It had only been a couple of weeks into your freshmen year, but already you knew who your friends would be. You know what classes you would likely take in the coming years. You knew where your classes were, and didn't get lost anymore.

Much.

None would shake up your reigns as the rulers of the school in the coming years.

Except for her. There were a few rumors. About how some new transfer student was on the student list, they always came from the teacher's pets. The ones in government and that helped out the secretaries during lunch.

None of the rumors mentioned how.... beautiful, this rather shy blonde was.

As your teacher Mrs.Weil, a strict tall lady, was unusually gentle in how you were to all to be on your best behaviors.

There was no need for her to worry, as the girl's voice came out. There seemed to be little passion or emotion in it, but.... it was still more then enchanting enough to sweep you off your feet.

My... name is Ophelia Dawn. She said a half gesture that was meant to indicate herself, but only highlighted how buxom she was. It is an.... enjoyment to meet you. She adds.

Mrs.Weil turns to her. "Sit where you want dear, where'd you be most comfortable. They haven't been in their seats long. They can move." She offers.

How are you going to convince this Ophelia to sit next to you.

Allure. Look as charmingly sweet as you can, appeal to Ophelia's still present libido. +2 VP with Ophelia.

Skill. Present a logical argument for why your neighbor should move to the front. +2 VP with Ophelia.

Conflict. Intimidate a person into moving to the front row. +2 VP with Ophelia.

Luck. Huh. The seat next to you just happened to be empty. +2 VP with Ophelia.

Up to 2 people can win, on a tie. High rolls, may allow access to bonus fluff.

Samantha kept a warm, welcoming smile on her face as the new girl entered; her breath caught in her throat for a moment as she beheld Ophelia's beauty, before she managed to get a hold of herself. At Ms Weil's announcement, Samantha cast a quick glance around the room, noticing a shortage of empty seats. Her concern for the girl rose when she saw that a deceptively welcome seat sat at the front of the class...right next to the delinquent Tony Rider. Thinking quickly, Samantha glanced to her left, where Michael Winston was sitting; the tall, well-built jock attended the same church Samantha and her family did, and she knew him to be quite a gentlemen when a lady was involved...especially when they were in danger from a thug like Tony. Tony, of course, would likely still mess with Michael, but it'd be more contained; Mike himself might not respond to his foolish antics, but his team would pay Tony back if he went too far.

As usual, the boy had barely bothered unpacking his books, but his less-than-ideal focus on academics was to her advantage today...assuming he was paying enough attention to volunteer himself in her place. Catching the teacher's eye, Samantha spoke up: "If it's alright, Mrs. Weil, I think I'll move to the front to make some room," she said, flashing a glance at Rider's seat; as she saw comprehension and approval dawn in her instructor's eyes, Sam smiled and began to pack up her things. It would take a few seconds, which might be just enough time for Michael notice her incoming predicament.

I'm going Skill, using my knowledge of Michael and my own reputation to get him to volunteer to move the front, while I'm building a goodwill with the teacher and the new student.

Tachi was well into his usual mid morning stupor. Class was so very boring.

Until she arrived. She caught his attention like no other mortal in this school. Maybe it was just her gentle curves or the way the light caught her hair. What was he thinking? He hadn't felt this way in ... ever. She must be mine. But why?

A quick muttering of Ka-TaNee-San under his breath was enough to stop his heart. Her aura was completely blank! Most people had stains on their auras where emotions had built up. But aside from the hum of magical power hers was trepidation and nothing else.

He must possess her. Samantha was already angling to be her seat mate. This would not stand!

"Madam, I would be pleased to aid the young lady in anything she desires. Anything at all." He casually lets his silk shirt flap open revealing his well toned chest.

Yulianna, as with most mornings, stared out the window, blissfully unaware of the class activities surrounding her. She played around with her snow-white hair, hoping, in a flash of insight, to cause a snowstorm. Hey, even wandering druids get homesick! She could have sworn she saw a single snowflake when something uncharacteristic happened:

Yulianna noticed something going on in class!

It seemed that some of her fellows were obsessed or upset or oppressed or some such word with something or other. Peering up from the window, Yulianna casually scanned the area for the source of interest. A butterfly perhaps? Yulianna hoped it was a butterfly. But as it turned out, the answer was something far more enchanting. A young woman, one whom even Yulianna did not know. And she was gorgeous! Like a rose in bloom, or a summer sunset! Yulianna had never been one for romantics, least of all with mongrels those of the lower class. But THIS young woman! She had royalty in her veins, or nobility, or divinity, or something fantastic, Yulianna was sure of it!

Raising from her seat, a number of her desk neighbors nearly gasped as she rose to her feet. Yulianna hated early morning activity, school activity especially, and yet here she was, actively Making Effort to be Friendly!?!? And in the American Morning no less? Surely, this was sign of the end. But Yulianna ignored them. They were not Her.

Standing before the girl, she bowed her head, before rising back, a fresh bouquet of white roses in hand, summoned in an instant by her magic. "Priyatno vstretit'sya s vami, Miss Ophelia Dawn. Ya Yulianna Gavrilla Tiani, Eldest Daughter of the Tiani Family. And I couldn't help but notice, with you being new, you lack proper seating. Yesli ya mogu nalozhit' you should feel more than welcome to sit by my side." She flashed the woman a winning smile, the leaves making up her robe brightening as she did, and a few buds even blooming in the proccess. "What do you say?"

Jeanne smoldered quietly in her seat. At least it was the window seat, the only bright spot in these sorry, game-less opening weeks. Ow. Honestly, why would you have school without decent football practice? It's not like -ow- not like there was anything worthwhile to do in the first few weeks, anyways. Ow.

What was going on, again? Oh, right. Blah blah transfer student blah blah. Nothing important, then. Ow. Let's see, who around looked particularly punch-able? Beside her, some scrawny kid that had the nerve to sit next to her seat, and the white haired ditz-druid close by. Both looked relatively flammable. Perfect. Ow.

Now, all it would take is a few, carefully tossed sparks and...

...Who in the Seven Hells was that? Not boy-toy McCleavage, the one that looked like she just fell from heaven. And not the Queen of the Frozen Face, either.

Ophelia Dawn, eh? Now, Dad always wanted someone respectable significant other to come over, I wonder how he'd feel about THAT sort of significant other...

After all, we're both, as they say, smoking hot. Heh. Ow. Never gets old.

...She has such beautiful eyes....

...Oh, right! She'll need an extra seat. And the closest one is full of useless.

Jeanne lays a companionable arm across Jeremy Junior's shoulders, who flinches as a burning scrap of skin falls down his neck, and leans down to whisper softly in his ear "Scram, pipsqueak. That seat's taken." She then smiles winningly at Ophelia, showing off her beautifully long fangs.

Alice was leaning back in her seat near the back of the class as it started. She should probably be paying attention to whatever the teacher was blabbing about, but that would be so boring, so instead she was just using her vantage point to scan the class. Too bad there was only so much to see with everyone's back turned and chairs in the way of the really interesting part of those backs, but eh, she'd have gotten told to stop for sure if she'd sat in front and turned around to do this, so better than nothing.

Let's see, there was a cute redhead up front, a beefy-looking blonde guy she assumed must be on the football team, a hot dark-haired chick near the middle of the class, and ooo, the tall guy looked like he might be an Incubus... but then her eyes settled on the person up front that actually didn't have her back turned to her. She was standing by the teacher, so she must be what the teacher was talking about - not that Alice could hear that past how gorgeous the girl was. That beautiful blonde hair, those deep blue eyes, that perfectly shapely rack - god damn, she had to get a make-out session with this girl. Or two. Or a lot more.

As she was busy undressing the new girl with her eyes, though, she easily lost track of what else she was doing, which brought about the near-inevitable: her chair plummeted backwards and she hit the ground with a loud THUMP. "Owww...." she whined quietly, her back sore from the impact. But the fall did give her an interesting perspective, looking up at the seat behind her from below. ...wait, it was empty? Why? Didn't the back seats tend to fill up fast?

Ooooh, that's right, the cheerleader girl who had been sitting there when she came in had stormed off to the front after she'd tripped over someone's backpack and skidded to a stop under her desk, with a great view up her mini-skirt, then flirtatiously suggested that they should do that every day. And she'd even very nicely offered to take turns doing it, too. She must've been straight, Alice figured - why did none of the straight girls around here have a sense of humor? Anyway though, that was awfully convenient. Especially since if the new girl took that seat, and Alice fell like this again (which she was sure she would, with how things went with her), she'd get an even better view... mmmmm...

Right, focus - need to get her to take the seat first! "Oh hey, got a seat in the back still open!" she called out as she popped back up off the floor. Hot Stuff seemed to be shy anyway, she'd want the back seat, right?

Both the back seat, and the seat next to Alice were clear, Alice apparently had a tendency to drive straight girls away.

Ophelia almost in a daze, seemed relieved to see the two seats in the back empty, and immediately started moving towards Alice.

Mrs.Weil gives you a glare, as Ophelia seems to be entirely uninterested in the sight of Tachi's bare chest. Unlike most of the girls in the front two rows, currently swooning, including one of the cheerleaders right in front of you.

"Name's Lillian." The buxom brunette replies blushing "Why haven't I noticed you before." She asks.

Tachi mimes shock at the teacher before carefully buttoning up the third button on his shirt.

At least the Celestia blessed druid had been put in her place. Alice was a known quantity and could be bargained with, he would have to find a comely succubus or two and see what mischief they could wreak.

But for now that could perhaps wait. He smiles dazzlingly at the brunette before responding. "Perhaps you simply could not appreciate what was in front of you? I am as always Tachi, how may I service you?" His smile grows broader as he allows her to see his pointed teeth.

Lillian blushes at Tachi's line. "I can think..." She shakes her head to clear it. "I mean... I merely wanted to introduce myself." She says clearly unused to being flustered.

That's when your other seatmate leans over.

"Hey... Did either of you two do the reading assignment yesterday?" They ask hopefully.

Samantha turned to them. "Indeed I did. Still not past the revolution yet, but once we get past that we'll get into all the juicy political intrigue that surrounded the nation's founding."

Which is why he had been half asleep. Learning about history was less fun when you were there.

Surprisingly Jeremy Junior barely does more then wince as your scalding hot flesh lays over him. "Hey, Jeanne. If you're going to throw your arms around me, at least let me buy you dinner first." He snarks.

Dammit. Why'd she have to get seated by the one wimp in the classroom that had a spine? Ow. And she's going to sit next to the Wonderland Stripper, and probably going to need to change classrooms to get away from the sexual harassment. Fang-sucking-tastic.

"Putting yourself on the platter? I drink blood, moron. If I wanted to do terrible things to my heart, I'd just fall on a stake rather than make it sort through all the fat clogging your arteries. I needed an armrest, but I suppose you're doughy enough to serve as a cushion."

Wait, was he fat? She hadn't checked, and if she actually bothered to look at him it would damage her integrity. He felt mushy enough, bu that might just have been the sweater. Dammit, she hoped he was fat. Or at least sensitive about his weight. What kind of person would go through life being called Jeremy Junior without developing some crippling self esteem issues, anyways? Hopefully not this one.

Oh well. Let's see if he can keep his cool for the rest of the class while his shoulders are getting burned off.

Alice blinked in surprise at Ophelia's ignorance, even missing how the girl had just pointed at her chest. "Wait, really? You don't know Alice in Wonderland? Kooky Disney flick about a little blonde girl who goes to this crazy world where nothing makes sense? With the late rabbit, and the guy in the hat obsessed with not-birthdays, and the drugged-up caterpillar, and fat cat with a pedo smile, and the card-people, and the ugly b**** going 'off with her head' because she's bad at some kind of fake golf thing?"

Ophelia rubs the back of her head awkwardly.

I... I might have seen it... I don't know.... I can't....

She looks down and sighs.

I don't remember anything beyond the start of this summer..... She says unable to meet your eyes.

Unfortunately, if he does have self-esteem issues it's certainly not about his weight, as he looks at you like you're a particularly dumb puppy.

As that happened, right after Ophelia popped in, a young boy rushed in, throwing a late note at the teacher, as he hastily crammed into the seat next to you, before realizing you were standing.

"Wait.... Why are you standing? Are we doing that dumb, I'm blank, and three things about myself are....?" He questions you.

Yulianna's face soured at the boys intrusion upon her plans, the flowers in her hands wilting away to nothing in seconds as she returned to her seat. As though I would share my personal information with mongrels like you, she sneered, returning to her seat with a dissatisfied expression.

Jeanne turns the motion into an exaggerated stretch, pretending she had fully intended to lift her arm off anyways.

"You know about saturated fats? Don't look like anything from the outside, but they're hell to get rid of, slowly accumulating inside your veins, choking the life out of you from the inside. Probably nothing to worry about on it's own, but if you don't get enough iron in your diet and enough cardio in the day, it's a one way express ticket to heart attack junction. Just the thought of trying strain anything nutritious out of all that garbage...blech."

Jeanne idly flips through the textbook.

"Oh well, I'm sure you would have noticed by now if anything serious was happening, what with shortness of breath after exercise, difficulty in lifting moderately heavy objects, lack of appetite, yada yada yada. Heh, if that sort of thing were happening to me, I'd get to a doctor as fast as my legs could carry me."

She'd been starting slow since Ophelia seemed shy - and Alice had seen what happened if she came on too strong with shy people once or twice before - but she seemed to be getting comfortable fast, so maybe it was time to be more open. "Yep. Guess that's the first thing I've helped you try, then," she answered. "How do you like it?" she asked, her tone now obviously flirty.

Jewels and Chris have gone out with me a couple of times, but not anybody else - unless one of them's holding out on me, anyway. I'm just kind of... open to doing fun stuff whenever, I guess you could say."

Who are Jewels and Chris? Ophelia asks confused.

Who are Jewels and Chris? Ophelia asks confused.
"Oh, they're a couple of my friends," Alice answered. "Jewels is a nickname, her real name's Julia - she really likes jewelry. And her tits are this cute small size, like a pair of little jewels, but that's kind of just a lucky break, I've been calling her that longer than she's had them. She was the first girl I ever kissed, or went out with. I got totally lucky one of my best friends turned out to be another bi girl, let me tell you, because my straight friends got so weirded out when I tried to flirt with them back in middle school, and I do not want to think about if I hadn't been able to find any other girls I knew who liked girls..."

"Um, but anyway, Chris is a guy friend of mine. Not the first guy I ever did stuff with, but one of the ones who's more understanding about me not wanting a serious relationship, so we've stayed friends better than some of the others. He's a big wrestling fan, so he sometimes invites me over to watch that, and we kind of make little dates of those."

Yulianna eyed the boy for a moment. He seemed so self-assured, so positive of his success, absolutely certain in his ability. And for this, Yulianna laughed. Loudly. Even her laughter was controlled and dignified, sharp enough to betray the cruelty in its nature. Oh forgive me, Heathen, she replied, wiping a tear from her eye as she calmed herself. By this point, Alice was getting frustrated with Ophelia side-stepping her suggestions and wondering about things that probably didn't matter. So she got more blunt. "Well, you're sure not gonna find out by sitting around moping about what you don't know. What you need is to try stuff and see what happens," she said. She twisted in her seat so she was sitting in it sideways, fully facing Ophelia, and leaned forward, which had the effect of emphasizing her chest, before asking as straightforwardly as possible, with an eager smile on her face, "Wanna try making out?"

It was Amanda's turn to look confused. That makes no sense, what purpose is there to make fun of someone simply because they are a different height than you are? Especially at our age, when some start growing after the others and end up far taller than those who were making jokes at their expense before

Alice was grinning from ear to ear as she went up to read her poem. Most classwork she wasn't particularly good at, but writing about her favorite topics was something she could do, and presenting that would be so much fun. She could make a little show of it!

As she began reading her poem - which mostly consisted of thinly-veiled innuendo and a lot of references to love, kissing, and touching - she started that performance by puckering her lips exaggeratedly at the end of one line, and running her hands over her upper arms during another. Getting into the improv of it, that quickly escalated into her swaying and soon enough all but dancing. She wound up reciting part of the poem (imperfectly) from memory, since she couldn't keep her eyes on the podium both because she was moving around too much and because she wanted to watch the class and see just how everyone was reacting - especially Ophelia.

But of course, she was still herself, the total clutz, so it shouldn't have been a surprise when, as she was nearing the end of the poem, she somehow managed to trip over her own feet in the middle of a twirl she tried to do too fast, and caught her shirt on the corner of the podium as she stumbled and spun. With the fabric being thin and the fit being tight since it was about a size smaller than she should really be wearing the ensuing, loud RIIIIP was inevitable, and she soon stood before the class wearing little more than her shoes and socks, a black mini-skirt, and a lacey blue bra. But she recovered smoothly, just smiled and quickly finished the last couple lines of the poem while barely holding back her laughter, and took a confident bow (knowing full well the view that would give). She was happily drinking in the attention she was getting for the short moment that she could, since she was sure the teacher was definitely about to spoil her fun.

Petite wallflower
Golden locks cascading down
She hides behind them

Cerulean eyes,
Windows to the soul, hiding
Secrets from herself

She walks among us,
Finished swimming the Lethe
Fish out of water

Her beauty receives
Ubiquitous compliments
From complete strangers

They barely know her
And value her appearance,
Not her inner self

Past nowhere in sight
Presently objectified
Future uncertain

Walking uncertain roads
Can be treacherous solo;
Friends ease the journey

Ugh, poetry. The one thing deader than her family's social life. Ow. Anything that saw the light of day in class was either boring enough to send you to sleep or depressing enough to make you wish for a more permanent solution.

...

Wait, that poem sounds awfully topical. ...Oh, is that what we're doing? Lord, it shouldn't be surprising that someone who can't keep their shirt on for five minutes wouldn't have the decency to let the poor girl have some peace for at least one day.

...

And now they're not even being subtle about it. Yes, yes, we know who you're talking about, no need to stare at them every time you look off the page.

...

Alright, if we're going to play the dancing-around-names game this much, then someone might as well have fun listening to it. If there's one thing a brief stay in the cheerleader squad can teach you, it's how to spin up a decent tune.

At her turn to read, Jeanne leans against the wall, letting her beat out a decent rhythm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tJYN-eG1zk) on her leg and the floor.

"Buddy - you're a girl - make a big twirl

Should have red on your face
You big disgrace
Wanderin' hands reachin' all over the place
Swingin'

Keep your - keep your - shirt on
Keep your - keep your - shirt on

Buddy - you're an old man-perv man
Playing young and creepin' after girls one sixth your age
Should have red on your face

Poppin' your buttons all over the place

Keep your - keep your - shirt on
Wheelin'
Keep your - keep your - shirt on

Buddy - you're an cold girl - gear girl
Rolling down that Stairway to Heaven to a world of pain
Should have red on your face
Big disgrace
Wanderin' eyes better shuffle back into their place

Keep your - keep your - shirt on
Pleadin'
Keep your - keep your - shirt on

Alright."

Jeanne looks up at the class. "It's got verses. It's a poem."

Now time for that dramatic exit, sealing the deal and possibly stealing Ophelia's heart like ye old rockstars of yore.

When the time is right, Jeanne casually tosses it over her shoulder on the way back to her seat as the last of the paper is consumed into ash, possibly triggering the fire alarm and sprinklers. "Are you quite done, Alice?" One of the front row girls replies rolling her eyes.
Alice frowned at the strange lack of reaction she got. Really? It would be one thing if they just didn't like the poem - heck, she had no idea if it was good or not, it was just fun to write and read in her mind - but she'd accidentally wound up shirtless and there was barely a peep? That was almost, well, insulting. Come on, bad poetry or not, she knew she at least looked hot. And heck, even the teacher wasn't yelling at her somehow, which was weirdly frustrating!

She groaned in annoyance at the front girl's remark. Must be another straight girl, she supposed. "Guess so..." she replied mopily, grabbing the torn shirt and carrying it with her as she made her way back to her desk - though making no move to use it to cover up. Hey, if the teacher wasn't going to say anything, she might just stay like this for a few minutes. She had spare clothes in her backpack for when he did, and in the meantime, at least being shirtless was getting her a little attention, even if way less than she'd think it should...

"That... that would be unproper." The girl replies cheeks red.

Improper, dear," she absentmindedly corrected the girl sitting next to her. Then, of course, her name was called, and she went to the front of the class before the girl could respond.

After the poem...

"Brava! Brava!" Ophelia cheered clapping her hands as you finish your poem.

"That was really good." Mr.Johnson agreed.

Samantha blushed slightly at the heavy praise; it had seemed a bit simplistic to her, and was too specific to make for really good poetry. Nonetheless, she gave a small curtsy before returning to her seat as the next person went up. Her mind drifted to Ophelia's situation as they began; the girl needed somebody she could depend on, who wouldn't attempt to influence her impressionable memory for personal gain. If others were going to befriend the girl, Samantha would as well, to give her a more dependable, truer friend.

Ugh, the snooty girl was following her? Geez, ruined shirt, nobody liked her poem or performance, and now this - she couldn't catch a break this class.

Oh well, the other girl did at least seem like she embarrassed easily. Maybe that could be fun. "Weeeelllll..." she started, lowering her voice, "when was the last time you heard of a 'proper' girl making out with a hot jock behind the school after practice, while he's all hot and sweaty and took his shirt off to cool down? Or feeling up a cute, curvy, blushing girl behind the stairs while everybody else is at lunch? Or getting into a wet T-shirt contest? Or watching some porn with her friends? Or playing strip poker, or spin the bottle, or truth or dare, or skinny dipping?" she asked with a smirk, watching the other girl's reactions to her ideas for fun things to do.

Alice perked up a bit at the parts that made the other girl blush. Okay, maybe she could have some fun here after all. "Well, I haven't done all of those things - yet - just most. But I'd totally do the rest, too, because they'd all be eff-you-en fuuunn," she said, her voice turning sing-song at that last. "Oh, right, sure," Alice answered with a sigh, before she started rummaging through her backpack. "Can't believe Mr. Jackson never asked me to, though," she said as she sifted through her options. No, that one was definitely for sometime when she away from the teachers, and that one was for gym class, and that wasn't a shirt... "I mean, he even told one of the boys to button up. ...think maybe he just pervs on the girls in class?" she asked, sounding only a little bothered by the thought.

Finally finding something that would work, she pulled a dark red tank top out of her backpack. She'd intended to change into it after gym, but now would have to do. She put it on a little bit slowly, to watch the other girl's reaction. In contrast to the shirt she was wearing before, it was a loose fit, a bit larger than she needed, which she liked for after gym made her all sweaty. Right now though it mostly meant that one wrong move might cause it to drop a touch too low and show off more of her bra than was "appropriate" - not that she cared about that.

Incorrigible? Ophelia questioned.

"Indeed. I can think of at least two people in our year who don't have the maturity necessary to handle such a drastic change to the dress code; I imagine Alice in particular would have to start travelling with a mop and bucket to make sure nobody--including Alice herself--slipped on her drool trail."

"Whose the other?" Ophelia questions.

"Anthony--although basically everybody calls him Tony--can be a bit of a pig already, and that's with people wearing clothes. He's not pushy, but I've no doubt that a nudist dress policy would result in him being a lot more open about ogling every member of the female student body, pun fully intended." She paused, considering something. "It's actually kind of shocking, but of our year, probably the person whose behavior would change the least if such a policy was enacted would be the resident incubus," she said, indicating the speaker she'd wolf-whistled for unbuttoning his shirt. "Mind you, that's not because he'd be unfazed by the female form, but rather because he's too much of a smooth operator to let it show. He'd keep his cool, I'm sure of it."

As your unbuttoning commences you hear a few girls wolf-whistle. Upon seeing them Ophelia starts, heart clearly only somewhat into it.

Mr.Jackson notices after she starts to whistle. "Tachi. Button up your shirt, that's improper!" He replies sternly.

Tachi mimes shock and deliberately buttons his shirt up to the collar in front of Mister Jackson.

After Alice's poem

As the entire class erupts in wolf whistles and cat calls Tachi chooses a slow graceful clap. I couldn't have timed that better

When Alice returns to her desk she finds a note written in elaborate cursive. If you ever want a job with some permanance, call me. and a phone number.

After Jeanne's "poem"

"Controlling? Well, to an extent; they want what's best for me, and while they let me handle my own issues most of the time, they tend to step in when things become something I can't deal with myself--like say, a nudist dress code at school--and do what is necessary for my safety, to whatever end that means to them."

Jeanne smiles sweetly at Tachi on her way out, using her four inch height advantage to it's fullest looming potential. "Only one of us is flashing high-schoolers, short-stuff. Try to remember that when gym class rolls around."

Jeanne exits the class, throwing a rude gesture over her shoulder and remembering to duck just before she would have walked into the door frame.

Samantha was resolved to get her new friend some nice dessert today, whatever it took. She managed to talk Michael into watching her bag and food while she returned to the secondary line; she managed to circumvent most of the line by drawing one of her fellow debate team members into a discussion about Ophelia as she neatly used the opportunity to avoid a long wait, and she even managed to talk the cafeteria lady into letting her purchase a second dessert, despite the general policy of one per student.

Making her way back over to Michael, she glanced at Ophelia, surrounded by strange people and clearly feeling uncomfortable. Seeing some of the other members of their class approaching, she frowned. "Michael, if it's not too much of a bother, would you mind accompanying me today at that table over there? I'd like to continue helping her feel welcome, and I think the presence of a morally-upright young man would do well to balance out some of Tachi's more...extreme behaviors."

[Prior to lunch.]

Alice was smiling to herself and stuck in her own imagination basically all morning, class passing in a daze. First there was the incredibly hot, a little shy new girl who said she would make out with her if she found someplace private to do it, and then there was the cute closeted girl who had gone from berating her for accidentally ripping her shirt to actually drooling a little at the offer of a chance to feel her up in gym. Both of which she couldn't help daydreaming about. Today was going to be a good day at this rate, that was for sure.

She was actually so distracted that she didn't notice the note on her desk until right before lunch. She picked it up curiously and read it, only to come away confused. "Why would I want a job? And who the heck left this?" she said to herself, scratching her head. She shrugged and crumpled the paper up, tossing it absentmindedly into her messy, clothing-stuffed backpack.

[Lunch]

But lunch finally came - the first of Alice's chances to get Ophelia someplace private to make out! And she had just the place in mind, too: an old classroom a short walk down the hall from the lunch room that was too small for any real classes these days, and so sat empty most of the day until it got used by a couple of clubs after school. She'd ducked in there a couple of times with her make-out buddies already the past couple of weeks - it was great when she found someone a little shy like Ophelia, or when they wanted to get a little more physical than just kissing. But Opehlia was drawing quite the crowd - she wasn't sure whether she would be able to get her to come with her without giving away what they were up to, which would kind of defeat the point of trying to take her someplace private. Hm, that sucked. Well, maybe she could get her attention with something else, and hope Ophelia remembered her offer herself.

She pondered that while waiting in line to get lunch, eyeballing the different foods on display. There were some of the same stuff as always - salads, hot dogs, pizza - but she was a little tired of those. She was leaning to one side, trying to get a better view of the rest of the counter without getting out of line, when the elbow she'd been leaning on the counter slipped, and she fell face-first into some weird goop she'd been ignoring because it looked gross. Blech, great, it was getting in her mouth... wait a second. This wasn't bad. In fact, it was pretty good! She quickly grabbed the bowl - hey, her face had been in it, who else was going to have it? - and the other stuff that seemed to be near it to dip in it. Some kind of bread? Eh, whatever. Hm, actually... maybe Ophelia would like this too? She grabbed a second bowl and some more of the bread to bring her hopefully-new-friend, just in case. Anything to get her attention, after all.

The rest of the day was a veritable slump for Yulianna. That those others would try to claim her new found fondness? It was as though the Huns stood agape before the empire of Rome! They simply were unworthy of her presence. Yulianna could see in the girl a spark of that same perfection she had. And perfection was a rare comodity outside of her homeland. So, perhaps, she would simply have to put some of the homeland into her?

As usual, Yulianna was brusk and brash making her way to the table of the new student. It wasn't as though many students didn't know by now to stay out of her way. Ah, my snova vstrechayemsya, young miss, she announced, placing a soft hand upon the girls shoulder. I realize that, being from not around here, you may not know, but among all the musor, there IS food worth eating in this place. Reaching into her bag, The Druid produced a simple wooden basket, setting it down besides Ophelia. Pulling from the basket what appeared to be a porcelein bowl of... pasta?

That... That doesn't sound too good.... Ophelia comments, eating absent-mindly.

The incubus looks oddly at the girl. "I meant from earlier in your life. You should have learned basic demonic psychology after your awakening. Do you remember your awakening?"

Seeing the increased confusion on Ophelia's face Tachi pales and his tail droops rapidly. "Oh, Lords of the Realm. You don't remember your awakening. Has anyone told you you're a sorceress?"

You can feel Ophelia nod.

I... I remember! My kitchen, and me... with a bowl of this... Most... most of the kitchen is foggy but.... this is clear as day. She continued still crying from joy.
Alice blinked. Wow, Ophelia was really emotional over this. "Well, I'm really glad I tripped into it, then, if it makes you this happy," she said, smiling.

Oh Dear, Yulianna remarks looking upon the scene, her expression one of mild surprise. To think the common masses could actually happen upon a good deed from time to time. Truly trogatel'nyy...
Alice rolled her eyes at Yulianna's remark. "Yeah, something you couldn't figure out how to do past your above-it-all act if one stood up behind you and slapped you on the a**," she remarked.

"Ahem. You speak of the hells? Jeanne sonorously declaimed. Taking advantage of his approach, Jeanne grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer, so she could properly loom over him, dramatically winding back a fist. Not that she believed Yulianna's apology for a second - hell, who would when it was prefaced with the girl being just as stuck up and self-important as usual with the "I am the better person" bull? - but it was less satisfying this way than it would've been if she'd forced it. And now she kind of had to apologize back, or she'd look bad in front of Ophelia, and she didn't want that.

"I'm sorry too," she said simply, her tone not entirely convincing.

Oh, so you live with your mother? That is Oblegcheniye, how do you say, a relief. It must be helpful in these times to have someone else so dear to you.
"Well duh, who else would she live with?" Alice mumbled to herself. She would normally have just said it out loud in full, but with Ophelia trying to play peacemaker between them, she didn't want to do that just at the moment.

Oh, I live with both my parents actually. I mean they aren't home alot... But still. Ophelia comments.
Alice looked interested at that. "So... home alone a lot, huh? Or do you have brothers or sisters?" she asked.

Tachi's smile slips for the first time in weeks, the incubus looks ... sad? "As Jeanne said in English, I'm a pretty old boy, I remember when flappers rode in flivvers. I'm probably old enough to be your grandfather, great grandfather maybe. With my luck you've got the right bloodline and you are my kin."

Wow. Jeanne didn't think it had gotten to him that much. Come to think of it, he really has been around for a long, long time. So long, watching the same mistakes repeat themselves time and time again, old pleasures fading with the repetition, time marching on, leaving you confused and alone in a strange, unsympathetic world. Perhaps they weren't so different after all. That was how they were staving off eternity, after all. Putting the past aside, pretending to be young and naive, pretending they had not seen this story a dozen times before. Perhaps they could find a common ground that such transient mortals could not understand. Perhaps-owOwOWOWOWGODAMMITHERHAIRWASONFIREOWOWOWREGENERATE YOUPIECEOF-there we go. What was she thinking about? Oh, right, Tachi being a whiny little baby. Now, what was that Ophelia was talking about? Family troubles. Well, she knew about that.

Looking a bit cross after her hair briefly combusted, Jeanne sucked particularly hard on her blood pack. "Oh, family. Well, at least you haven't spent the past century stuck in a coffin while some dreary psychologist lectured at you all night. Say, Tachi, I didn't think demons cared about incest, anyways. Aren't all those inbred hillbilly murder-families you see in the movies supposed to be demon worshippers?"

Alice actually found herself leaving school a little disappointed. She'd never found a chance to drag Ophelia off to the empty room without other people noticing, with how everyone was hovering around her, and Lissa hadn't tracked her down in gym, either, so both of her hopes for new make-out buddies hadn't actually happened. That was so lame after how much hope she'd had this morning. Well, at least she had Jewels coming over after school today. That was always fun. They'd do each other's hair, watch some cheesy TV shows, make out, maybe get just a little touchy - a typical afternoon hanging out for them, but it never got old.

"...and so that's when I told her she could look me up in gym and do a little more than look if she wanted, and she actually started drooling a little!" Alice said with a giggle, recounting her day to Julia as they walked. She lived close enough to school to do that, and her parents liked that it freed up more time for them, and she loved it when she got to walk with a friend - especially a hot one like Julia, whose hips her eyes kept going to as she recounted the more fun parts of her day. Mmm, she did love the way they swayed...

Staring at them when walking was not the best of ideas, though, and it ended almost as it usually did. Well, mostly - her fall being precipitated by moped zipping by too close to her was a new one. But it still sent her careening into a nearby high wooden fence, her head finding a hole it could just fit through.

Ugh, she hated when this happened. Falling into people was fun - as long as they weren't really ugly or really mean - but this was just uncomfortable. And... huh, whose yard was this, anyway? The grass was crazy overgrown, and there were so many other plants it was tough to see very far in most directions. There were a few openings, though, and... wait, was that Mr. Robins? Yeah, she thought so. He was a friend of her parents', and kinda weird. Of course, so were her parents, but still, he was weirder, she thought. Actually... was that her mom over there, sitting by a pool? And oh, there was her dad, too. Huh, they must have gone to visit. That was cool, she'd have the house to herself. They were always out all night when they went to friends'. Now, she just had to try and dislodge herself... wait, what was her dad doing with Mr. Robins? It was hard to tell from this angle, but... okay, ew. And her mom was - ewewew!

She found the strength to dislodge herself pretty quickly after that. Crap, why did she have to see that? She could've gone her whole life without knowing her parents did that! ...okay, if it was anyone else it'd be a different story, but this was her mom and dad!

”Uh… well, think we’ve got my place to ourselves today Jewels,” she said to her friend, half distracted trying to forget that sight. A moment later though, it clicked: ”Hey… want to turn that in a party?” she asked her friend with a renewed smile. Her parents didn’t normally like her having more than one or two friends over at a time, since their house was so small, but what they didn’t know wouldn’t get her in trouble!

Yulianna took her time finding a reflecting pool. Mother was notoriously difficult to reach via the primitive cellular technology, and far, FAR, harder to reach via messenger. So, two way scrying. Basic magic, to be sure, but sufficient to get her mothers attention. Sure enough, Madame Tiani allowed the spell to reach her, gazing fondly at her all too distant daughter. Taking a moment away from her work, she spoke to her daughter, her Russian coming through far more naturally than Yulianna's.

"Yes, my dearest daughter, why do you call? What do you require? She questioned.

Beloved mother, I would only like to ask for permission to bring in a classmate or two to our home while you are away, she replied honestly, giving her mother a warm smile.

Oh? And hear I thought your feelings toward to lowb- I mean, the mundane to be genuine. If you wish to use the home as a meeting place for your friends, I have no qualms. Was there anything further?

No, nothing else mother. May the rest of your day be as lovely as you are, she flattered, a small wave to her mother before the reflecting pool became ordinary water again. After a moment of thought, she decided to reuse the pool. If Ophelia's magic was as fluent as she sensed, her scrying should be easily visibile unto her. With some effort, she called to mind an image of the girl, and it appeared again in the water. blagosloveniya dikoy prirode! She cheered upon seeing the girls reflection. Miss Ophelia, I'm sorry if I intruded upon you, but I simply needed to know quickly. Would you be so kind as to bless my home with your presence this afternoon? I assure you, it will be an experiencevne vsyakogo sravneniya!

As the phone rang, Samantha was inwardly nervous; she knew her father had an important business call today, and would be cross with her if she interrupted it with her own...but he would be even crosser if it was interrupted because she had brought home guests without asking, as was the rule. And while her father was quite understanding of her rather fluid sexuality, there was no way he was going to allow her to be alone in the house (so to speak) with another student.

Click.

"Dr. William Manton speaking, may I ask who is calling?" Even as she breathed a sigh of relief at not interrupting her father's meeting, Samantha resisted the urge to roll her eyes; her father had Caller ID and her number memorized, there's no way he didn't know who was calling.

"It's Samantha, father. I know your rules about having company over, so I wanted to give a heads up: we recently gained a couple new members for the study group, and were planning the traditional greeting at our house, as usual. I didn't want to interrupt your meeting, so I thought to call as soon as possible."

"Understood. Thank you for calling ahead, Samantha. I'll make sure to have Philip prepare your study for your arrival. I must go now, though; the meeting is scheduled to begin any minute. And Samantha? Don't roll your eyes, even over the phone, it's not lady-like. Goodbye."

Click.

Samantha glared at the phone, absentmindedly wondering how difficult it would be to learn some kind of magic spell to make things spontaneously combust. She hadn't even rolled her eyes! Ugh...no matter, she had obtained permission! She glanced over at Ophelia. Truthfully, her study club had indeed gained a new member, but it was only the one. Still, it felt right to treat Ophelia to the same welcoming warmth, both to inform her of the study group in case she needed some help in certain classes as well as to keep her away from some of the less desirable elements attempting to assert their way into her life. Yulianna was nice enough, and would be a good influence on the girl, but Alice was a shameless flirt who somehow always managed to stumble her face into her conversation partner's crotch, Jeanna was a ruffian with delusions of relevancy to the modern era, and Tachi--

She spied Tachi chatting up some girl, before turning around to try and rope Ophelia into whatever sinister scheme he had to worm his way into her pants. Honestly, the boy had so little subtlety! He oozed charisma, though, and that's all that he needed to have people eating out of his hands. It irked her that nobody else seemed to notice his games, so it fell to her to keep him from corrupting this innocent young woman.

Seeing the limousine coming to pick her and the study group up, she made her way over to Ophelia. "Ophelia? I hope I'm not interrupting. My study group is having a meeting at my house today--" she gestured to the other members (and also to the limo pulling up, incidentally), "--and I was wondering if you'd like to join us. Each of us has our own little area of expertise, to best help out each other when we're having trouble...not to say you're having trouble, of course, but I imagine you would appreciate knowing who to go to for help, should it turn out you need some assistance in a subject or two." Samantha cursed herself inwardly; she was usually much smoother about all this, but something about this girl made her so nervous!

So. The wonderific stripper seemed to want to get Ophelia for a party. Probably for some nefariously pervy reason. As opposed to Jeanne's perfectly justified, morally inapproachable reasons that she doesn't feel like specifying at the moment. If poor Ophelia was brought into a party at one of the other's houses, it would surely be only a matter of time before she was either bored to death or be pressured into licentious activities. Though the latter had a certain appeal...Jeanne shook herself from that line of thought. She might have to bribe/bully Igor into stitching together some form of entertainment, but at least here she could make sure Ophelia would have a decent time, in a few senses of the word.

Still, Father and Mother would have to be dealt with. Their social life seemed to be as dead as...well...they were. Oh well, it was easier to seek forgiveness than ask permission, and Father could hardly object to hosting a "study" group....
...
...Why did that sound familiar?

...Oh, right. She tried that last time after the semi-final's victory celebration, or, as Father called it "Ze next time some pack of vagrants starts breaking windows, zey can explain to ze constabulary ze difference between a post-practice party unt mob violence."

Dammit. She was going to have to actually talk with Father.

Making sure she was dressed in "house-appropriate clothing" (which seemed to look less like a dress and more like a funeral shroud), Jeanne wen't to her father's dimly candle-lit study. It was the end of the work-night, after he had just finished the last consultation for the day, but just before dinner. Exhausted, but optimistic for the 3 AM organ practice. Hopefully, he'd be too tired to say no and too relieved to question the temporary ceasefire. Seeing that he just seemed to be filing some patient records, she crept up behind him and kissed his cheek.

"Daddy, would you mind if I brought a few friends over? We wanted to study for history class in a real historical house. Please?"

Hurgh. Keep it together, Jeanne. Sometimes you have to be tricksy to get the play through.

"Wow, she must be gorgeous. Blonde, brunette or redhead? You know what, I'd rather not know. As long as she or they are gone before I get home and you wash up afterwards it's fine. Lupe gets upset when she has to wash more laundry. Good bye son." *Click*

He smiled at Lillian as the girl approached him. "So I know this cute little coffee house right near my place. Then after, well who knows what will happen?

As he turns away he spots a familiar face. "Ophelia, is that you? What a delicious suprise! Care to join us for coffee?"

I... I can't.. I already promised Samantha I'd come over. Ophelia replied as you felt Lillian wrap her arms around your midsection jealously.

The hell are you doing Yulianna! Ophelia replied startled.

Yulianna's face turned to one of confused dismay. I'm sorry, miss Ophelia. I thought that perhaps this manner of communication would be more natural to you. I do humbly apolagize if I startled you.

"Anyone in particular you have in mind?" Jewel replied raising an eyebrow.
Just a reminder, "Jewels" is Alice's nickname for her. Her name is actually Julia Price. I stole her from the Persona game - she was the one NPC Alice interacted with during that game's brief existence.

Incidentally, don't worry, Alice won't do nicknames for all of her friends like Tanya. This one just came to me back when she first showed up in the Persona game, so I ran with it.
"Well, could go with all the usual. Chris, Tina, Jeff, George..." she started listing off various friends, most of whom Julia knew, until a thought struck her. "Oooo, or maybe the new girl from class, Ophelia? She seemed a little shy, but she said her parents left her home alone a lot, so maybe we could get her. ...probably couldn't have too many other people with her around though, what with the whole "shy" thing, but could be worth it," she suggested with a grin.

Scrying ON you? Not even once! Yulianna beams as though this were something to be proud of. But I am now scrying WITH you, hence why you can see my lovely visage, and I yours.

Of course not, dear, we've met only today! Not that I'd do so otherwise, of course, poor form. If ever I scry with you, you will know.

Tachi smiled at Ophelia. "Ab-so-lute-ly. I understand. Hard to say no to her isn't it? Just remember money can't buy happiness... and she's gone." Tachi finished lamely as the girl was bustled into the limo and driven away.

He glanced at Lillian. "And don't give me that look. You're wondering just as much as I am. What does she remember? What does she like? It's like being in a new city. Nobody knows you, you can do... well, anything. But onwards! Coffee awaits!" the incubus raises an arm in an overly dramatic marshaling gesture. Then he crooks his free arm to Lillian in the time honored tradition of gentlemen escorting ladies everywhere.

"Indeed, although perhaps after that, you would be able to visit Yulianna? In any case, we should probably get going," Samantha interjected as gently as she could. She didn't want to potentially interrupt a conversation with the only other really good influence Ophelia had.

"Aw... and here I was going to suggest maybe just her and Lissa. Try and find out if we could push the shy girls into playing around a bit? They're both definitely interested, but have never tried anything..." Alice started, but her expression fell a bit as Julia's stayed the same.

"Eh, okay, the usual guys should be fun too," she concedes with a shrug. Then a thought occurs to her. "Ooo, wait a minute. Maybe we could invite Tachi? That Incubus from my class who tried to help me at lunch? He seems like he'd be fun."

Tachi considers as they walk. How to reassure Lillian without alienating Ophelia? "Have you done this before? The whole demon thing? I'm guessing no. Demons are all about new things. We crave new experiences, new challenges, other new things..."

He runs a finger down her jawline and is rewarded with a slight tremble. "So she's new. I think that's just the cat's meow. That means cool, I guess? But you are better because right now you're with me."

"Pretty hot, yep. A bit too skinny to be a total stud, but hes got a very nice chest anyway - and trust me, I see plenty of it, because he has his shirt open more often than that werewolf from Twilight," Alice answered, spacing for a moment as she pictured both of those in her head.

That brought Alice back to reality, as she gave her friend a lewd grin. "Oh, don't I know..." she replied in a flirty tone, and briefly, slowly pulled her tank top down just enough to give Julia a good look at her bra, before quickly pulling it back up. "...and you'll get more of that when we're back home," she said with a wink.

Alice giggled at that. It was so much fun that she could still have that kind of effect on her friend so easily sometimes. "So... is that your way of voting for an all-girls party tonight? Or no party at all?" Alice asked with a raised eyebrow. "I mean, I still like the idea of inviting Tachi and a couple others, but..." she trailed off, waiting to hear Julia's answer.
