[Nexus] GLoG LXIII: Roman Numerals are back!

((Redeeming. Let's see Neutral now. Moving toward evil. I hope not or else they're doing a bad job.))

"Redeeming?" Serena asks. She doesn't know much about GLoG. "No I just needed a place to stay and I was told this would be the place to come. I got here yesterday."

[Rae Artemi]

Oh, and Serena has a kitten following her, because Trilby's bored. He's staying quiet for now, though.

[Shadowcaller]

"Yeah, this place is pretty sweet, they hand out free gifts and let you stay here as long as you want without needing to pay. It's a bit too good to be true really, but I got no place else to go." She pauses, looking at Serena doubtfully, would it be such a good idea to start a conversation with this woman?

"So your homeless too then?" Nancy asks, keeping her distance from Serena. Wasn't she forgetting something thought? Oh right. "Uh, I'm Nancy by the way." She doesn't offer her hand, still suspicious of this obviously not human woman.

[Gullara]

It's not that obvious. Her fangs are quite small.

"Yeah, pretty much. I can't go back to where I was, and I've got nowhere else to go." Serena responds.

She extends he hand. "Nice to meet you."

Don't worry the corruption won't effect Nancy with such brief contact.

[Shadowcaller]

((Corruption?))

Nancy extends her hand and shakes Serena's, still having a bad feeling about this. "The same." She just replies, not wanting to mimic or make up her own pleasantries, she wasn't very good at that.

She looks at Serena a bit, deciding that more conversation couldn't really hurt. "So whats your story? How did you end up at a place like this?"

[Gullara]

((Well Serena has been tainted by a corruption that makes it near impossible for her to resist her vices. So drinking, eating, sex, fighting, anything the corrupted person enjoys. Because of the extent of the corruption Serena has been exposed to she will spread it through physical contact. Small amounts of contact will make the person slightly more likely to indulge, prolonged contact will infect them to the same level as Serena, and anywhere in between.))

"I just had to get away from my life. I felt so trapped." She says.

"Tell me about it, I have ran away twice in my life." Nancy replies, seeing that they got some more things in common. "Doesn't often help thought, the past always comes back to bite you in the ass, no matter how far you run." There is a hint of a sight there. She then looks curiously at Serena and peers a bit closer (thought isn't hold her hand anymore) "So tell, me, what did a girl like you ran from?"

[Gullara]

Serena shrugs, she's the live in the moment type, at least now she is.

"My family. My brother and dad," and husband and daughter, "I was just getting held back by them."

[Shadowcaller]

"Ah, thats something I can't say I'm familiar with, never really had any family at all. Sounds like it can suck though." She doesn't really mean that, but her thoughts about who her real family could have been should be left untouched for now.

Nancy looks around a bit, not noticing the kitten following Serena. "Uh, so what are you exactly?" She asks, feeling like this discussion is starting to die already, Nancy wasn't the most social of persons so subjects to talk about kind of ran out quite quickly for her.
It doesn't come to her that she might come off as a bit offending.

[Gullara]

Serena taps a fang, "Vampire. Don't worry I'm not hungry now." she winks at Nancy.

That's odd, what's that black line. Oh, it's opening. Yeah, total blackness, that's ominous. Oh, wait, it's just Crae, getting shot out of the void and slamming against the wall.

Bloody Hell. That Hurt More Than I Remember.

Oh, and he's bleeding from a whole bunch of gunshot wounds in his chest and stomach, that may be important too.

Serena taps a fang, "Vampire. Don't worry I'm not hungry now." she winks at Nancy.

Nancy blinks, looking a bit shocked as Serena winks at her. "Oh, wow, a vampire?" She asks stupidly, didn't she hear the first time? "Eh, I never meet a vampire before." She admits, a bit nervously. "What do you do exactly? Beside sucking blood and all..."

Serena shrugs, "Avoid the sun and have a good time." The old Serena might have tried to put Nancy at ease. The new Serena is enjoying watching her squirm.

Cat-Man Chezchire walks into the infirmary, looking for someone something to eat. Then he spots Crae, and begins grinning, nastily.

Why, hello, my most annoying mortal foe.
You look sick.
Got a flu? Caught a virus? Feeling low?

Who The Hell Are You? Rae's Dead, I'm Pissed, It Would Probably Be Best If You Left Me Alone.

Crae says to Chezschire, obviously annoyed. He looks down at himself. He doesn't seem to be healing very quickly, huh, that's odd.

[Ranger Mattos]

Mathias stepped into the cabin labeled "Hickory" and walked to room C, the room he'd selected. After taking off his backpack and laying down his bags, he laid out his things: namely, his tools, a soft mat on the floor, and a small collection of books on his shelf.

After arranging all the possessions he had brought, Mathias walked outside the cabin. He'd already walked around the lake, meadows, and forests, and seen the island, but this was the first time he'd really taken the time to look. He breathed in the fresh air, wondering what to do now that he was here.

Quinn, having been alerted by the sound of something slamming against the Infirmary wall, rushes outside, her sword drawn!

[Infirmary]

Hey, Quinn, I'm In Here.

Crae says, standing next to one of the infirmary beds. He waves, blood on his hand from one of the... I believe there are three bullet wounds. Yeah, there were three.

As he stands outside, Mathias hears a loud slamming sound, and sees a woman rushing towards a building a couple hundred feet away from Hickory cabin. He runs to follow her, fearing that there might be trouble within 15 minutes of his arrival.

Just outside the main cabin Garth is practicing with his shiny new sword it got for Thanksmas.

Quinn hustles back inside!

"Alright, who are you, how'd you get here, how do you know who I am, and get on that medbed stat," Quinn orders in quick order, pulling on gloves and getting ready to do that healing voodoo that she does.

[Rae Artemi]

Well, Crae looks almost exactly like Rae, but with wings and shorter hair, Quinn might have been able to sort of recognize him.

He says, getting on the medbed.

Infirmary

Prae is reading in front of the infirmary, relaxed and seemingly in a good mood.

Also, the anonymous baby in that crib is no longer there.

Mathias walks in about 30 seconds after Quinn. "Something going on here," he asks those inside.

[Infirmary]

"...send in the clones," Quinn mutters, setting to work on the surgery. And the healing. And the Laying On Hands. She's a paladin, after all.

She doesn't look back at Mattios. "Yes, I have an injured paitent here with gunshot wounds," she says, in her best Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman voice, which isn't as scary as Nurse Piper's Voice.

Quinn will find that all of the wounds go straight through, and the one in his chest just barely missed his heart and one of his lungs. The healing will probably work, along with everything else.

Oh, Believe Me, You Wouldn't Want To see The Other Clone.

Crae says in response to her muttering.

"I'm sure." Quinn says, bandadging and binding the wounds.

Oh, And The Original Is Dead, By The Way. Thought You Might Want To Know About Losing A Member.

Crae says, seemingly offhand. Though he does tense as he says it. When she's finished with the bandages, he'll ask.

So, Is That It?

"Who and how?" Quinn asks, her tone cold, as she steps back. "And, all done, yes."

[Ranger Mattos]

[Infirmary]

Mathias tries to stay out of the Quinn's way, and sighs when he overhears that one of the members of his new organization has been killed. I've been here for 20 minutes and one of the first things I've heard about is a death, he thinks.
