anyway, in.Last edited by BourgeoisJerry; 2013-11-26 at 04:31 PM.
