Map? Buff Rounds 3 and all days?

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 09:50 PM
Not Picky on the map, but how about we keep buffs to all days only?

If it's absolutely necessary, I can go with 1 buff round.

I'd prefer to have the 1 round if it's okay

I'll take bottom I guess

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 10:25 PM
Starting Location: K2

1st Turn: Move: K2 to K14. Activate Tattoo of expansion, Expand to cover: J14-L16.

If my opponent enters LoE and does anything at all, I intend to negate Freedom of Movement and similar effects.

That should cover it. Your turn.

EDIT: For reference, My current sight method is Touchsight, and can extend to any square I currently have LOS to.

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-08, 10:33 PM
I have nothing of note currently besides True Seeing

Cast True Seeing, Invisible Arcane Fusion (Karmic Aura and Spiderskin) [roll0]

Your turn

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 10:42 PM
My Turn: Move to J20-L22 (squeezing where necessary).
Ready Action: Attack if my opponent enters LoE and then attempts to do anything, including end movement.

If my opponent enters LoE, I intend to negate Freedom of Movement and similar effects.

Done. As before, I have Touchsight active on all squares I can see.

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 10:50 PM
Very Well. Current location is: J20-L22.

Moving: E20-G22, then to E24-G26.

I should now Have LOS to your entire starting area. Not done, awaiting any sighting information.

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-08, 10:52 PM
You see 8 a Cloaked Kobolds, each wielding a staff covered with intricate runes.

Nevermind touchsight negates that...

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 10:57 PM
Where do I see that Kobold?

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-08, 11:01 PM
Sorry forgot about that, I25...

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 11:14 PM
Ok then, excellent.

First, you're aware that you cannot cast defensively within my threatened area, which you are in.

Immediate action (taken on my turn, counts as my swift action for this turn):
Suppress Freedom of Movement and all similar effects on you for [roll0] rounds (unless the effect is Extraordinary or Natural). There is no save to this effect, and SR does not apply.

Standard Action: Attack: [roll1]
If Hit: [roll2]
If Threat: [roll3]
If Crit: [roll4]

This attack ignores all magical miss chances, and the first 20% of nonmagical miss chance. If it hits, you'll need to make the following saves:

Reflex DC 28 or be Slowed for 1 round.
Fort DC 23 or be Slowed for 3 rounds.

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-08, 11:20 PM
My saves Reflex Save [roll0] Fort [roll1]

It hits and you need to make a save

Will Save DC21 or become fatigued for 3 rounds

My turn?

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 11:30 PM
Will: [roll0] +5 more if this is from a Spell.

EDIT: Fatigued. Your turn.

lvl 1 sharnian

Attenpting to tumble untrained [roll0] away to J24

Casting Karmic Retribution

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 11:47 PM
Tumble may not be used untrained. It is a trained only.

Regardless, thicket of blades makes all movement provoke.

Touch Attack: (ignores all miss chances noted above)
If hit, opposed grapple: [roll] 1d20+29
If grapple: [roll1] damage

You are considered 3 sizes smaller for this check. Assuming you were small, that means you're considered Fine, which is a -16 penalty to the grapple roll.

In addition, I'll need another DC 23 Fort Save or Slow.

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 11:49 PM
Fixed Grapple Roll: [roll0]

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-08, 11:50 PM
Fort [roll0]

There's no way I can oppose that grapple or do anything... I guess I lose

In hindsight, I never noticed how buff-intensive this build is, thank god for All-days. This is the only sorcerer I've had that might of run out of spell slots

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-08, 11:54 PM
From here, the goal with me is to full round attack in grapple, and use immediates to keep your FoM off.

I like the spell choice though... It seems you took it a bit defensive, though. Casters generally benefit from swift offense.

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-09, 12:01 AM
Yeah, being buff-intensive is generally a build weakness. The more effects you can make all-day/permanent, the better you'll be.

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-09, 12:06 AM
Actually it could have been if I chose my buffs better such as Dimension Jumper, teleport 30ft as move action for 1round/lvl. I just didn't have to get the buffs I needed such as the Karmic line combined with Indomitability, which would have been devastating. I guess I prefer Damage over Time spells better than straight offense.

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-09, 12:13 AM
Main issue with Dim Jumper?

I have 70 feet of reach.

lvl 1 sharnian
2009-11-09, 12:23 AM
...insane. Can it go around corners?

PhoenixRivers
2009-11-09, 12:26 AM
Well, Cover does mitigate, and total cover would protect from most of my stuff.

But if you're slowed once, that's the nail in the coffin. Any escape you do is your only action for the round. And I have excellent movement to catch back up and attack.
