Awesome, I'll have to look that up then. Also didn't know that Flushed Away was an Aardman production, which instantly recommends it to me.

(Incidentally, the Shaun the Sheep movie is pretty spiffy - saw that last week).

Well they are using heartfelt honesty at the moment, so the hairstyle critique is still possible.

It is Menage a 3, and the current top comic is just as gratuitous

Gratuitousness is what Ma3 does. That's it's charm.

Though technically, none of it is gratuitous, because all of it is exactly what the comic is supposed to be doing.

One of the things I like about this comic is how average everyone looks. Im reading this superhero comic called Grrl Power and literally 90% of the characters are supers with (intentionally) idealized perfect bodies. Everyone has a six pack, every girl has a massive bouncy rack, etc etc etc.

My current best guess is that the supers in Grrl Power are projections of the collective unconscious of the world's adolescents. It's not the powers or even the perfect racks that convince me, it's the lack of body hair. And the writer is perfectly capable of throwing in a twist like that.

I wouldnt be surprised. He has already established that science cant explain powers or where they come from yet. I think a south park style alien reality show was bandied about as a possible explanation for their abilities. But still, the point being, everyone but a small handful of the characters, male and female look as idealized perfect as is possible to quantify. If you went family feud style and asked 100 people what they thought the perfect male/female body looked like, the characters would be a composite of the top 5 answers on the board.

Okay, more posting to finally mark this thread than to contribute at this point (still) but... can you really write a successful love song without knowing anything about it? I mean, I guess you can just copy some other successful thing but... Sven is human, right, so he probably was in love at some point in the past?

He's not writing love songs, he's writing COUNTRY love songs. The sample of the titles he came up with was horrifying enough. I seem to recall it was stuff like "You may have betrayed me, but my Chevy will never leave me" and tripe like that. Knowing anything about love would probably hurt his writing process.

Many never make a cent, but often enough one hits a niche that isn't covered enough and makes a few hundred dollars. Then you milk that fetish or situation to death and move on.

Cracked.com by any chance? I remember that. They get sold online for cheap and even if they only sell a couple hundred copies a month he is still making a decent wage. The more books you churn out, the more chances you have to pay your bills that month. Biggest problem is trying to avoid the ban hammer for them deciding your books are porn, which isnt allowed for whatever reason.

Eh, I guess May's anatomy really has nothing special about it... though, it seems like a likely next addition. Also: I can't get over how adorable Gordon is. How can people be scared of him?!
