She quickly gets up, still not looking directly at him. "Don't be. It was forever ago. Just for some reason I can't sleep for very long, no big deal." She didn't like talking about things that made her sound soft, especially not in front of him.

Jenny sighs again, and puts Hitomi's tape back in her bag. She would deal with it tomorrow. She slowly starts to fall asleep.

Nick seems to sense this a bit, and as such, tries to lighten the mood,
Well, if I have to make a sacrifice to help....
He winks, hoping she catches his meaning.

She catches the meaning and throws an apple at him. But she is smiling when she does.

Nick snatches the apple out of the air, and grins at her,

Which only forces her to smile more, even though she's trying to stop it. "Yeah? And what are you going to do about it?"

He teases, and winks at her as he takes a bite out of the apple in his hand.

"You do what you want anyway. So why would it matter what I want?" She keeps trying not to smile.

Nick steps close to her and gives her a hug. He then turns, smiling, and heads out to the hall.

She can still catch him if she wishes.

He'll notice that she didn't return the hug, but he would hear her heart racing. She walks out after him. "What the hell was that?" She sounds mad but is trying to hold back her smile. She'd never admit it, but she kinda liked it.

It's called a hug.
Nick looks over at her, then turns and looks into the TV room. He smiles, seeing his mother, and his younger self, asleep on the couch.

"I know that! I meant why did you do tha- She stops when she follows his gaze to his younger self and mom. Her posture softens slightly.

[Kyrian]

He shrugs,
Consider it pre-emptive thanks. For all the training you've given me.

She slowly nods. "Yeah, well warn me next time or something..."

Alright, well, I think I'm going to go get some sleep. G'night Keira.

The panda floats gently about the kitchen, mewling faintly as it glides.

The panda shrugs, and flies toward Tempest, seemingly about to say something, before a huge shout bursts as if from nowhere.

Where Is She?! Yells a voice, as light starts to build-up near Tempest.

Tempest dashes away from the light and casts Detect Magic. Who are you? Also, who are you looking for?
