To all others: It is considered bad form to use an avatar without asking permission of the artist. Unless, of course, you have it specifically made for you. Please ask before you use any of the avatars in the portfolios of the artists unless it states in their requisites or on their portfolio site that you may use the avatar without asking permission.

If after you've posted your request to the request thread twice and there is no response, please PM one of the active artists below. (Do not repost your request until at least 48 hours after your original request, please.)

If you are PMing a request please do not PM multiple artists. They don't want to waste their time doing a favour for you if you've already got someone else doing the exact same thing.

A slight suggestion: to save loading time to make a post, please make a link to your picture after 3 days to make it easier on dial-up.

Can someone make me an avatar of an arrancar for BleachITP:Reborn?

If so, he wears a knee length white jacket with a hood. It has black trim around the arms and where it connects in front, he wears it open. Under that he has a white shirt with black trimming. He wears loose pants with black at the openings and a black belt. He has short black hair and wears a black scarf wrapped around his lower face up to just under his eyes. He also has a black katana in his belt and a silver pocket watch in his coat pocket.

Any attempts would be appreciated! If you could also put a black 7 behind of beside him, I'd appreciate it.

Sounds fine to me. Also, when you use mine, make sure you have it set to 120 pixels wide and 101 pixels tall, because it's a little stretched as you have it now.

Could someone make me a gnome mad scientist with a sort of wizardy lab coat with glowing runes on the edges, electric yellow eyes, static blue mad scientist hair, and mad scientist-esque glasses with crazy blue and green lenses and bronze frames? He's the same size and proportion as the Giant default GnomeWithAGun avatar. Creative license made me put little electrical bolts sparking around his hair. Plus, the runes didn't turn out too well. Being Mad Science, I went with mathematical symbols, but I draw the avatars pretty small to begin with and they are a bit tiny.

Ah well, live and learn. I hope you don't mind the comparatively boring goggles. I couldn't get my better ideas to work out right.

It is my new character concept for a Neverwinter Nights 2 roleplay server. He is a 17 year old 'Viking' bard/fighter who has two drums that are infused in to his armor. He plays them in battle with his scimitar and the inside of his shield.

Gender: Male
Equipment: Full plate with two drums smelted, scimitar, heavy OR tower shield
Features: The two drums smelted in to his armor in the stomach area and his long hair. He is also good-looking, 14-16 CHA.
Hair color: Light brownish to brown (not specific, whatever looks best)
Race: Viking human!
Class: Bard/Fighter
Pose: With heavy shield on back and scimitar in sheathe. Draw him without the cloak and instead have a sort of fighter's backpack with a shield vertical.

Here's a VERY rough drawing I made in about half an hour. *cowers* Don't judge me! Please draw him without the cloak and just have the shield on his back vertically.

Since I cannot think of a description for the pose I want him in OOC, here's an IC one. Think of this from the perspective of one of his more neophyte cultists as they meet him for the first time.

Alternatively, you could focus on rider + dragon neck+face. That'd be a small enough area to allow details without making the dragon too small and without hiding the character too much.

One Dragon riding Warblade coming up. As someone already mentioned fittin a large dragon in a 120x120 box doesn't really leave options open for any kind of details, especially not on the rider so I went with a cut-out instead, depicting just the rider sitting on the dragon's neck.

The staff where Malak's staff is would be spinning with magical fire lit on both ends creating a little bit of a light trail. In the other hand would be a second staff, also spinning, but with more (bigger?) fire, and casting a fire or lightning spell to the right. The fire on the main staff or on both staves could also be sparking a bit, hinting at lightning, if it doesn't look bad to do. And then he'd be looking up and right or up and unleashing fiery breath.

Equipment: A pair of staves. He casts through one primarily, while the other passively enhances both his casting and his defenses... So the staff in one hand would be more prominent than the staff in the other.

No hood or cape... I'm not sure what color his robe should be, so whatever you think is good. His robe is patterned with patches of Demonskin that he draws power from. (I'm thinking just a couple dark shapes. Maybe curved? Whatever looks good...)

Any other notable features: He's Good, but gives off a bit of an Evil vibe, since he pulls from both the Abyss and Nine Hells to augment his power. He's also typed as a Devil, though the physical difference isn't much. If you can make him give off a "uses evil for good" vibe, that'd be great, but I have no idea what that'd look like. He's also got high Cha and Str, if this helps determine his physical build at all.

EDIT: Trying to look up some source images, all I could find for someone wielding two staves at once are people who perform with fire (IRL). They light both ends of both staves, hold them by their middles, and spin them around fancily, creating a light show. This makes a lot of sense for my character, only with magical fire instead of normal fire, so this is what I'm imagining now, and I've edited the above to try to help with this.

You view it as art. I view it as source code (svg specifically). The original artist didn't give that source code, so the point is moot. And if the artist had given the source code, your intervention would have been irrelevant he would have (most probably) given the right to reuse it along with the source code.


As I see it, the avatarists are using a style defined by Oots. Turning various characters into proper Oots-characters requires to respect non-written rules on how to represent stuff in that context.

Thus, whatever source files are released by their creator should be used to ensure an homogenous result.

If Prinny was satisfied with the current representation of his avatar and wanted only to change the pose, the best way to get a homogenous result was to actually hack the original source file.


I am sorry you felt insulted, I am sure your intentions were pure, although you reacted a bit quickly (and inappropriately), hence name calling (but would you rather be called a thief or a white knight?).

In the end, Prinny got his avatar while Temotei221's intellectual property is still safe. Also, nice socks.:smallsmile:

First nothing and then there's two people offering to draw me an avatar! What am I gonna do? :smalleek:

I definitely like the details on the scimitar, tough, I realized the weapon was actually supposed to be more european (D&D rapier) like with a thinner blade, edge thing and a classical hand guard like the light one from the right (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Different_Rapiers.jpg).

The head should also be a bit smaller. The look and stance more open maybe facing the viewer and less "evilish". His hair could be a bit more civilized.

A more open pose would probably also help. It's hard to make out all the details of the scimitar like the hilt that is also black (it doesn't quite look like he is holding the scimitar in his hands) and impossible to see what is behind it. Holding it at his side right of left of him would probably fix that.
Then it would be also possible to add more details to the torso part, the shirt and the coat (shoulderpads would be awesome, but I am not sure if that works out).

It would be also great if the boots would be "higher", less mid top than actually having a knee-ish height.

Flashier, lighter colors would probably also help to differentiate the different parts of the avatar by another. A more redd-ish red and a more light-ish blue. And even lighter skin...

Darn it... there is the second avatar! While I am posting and it's also good. What I wrote before can also apply on the second avatar... though the scimitar looks rather like what I originally had in mind except for the guard.

I liked the turned up collar of OdinsWatcher (more badass) better, but the buttons are great... The avatar looks a bit fat too wide though...

First off, great job! I really like it:smallsmile: Secondly, it is a tad odd, I used Whale as a comic relief character in some old writings i did forever ago, he'd always be there somewhere.
Like all good works of art, there are people who think it could be done differently, and um... well, Man I hate asking for people to re-try something they did, i feel like poo.
If it wouldn't be too terribly hard, could you change Whale's underbelly to a light gray or perrywinkle kind of purple/blue? Kind of like this?

Aside from that, the only and only last thing... maybe you could forgo the galaxy in place of a small moon with some rings? But like I said, great job! Thanks again :smallsmile:

That looks awesome! The only thing I can suggest is maybe changing the wing color to be a bit darker, or the magic in his hand brighter, so that the magic stands out a bit more, but if that's too much trouble, this will work wonderfully! Thanks so much!

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get a few of my nexus characters done.
The first is Lann Conall, who has very short but ragged blonde hair (think cut with a knife), a longspear, a round wooden shield, a white undershirt, baggy green pants, and wears leather armor like the celt in deadliest warrior. He also has a fur kilt/bottom half of a robe type thing and a shortsword hanging from his belt. I was thinking sort of an excited and dramatic pose for him, pointing his spear at something, grinning wildly, and waving his shield arm in the air.

The second is Gavyn the Goshawk, a piratey fellow with a scar down the right side of his face (he's sort of fair skinned, though, so it's not readily apparent), a tattered and messy white baggy-pirate-shirt-'blouse'-tunic-whatever tucked into his brown trousers, which are tucked into his knee-high black boots with chainmail rimming the top. He wears either a thick leather vest or a chain shirt, and a murky brown bandanna wrapped in black oil clothes that have gold beads strung onto them. Sometimes he wears a tricorner hat made of similair materials, though it has a red sash across the bottom, a large red feather in the top, and a mutltude of shiny badges and coins stuck to it. He has a light tan side pouch (think really small laptop bag) that he hangs from his shoulder or clips to his belt. He has a rapier/cutlass and either a parrying dagger or a flintlock. I was thinking a more relaxed pose for him, maybe with his rapier/cutlass stuck tip first in the ground and leaning back on something with a mug of rum or vodka. Oh, and he has orange hair with a reddish, coppery overtone to it. The hair is thick and shaggy, but patted down.

Oh, and Lann and Gavyn both have dark brown eyes.

And if anyone's feeling REALLY generous, try Nyorg! He's a baby fiendish owlbear with gray and muddy red feathers, shiny yellow eyes, a loincloth, and small black horns coming out a little above his eyes and curving backwards.

Also has a bracelet with a cross "charm" on it (it's a big charm), though that is optional as the detail is likely difficult to make visible.

Notable Features: Glasses.

His posture is proper, and he has something around him that speaks of his power to manipulate dreams.

I'd like to make a request for a character in probably the longest lasting campaign I've yet played on these forums.

Here is the description:

Karibbi'dingi is a hulk of a darfellan (http://adrenalinarpg.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/darfellan-racial-illustration-by-joel-thomas.jpg), standing well over six and a half feet and wide for even his height. He almost appears overweight, with a great barrel chest, until one sees the muscles that ripple beneath his sleek hide. Interestingly enough he is completely white-skinned. Not pale, but a pearly hue that reflects the light. The only color are his two large black eyes, and a single black dot in the middle of his forehead, hardly more than a freckle. These eyes appear alive and watchful, though very gentle. His mouth is very large and thick-lipped, with sharp, tearing teeth within. His enormous webbed feet , so large as to be almost fins, are unclod and clumsy looking.

He is an imposing figure, dressed only in a short kilt of dark-grey leather with a chest sheath holding a large, thrusting knife. He is often seen leaning on a large harpoon, gazing into the distance thoughtfully.

If at all possible I'd also like to have like an aurora or nebula behind him in some manner.


Be much appreciated if anyone makes the effort.

Steely grey ring on left hand, glowing solid jade ring on right

Breastplate with suggestion of hieroglyphics etched into it

Stakes lined up inside trenchcoat

Faintly glowing silvered katana in right hand, with what looks like Egyptian/Mulhorandi glyphs forming a short motto down the blade (In case you want to know, it translates as "In Ulthar, no man may kill a cat, and woe to any who tries")

Avatar's skin is a light golden tan color.

Avatar's eyes are a fluorescent jade green.

Avatar's hair is black and spiky.

Avatar is either smoking a cigar, or holding a lit cigar in his left hand.

Avatar's expression is grim, like that of the generic AssassinGuy avatar I currently use.

Pose is that of a hero in a Frank Frazetta painting. Ideally, same pose as Ash on the poster for the movie Army of Darkness.

I have a vague idea for what I'd like to use as an avatar, but it's massively beyond my drawing/inkscaping/GIMPing skills. Would someone be willing to give it a stab for me?

Description (I don't have a reference pic, sorry):


Female half-elf sorceress/favoured soul.

Hair: Fairly dull brown, shoulder-length or slightly longer. A little messed up, but not ridiculously so.

Skin Tone: Slightly pale, but visibly alive.

Clothes: A relatively short white skirt (ending slightly below the knee, with slits extending up to the waist), and a pair of black pants (to avoid the problems inherent in wearing a skirt while flying).

An undyed sarashi, worn over a black top (sleeveless and strapless). Upper arms and shoulders bare.

Shoes: No real preference, but should go with the rest of her outfit.

Accessories: Forearms and hands covered in winding strips of cloth. A headband, and a belt.

Equipment: Carries a glaive, which appears to be woven from shadows.

Preferred poses: Either standing or hovering slightly off the ground. Holding the glaive in one hand, while casting using the other (likely to be a positive energy or force evocation, possibly a Wings of X spell).


I've tried to provide a lot of detail, so you can pick and choose what to include. I don't mind if the end result isn't strict OotS style.

My concern is that "woven of shadows" is a bit too hard, even for Erf Style Avvies, because for it to be visible, you'll need a bigger picture (bigger than the 120 x 120 frame, anyway.)

Well, you could always blur the glyphs on the sword and the armor down to a suggestion (I believe it's called "greeking", and ignore the inlays on the crown. The other stuff I'm pretty sure would still fit the frame, if it was scaled down. I merely put as much detail in as I could to give an idea of what kind of character this is supposed to look like.

Or, wait a minute? Isn't there a way to make this at (for instance) quadruple the dimensions, so as to add more detail, and then scale it back from 240 x 240 to 120 x 120? I'm asking because I've seen some pretty detailed-looking OoTS avvies on here. For instance, the detail on that one Zefir made a few posts above where I came on here.

Then again, something like an Erf-style avatar could work. I believe something with the detail of the one that Moon Called has (the dude with the hat, cigarette, and gun, even further up the page), only scaled down would work well.

My old venerable avatar is now exploding due to the avatar changes.

In case it wasn't clear, it's nothing more than a simple ballista. (Yes, I'm aware my username is "balista" with a single L. That was because someone in some game at some point in time had taken "ballistafreak", and, eschewing the number system of adding a number, I purposefully mispelled ballista. The name stuck with me.)

If it could be drawn OOTS style (lines, color, and composition wise), perhaps "magitek'd" up with glowing crystals and ammuntion for style, that would be great.

Well, the glaive doesn't even have to be there -- I put that down because I felt it might look cool, but it's not really obligatory. She could always just be unarmed and casting a spell.

The basic themes as far as the costume goes are 'winding strips of cloth', and 'layered white on black'. As long as those are evident, I'm not particularly concerned.

There also needs to be a splash of colour somewhere in the costume, but I don't mind where as long as it looks good.

Fitting the glaive in is no problem. It's making it look good that would be tricky. While I'm at it, a cigar should certainly be doable (although that person should consider cutting out some things that really won't work in a 120x120 avi, such as the ring, just to make the description less daunting).

Sorry to be a pain, but would you mind changing it so that the sarashi covers less of her midriff as well?

In my mental picture of the character, it completely obscures the neckline of the top, but doesn't extend that far down.

Serpentine, if you'd be so kind, when you're done with lesser minion's avatar, I'd love if you could see what you can do with the avatar I'm requesting. I think you'd be able to make it look pretty badass...

You don't have to put in the rings, or the crown inlays (though they would be wicked to see), and the glyphs on the sword and armor can be just suggested by greeked text (especially the armor, 'cos they're kind of small, and I wouldn't expect them to be readable at that scale anyway).

Seeing the detail you have on both the avatar you use and the one you're making for lesser minion has me convinced you'd make it look good.

I'd forever be in the debt of you or whoever manages to draw my guy up.
