Hello everyone!

I just had the idea of starting an oots quiz. There are hundred -- alas, even thousand! -- of little interesting and/or funny details in the comics which you sometimes do not notice unless someone is poking your nose onto it. (:thog:: poke thog's what?)

The rules are plain simple. Someone asks a question that can be answered with (one or more) oots comic strips. (However, try to avoid boring counting questions...) Then people can try to answer it which should always include a link to the strip where you can see the answer. (Please do not write something like "Ah, that's A, you can see it somewhere between OOTS141 and OOTS200. Or maybe it was also a bit later, can't remember right now, but it's definately A.")
If still no one has a clue after after -say- 24 hours (maybe earlier) hints can be given. Whoever first gives the correct answer can ask the next question.

OK, 'nuff said, let's get it started! (:thog:: YAY!)

Oh, btw... it would be nice if people edited the link to the correct strip right next to the question once it has been answered. (Not the answer itself, just where you find it.)

Quoted:
Appended:
All questions must be from the ONLINE VERSION, not any of the books (including Origins)
No boring counting questions, things like 'How many times does X appear', or 'How many of these are in the comic strip', or such.
You can ask for a hint after 12 hours, or if the thread is about to fall to the second page (don't let that happen!)
Please also check to make sure that a question actually has an answer before you post it.
No counting questions with more than 3 parts, except something general like the previous 'find 10 couples'.

The first question in a new thread:

Find the Player's Handbook shown.

Could you clarify this? I'm not sure what should I be looking for.

Yeah, sorry, rereading it now, it is confusing.:smallfrown:

What I mean is, where can you find a mention of an ability's name, but no one is actually meaning the ability. Like in: "My holy gods will destroy you". There you have holy, but you don't mean the holy ability. And holy and unholy don't count as answers.

The answer I mean is quite hard, but there probably is another answer there somewhere. Sorry about the mess.

Let your question stand, after that my question can be answered.

Yeah, sorry, rereading it now, it is confusing.:smallfrown:

That could be anything. Like Belkar refering to "freezing" his assets off, or any time Vaarsuvius mentions burning stuff, or Belkar putting stuff on fire, or any reference to smite evil by people who don't do that, etc etc etc.

Where can you find a mention of an ability's name, but no one is actually meaning the ability. Like in: "My holy gods will destroy you". There you have holy, but you don't mean the holy ability. And holy and unholy don't count as answers. (Hint?)

Exactly. It is also referred to as a castle later on (it has a "castle self-destruct button", which for some reason is deep underneath the dungeon). It's either a castle called a dungeon, or a dungeon referred to as a castle. I suppose that makes it a cageon. Or a dustle.

An easy, but tricky one: find a strip where there are two nearly identical panels (i.e. the same characters saying the same things).

Ugh, that question was fun beacuse indeed was tricky, but color of his belt is at least controversial. For me it's definetly dirty green, with gray too. Much can depend on Monitor or even internet browser... Not to mention he /she is wearing black belt up to 197...
