Default The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0261 - #0270)

Welcome to The Stick Awards II: Second Edition!

The Stick Awards are handed out to the best strips of all time as chosen by our fellow Playgrounders.

This week we are covering the comic strips 261 through 270.

For full details about the Stick Awards, please check out the main thread here.

To read more about the original Stick Awards, created by Nazzo, the 102nd, please read his thread here.

To vote in this thread, simply state which comic of the ten listed is your favorite. Bolding the number of the comic (Like this) helps it stand out.

Voting for this week will close on December 23rd, 4pm EST. Any votes made after that will NOT count toward the totals.

Last week, 255 Meep meep! devised a plan so brilliant, so cunning, and so complicated that only a Super Genius could have come up with it. In so doing it claimed the award for its own.

Who will win this week? We only get to find out once you tell us.

'tis the season to spread good tidings and holiday cheer. So lets all sing a song and raise a toast to which ever strip deserves to win....

#267: The Cat Behind the Throne - It was either 266 or this one. 266 had a funnier punchline, but 267 added more to the story and was funnier overall.

Dang, quite a few of these are good contenders, 264 and 270 sticking out, but in the end, Haley/Elan wins the day for me with 262.

Argh, it's too hard to choose.
A golden Belkar, an hilarious Durkon, the power of love, or Mr Scruffy?

Well, i suppose that, if I vote for Scruffy, Belkar is somewhat related, so 267

Absolutely swamped right now. And I figure there's not many people online over the holidays anyways. So I'm giving a 72 hour extension for voting.

Mostly because I'm really not going to have the time/inclination till the 26th anyway.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone.

Well, better late than never, as they say. And, I think a little grace period during the holidays isn't the worst thing in the world. So all all that's left is for me to record my vote and bring this one to a close. Ordinarily, I'd go for 264, I think. But I'm not about to create a tie when the award is already running late. And second best is still pretty best in my book in this occasion. So 262, it is.

    And with that....

    VOTING IS NOW CLOSED!

270 Dueling Egos is the winner this week. It now moves on to the Best of the Hundred tournament.
