Default Clash of Arms - Diplomacy All-Stars

    Clash of Arms

The year is 1901. The great powers of Europe are stirring, driven by the twin engines of nationalism and industrialization. For the first time since the era of Napoleon and the Congress of Vienna that was intended to protect against another, armies are mobilizing across the Continent. With the United States occupied by dreams of Empire in Latin America, and with Asia and Africa carved up by colonialism, the nation that can gain dominance in Europe will also have dominance of the entire world. The dawn of the 20th Century has seen the old balance of power in Europe crumbling, leaving the door open for a leader strong and crafty enough to reshape it to suit his and his nation's ambitions.

    Spring 1901 Map

    Country Assignments:

    1. England: Maldiem
    2. France: Vexen
    3. German Empire: thewamp
    4. Italy: Mael
    5. Austria-Hungary: elektro
    6. Russia: mdsoze
    7. Turkey/Ottoman Empire: Moody_the_Wise

Turn Schedule will be as follows:

One season per week, due on Friday at 2400 MST (GMT-7)

I will act as player and GM, opening the orders after all are received at the deadline has passed. I prefer diplomatic contact via PM or AIM (elektrotek85).

Please send orders via PM as I can keep them hidden until the deadline!

Please post below to indicate you are ready and willing. Good luck!

It says signature, but when I tried to sign my name, I just got pen on my computer screen.

    and who let elektro in?

Well, as France you're in a much better position to not meet an untimely end. Heh, hopefully your end will be very timely ... and possibly at my hand. If I'm around long enough to beat up on France, I'll consider that a success.

If Turkey is around long enough to beat up on France, You've pretty much succeeded, or are close to it. Besides, you already eliminated me when i was england shouldn't you give someone else a chance?

Has everyone chimed in to say they are here? I am beginning negotiations. I don't see a shout out from Mael. I would think he would be looking forward to a rematch of All the Kings Men. I don't plan on missing out on my first build this time.

We are waiting on Mael. Based on my PM box, everyone has started diplomacy already which is good. If Mael shows up soon, we'll go for a Friday or Monday deadline for S1901 orders.

just rub it in why don't you. Anyway, at least I can pretend that I would have bested you in A Great War. (the one nice thing about abandoned games is you can always pretend that they end in your favor)

I look forward to the fact that in all my games as France I have only once had reason to commune with Turkey.

For the Record regardless of who it was who took my last SC.
I Give MdSoze credit for the death of Austria in art of war
I give Melchezidic credit for the death of Turkey in Chaos of War
So you really only get the second kill in Art of War . . . with eliminating England.

    Wow, I lose a lot ... I didn't think I was this bad.

Vexen, my old friend, what are you smoking? It was the Russian military machine that was behind the Balkan campaign there, and I was the one to take both Budapest and Vienna ... at the very least, credit should be given equally to me and mdsoze.

Anyway, it won't matter, because I'll be adding another Vexen-kill in this game.

Where's the love? If I hadn't stabbed you immediately after agreeing to work with you (effectively handing the game to Moody), we'd still be holding the line against the R/T. OK, in retrospect maybe not the smartest move, but still, credit where credit is due! I took HOL, LVP, and LON in like one season!

Disclaimer to all future allies - in no way am I celebrating the stab of a trusted friend. I was clearly suffering temporary insanity at the time, and would never do such a thing to YOU should we ever be allied. I love you.

ok, I'm only after reading my PM's and finding out about this game now. So, while I'm definatly in, I'd prefer not to start tomorrow. Need to talk to people a bit first.

And Vexen, I'm perfectly fine with the way AtKM ended. No need for a rematch.

Edit: also, since I only got 2 hours sleep last night and need to be up at 5.30 tomorrow, I won't be sending out any diplomacy tonight. Hopefully I'll get a chance during work tomorrow, if not I'll talk to ye over the weekend.

Okay, we're all checked in. Mael just replied in time to make it. Nef, thanks for stepping up and see you in the next game (which will probably start once this one reaches 1904 or so). Remember to send me orders via PM. I will send two randomly selected players my orders via PM each season as the deadline expires so that I am fully transparent.

hey, I guess it really doesn't matter. But you didn't post Germany's builds.

    French Bulletin

German troops move incognito - it appears that the germans have truly mastered the art of moving their troops without warning others.

France Doubles its Forces - when asked about recent military success French President Vexen was dumbfounded . . . we have heard before that France can't really win a war, others just loose. It seems very apt to believe that French sucess is a result of others blunders.
