Is it wrong that I find this icky? Like, not pre-surgery trans people, but the idea of somebody's genitals being a turn off? I mean, if I'm attracted to somebody I do like to know what they have (cue awkward attempt to work out of they're okay with me asking without asking if they're okay with me asking), but I'm not going to be turned off of I find that a potential boyfriend has inwards man parts.

Although I'm also that person who'll day that trans people have the genitals if their gender even before surgery. Because I don't see why steeples have to be male and valleys have to be female. Sure, they're commonly owned by such people, but it's not really an exclusive relationship.

This is the correct behavior to have.

Someone's gender is not the same as "dyed hair" or "a piercing" and anyone who tells you that fails to understand trans people in general.

To put it bluntly, if you're dating someone who is trans but pre-surgery (or doesn't want to do surgery for personal/medical reasons), it IS discriminatory to cut them off because "well they haven't had surgery yet, I can't **** them". Whether it comes off as bigoted or not depends on how much of an ass you are when you bring up that it's a deal breaker for you. But really, like Anon Wizard up there (again, CORRECTLY) says... if you love them why does it matter? If they mean anything to you at all, you'll learn to get past your issues. And if you don't... well, you don't have to have sex every date, you insatiable horn dog. This continues to be a you problem, hypothetical person who would date a trans person.

I meant more that camping alone would probably be a good way to enjoy yourself while also being away from everything that could get you to hit on someone.

(Come to think of it, it really has been ages since I went camping. Ever since our family had a bit of a falling-out with the family that we always went with, back in, like... middle school.)
