The gods were put into existence through a mighty battle between two great enemies. The enemies destroyed much, but through the destruction, they slew eachother and rose to become spirits.

The magical energy thrown about has formed all of the new gods.. and they are now on a dimensional vortex known as the Hallowed Grounds. Celestial beings are serving all of the gods in this single plane. It has been precisely ten years since the gods had been made.

Not much has happened, but the gods have now developed their own senses, and it appears as if they have somehow grown more powerful. They desire their own desires as never before. It is time for the First Era to truly begin.

Luni awoke from his slumber abruptly and whooshed about the celestial plane, laughing manically from time to time. He noticed other Gods awaking and whooshed between them, laughing at each one.

'It's time *hehe*! For us to meddle in a new plane of existance *haha*! With simple and amazing creatures that we can control, fun will be had by all! *Tehe, ahah*'

Churnel

She opened her eyes. For the first time taking in the darkness around her. To look upon her shape and form.

She watched as the being called Luni floated around. It moved. She wanted to do so as well. Her first thought was that arms and legs were necessary to move about, but felt sadness when she noticed she had no limbs. She wanted to exert her will, to move, to affect. And with this thought came a large boom. Her will had become manifest in a flash of light; and it moved her. She had no hands to touch, but through her will she could "feel" her surroundings. The lightning was soon coursing through her very essence as it arced from one hair to another over her body.

She then took notice of the sounds around her: the booming of her will, Luni's words. She too wanted to fill the void with her thoughts.

My name is Churnel. And this is my voice.

She is in her caterpillar form.

Bialikk

A egg, pulsing since years, is now cracking. From it, a thick mist comes out, quickly followed by the hybrid form of Bialikk. The Bird God schriek as he finally awakes from his slumber. Lot's of things come through his bubbling mind, thousand of emotions as he notice his surrounding and understand his own self. But the strongest of these emotion is irritation, as a mad creature come cackeling around him.

"-Silent, you clown !! I... Who am... No, wait, I know that. Where am I and WHO ARE YOU ?!!!"ask Bialikk to Luni as the insane god continue to jump around.

Waiting for answers, the young Bird God spread away the remnants of his egg's shell.

Jackie

The Crime Lord became aware of his being, and he stood, wiping dust off of his finely tailored pinstripe suit. He looked through his thin prudent eyes as his teeth clamped down on a lit cigar. He reached up and adjusted his hat, and then did the same to his immaculate tie. He spoke in an odd mix of a cliched Mobster boss, a somewhat oriental accent, and a New England accent, though none of these things occurred to him not knowing what they meant. Look, you should calm down before you hurt yourself buddy.

Bialikk to Jackie
Still confused but now fully awaken, Bialikk turned his hawk-like head toward the creature who spoke to him. He really didn't like to be told what he should do, must do or had to do... no, he really didn't like.
Eyes half-closed, he stared at Jackie.

"I am no-buddy. I am Bialikk or so do I want to be named.
And who are you, smoke-boy ?"

As the great bird spoke, a small whirlwind rise around him, dissipating the cigar's smoke.

The tall Asiatic man smiles, his lips are thin like his eyes, he breathes smoke in the bird-creatures face before taking the cigar out and tapping it lightly as he speaks. For one Mister No-body his smile broadens I was talkin' to our hyper friend over here he gestures with the cigar toward the madly dancing god As for my moniker, you can call me Jackie.

Mort

The two great entities destroyed eachother, and while they faded into the abyss, becoming mere spirits of their former selves, a question arose. First, it was nothing but a small footnote. Slowly it began growing, taking form, and infused with the magic released by the titans, gained sentience.

As others around it grew, this entity used all of its energy not to grow in power, but to answer the mystery out of which it was formed. It thought, pondered and racked its brain over the question that created it.
Until one day, when it witnessed similar beings taking form, stumbled upon the answer. He -and it knew it was a he- was no longer the question that had arisen ten years ago:
He was the answer.

Oh.
it stated in a dry voice, as if noticing something commonplace.
I see.

And with a small rustle, Mort took shape. A tall man with black hair and a long white robe looked around with a slight smile on his face.

I'd love to type more, but I'm in a bit of a hurry. I'll post more tomorrow.

Bialikk

Bialikk was surprised. It actually tickled his throat and...
"-Cough...cough... Hum... I might have misunderstood. My apologies... Ja-ckie"

He pronounced the name as if the syllables were strange for him. Then he backed away slowly before gesturing around, his hand and wings encompassing the surroundings.
"-…and as for my second question to the mad one? Do you have any answer? And you ?"

He turned to face the gigantic slug, the tall man who was smilling and the other beings.
"-Does anyone know where we stand ?"

Luni

Luni stopped whooshing around and looked the the bird man. He grinned and whooshed up to him, dancing round him in a mad glee.

*Aha, oh hehe* 'I am Luni!' Luni throws confetty from a pocket and bows several times to an invisible audience. 'And I am the God of all things mentally insane!' *Hehe* 'We are on the celestial plane birdy, a place where Gods reside, like you and me. We can't do a great deal here, but I heard there's a new plane of existance coming into being called the Mortal Plane with lots of squishy things and small brains. Oh the fun we could have that!' *Haha, tehe*

Ah, so it has come to this. Not perfect tools, but then again, what are?

Shambling forward comes a great mass of engraved stone - like a landslide caught in a single frame of a camera - but there is some reason to it. A delicate order to it, that, if you look too close, you ...

A sudden (but then again, you somehow knew that it was coming ...) movement breaks the spell - the figure, kneels, then inscribes a line into the darkness that bisects the assembled powers into two groups - Luni, Bialikk, and himself on one side, Mort, Jackie, and Churnel on the other. He then stands, pleased with the effort.

Cale

"Huh," said Cale, as he suddenly truely came into existance. He looked around, and saw an odd assotment of gods around him, making him wonder just what they should do, all being gods and all. In his utter lack of excitement, and idea struck his head. He would make a symbol, a way for all to know him.

And from this idea, he reached out, and found the mortal realm, a place outside the Hallowed grounds. And in this world, he declared himself the first, and to honor himself for this feat, he crafted a great globe of fire, and named it the sun.

Jackie

Decidedly ignoring the insane god and still smiling at the bird god, he watched the shambling but ordered stones of the new god draw the line, and Jackie took the cigar from his mouth and tapped it over the line, ash from the cigar, which seemed to have an infinite store of smoke and ash but never got shorter, until there was a small pile that spilled over unevenly on both sides, he then tapped the ash into a line on his side that went nowhere and spoke before returning to the cigar to my mouth. And who, are you? And what's the line for, if you don't mind my askin'

"-Birdy?”
With a hoarse hiss, Bialikk did his best to NOT slam the laughing god to the ground. Wind began to blow a bit harder as the temper of the Bird-God rose.

Could he really pay credit to what this fool was saying? After the "insult", he decided that the answer was "no". He sighed, ignoring Luni and sending his confetti’s fly high above with the wind.
"-Does anyone ELSE know where we are?”

But Bialikk already knew the answer and the maniac laugh of Luni made him sighed one more time. The ground began to shake as an other being made himslef known.
"-The fools always speak truth, right?”

Zanwar

A small bit of the two gods' essences twirled around each other. Eventually they combined, forming an egg. The egg quickly hatched, and a small creature of some kind poked its head out. It cried out weakly, and a score of the celestial beings appeared to take care of it.

Ten years later...

Zanwar watched as the other gods came to their senses and began conversing. He stands up and stretches before walking over to the others. He looks down at them for a moment before laying down. He speaks in a sibilant whisper that sounds like a strong wind. "We are in the celestial realms. The gods are aware of a planet full of raging life. Energy pulsates from it more than the others. Chro Magnon, and Neanderthals fill the planet, and they have just developed full sapience. Both are fully human, and there appears to be a third sapient species, apemen. They are totaly confused and ripe for teaching or corruption. Lizard folk have also developed at the same time on another continent.

Luni gasps, then proceeds to roll around laughing. 'Look at these puny creatures. *Ha* So small, so insignificent, so stupid!' A huge grin spreads across Luni's face. 'I know! Let's have some fun and mess with their minds!'

Luni extended his influence to one particular Neanderthal who had just been hit on the head by another with a stone, causing quite a wound. The Neanderthal was now back in his cave, holding his head when Luni whispered mad words to him. Luni had chosen this man to speak for him and sent him to his tribe to tell them of the 'all-mighty' one.

Not wanting to be left out, he appears before a cro magnum group as one of them, but made of light and fire, and floating off the ground. As he stands before them, he speaks in their crude tongue, and says, "Behold, for I am Cale, the creator of the sun, master of the season of fire and heat, the Fire God! Bow before me, and I shall bless you as my greatest worshippers! I shall help rule over others, and give you control over fire istself!" And with that, said, he makes a ball of fire in his hands, and shows it before them, carefully making sure that they don't get burned or harmed in anyway.

Luni had instructed his 'speaker' to speak to his tribe in whatever crude form it may be that his people should express how they feel and what they think all the time and not be ashamed if it is bad or good. Luni also, using his Godly powers, created spectral images of his 'speakers' tribesmen to taunt them and drive them mad. For madness of the mind made Luni happy (and gave him power?)

Jukat Tribe and Zanwar.

Zanwar had managed to convince Jukat to be a servant. The tribe had a large number of Behemoth wyverns, and the Lizardment eventually learned how to be clerics. However, they were still at war with the Sharp Tooth clan. A clan from the swamp lands. A very larger tribe with more powerful shamans and witch doctors.

The Herald of Patterns waits, and watches.

So, they would stake out their claim among the minor tribes, would they? Well, if they would just have perspective ...

To the line that he had already drawn, he added another; one that bisected it midway through, moving at right angles, and then looked down, into the little towns and farmsteads, each expanding at their perfect rates of √speed. How perfect.

The next time any Chro-Magnon, Neanderthal, Lizardman, or indeed any sapient being slept, they would hear a voice:

Behold! You who previously have known only the poor, dark world of speech come into a new light. Know this, mortals; you now know the art of the written word, a system of logic and patterns but also great beauty - for it is in this art that true power lies, for in understanding the patterns between our worlds, and enstoning those patterns, you may understand it.

They would wake all knowing the same written language, and have a nagging desire to draw spirals, or see them in the world around them.

I'm guessing that simultaneously teaching everyone the same written language would be a major act, no?

(My first encounter was Luni choosing his 'speaker', since Luni doesn't want to manifest himself at this time. Also, everyone else seems to building up their 'tribes' but I feel Luni wouldn't want this, his only goal would be to make people go insane, we wouldn't bother helping people, although he'd let them advance on their own. He's a chaotic evil God, to use the D&D alignment. That said I'd like to 'influence' the other God's 'tribes' rather than just stick to the one I'm with for now, since insanity is a universal thing.)

Luni

Luni watched as Nomothete gave his 'people' language and written words and shrugged. He decided to show the world his power as well. Summoning his strength, he effectively made everyone blind for 3 days. On the third day he spoke to the mortals.

'Isn't this most fun? With nothing to see with, all you can do is see into yourselves. Do you like what you see? It's amazing, no?' *Haha, hehe* 'I am Luni!' *Again, he throws confetti and bows* 'What? No applause? Bah! Whenever you feel your mind is slipping away from you, it is me you should thank! Worship me and I may show pity on you. I may.' And with that, Luni lifted the blindness (not affecting those that were already blind) and returned to the celestial plane.

Wela and Keno

When Wela awoke, she felt alone. Then she turned on her side and found a turtle of great size. She greeted him and he greeted her. His name was Keno. While he may have been a newborn, just like her, he seemed much wiser and reminded the girl of an old man. Thus, she called him Old Keno, the Patient Spirit. Keno suspected that he and Wela shared the same soul, but he said nothing. Wela walked to the edge of the plane and saw the world for the first time. It seemed so vast and beautiful. Keno asked if she was interested in visting the planet below. Wela nodded. The Old Turtle took Wela on his back and traveled to the material plane.

Wela and Keno approached a tribe of Cro-Magnon. The girl watched them for some time before revealing herself and her companion.

"Greetings children of the planet. My name is Wela. I am the First Spirit and this is my friend, Old Keno. I am here to teach you and help you acheive a life of fulfillment and happiness."

She noticed that Cro-Magnon died from disease. The first step she took was to teach some of the men and women of the tribe how to cure illness of the body and the mind. They were the first witchdoctors.

Wela whispered to Keno:
"This is so fun!"

Keno nodded with a smile.

Wela then studied the primitive society of the Cro-Magnon. She felt it could use a little more organization. So she introduced the concept of sexual division of labour into the tribe. She took the women aside while the men were gone hunting and taught them which berries, vegetables and fungi were edible.

While most gods descended (ascended? Certain perspectives were hard for Mort to discern) to investigate this new world, Mort simply looked down upon it. He saw mortal creatures be born, grow, live and die.
And it was all so senseless.
Why? the god wondered, frowning at this waste. What's their purpose on here? Their life are so meaningless, and short. When I don't pay attention for a few moments, whole tribes have died out. Why do they do that?
Mort quickly shrugged it off, and he looked around, noticing he was still alone. He spoke out loud this time.

Mort accidently creates something better that expected. The after life is a place full of wealth. As people already had an after life, Mort ends up creating something very beneficial. The more people fill Mort's after life, the more he gains (subtle) power.

So be it...

As his "brothers" had already settled, Bialikk decided to also come among the mortals. As a tribute of his godhood, he would create his vision of paradise and offer it to those of the lesser beings who choose to whorship and help him.

Flighing high in the cloudless sky, the Bird God observed his kin as it spread civilisation. At the foot of some mountains, he spotted free tribes of Cromagnons. Those would be his chosen ones. The other races of intelligent beings wouldn't fit his aims.

Lifting a finger, he summoned two tiny winged creatures, one from the dust, the other from the air. The mephits, still confused, could do nothing but hover and listen as Bialikk spoke
I am Bialikk, the Father Bird, god of the sky. And you are my messengers. You will carry my word to the mortals.

He took a deep breath then speak his message.
Make it know that all tribes who will worship me shall be blessed, for I am the master of wind and can grant a lot.
For those brave enough to come and get it, a gift will wait at the top of the highest of these mountain. But only those whose faith in me is true can take it.

Without saying a word, the mephits went down the mountains, each his own way as they were about to spread the word of Bialikk : power was waiting for those willing to seize it.

OOC : I suppose that summoning two mephits to be my messenger is not a major act. I will create a artifact in the next post to reward the mortals who will climb the mountain. I don't expect them to reach the top, I just want to see which ones will get the highest and, among them, which one will ask for my help first. So, I'll get a courageous but also wise emissary.

As he spoke, Bialikk looked down the mountain. The mephits were traveling around, speaking to each man of the free tribes. They were fast but, from here, he couldn't tell if they were efficents. When will the mortals come and collect the reward of their trust in his word ?

Thinking of that, he realized there was still no reward.
Picking one of his feather, he put a large amount of his power in it, making it as hard as the stone but warm, as if the power heated from the inside.

He appeared near a tribe of Neanderthal, nearing them with a smile on his face.

As the Neanderthals show their way of living, Mort repays them with his knowledge: he tells them about Death, the Afterlife (his afterlife: While he liked that there was already an after life, he decided that it would be better if he could keep a close eye on it.) and some simple tricks with these two - which was great magic to the Neanderthals themselves.

Churnel watched from the celestial plane. She saw the Gods help, play, change. She watched the mortals grow, learn, die. She was watching an untouched tribe of cave dwelling neanderthals. They lived near the mouthh of a river, where there was plenty to hunt and eat. She watched as they changed and as the land around them changed. A feeling came over Churnel: a desire. She too wanted to changed. Suddenly the compelling force surfaced and she arched back spitting strings of metal from her spinerettes over and around her. A caccoon began to take shape around the being, the metal turning smooth as it fused together. When the caccoon was complete, she fell from the heavens; landing near the simple neanderthals.

In the distance a great storm began to take shape, moving toward Churnel and the tribe.

Mort was pleased with having some students. Answering questions was something that he still enjoyed the most, and he helped his followers whenever he could. He told them of the beatiful land that awaited them when their time would come, and that death is not something to be feared.
After a while though, he became more and more annoyed with those that stubbornly kept their distance from him, until one day he confronted a small group of them.
Why do you ignore what I'm trying to tell? Aren't you interested at what I want to teach you? Aren't you curious about what death brings you? he asked them calmly. He figured that anger and harsh words were probably not the best way to deal with these simple creatures. Especially not if he wanted to get some decent replies from them.

A few years had passed now. Nothing but a blink of eyes for a god like Bialikk.
Still, in this short period of time, he had grown reckless as no attempt was made to reach him despite the efforts of the mephitis to gather followers. So, when small groups of men began to climb the mountains with no visible goal, the Father Bird smiled.

Among those groups, many failed but one made it past the eternal snow, where the whispers of the wind are more screams than whispers. A great feat, full of courage and willpower. But a vein attempt, still, as no mortal was mean to succeed. Half on the way up, the group stopped, exhausted, sick and starving. The wind too strong for any fire to survive, they would freeze soon if they didn’t turn back.

But their leader didn’t wanted to abandon yet. The promess of untold power from a mysterious god was too strong for him, who was already the strongest of his tribesmen. So, failing to rally his companions, he continued to climb alone…and felt. The others looked at his broken body for a few minutes. Then, one of them, smaller than the rest but somewhat smarter, raise his arms to the sky and call a name.

Bialikk heard it and was please. A thick mist went down the mountain and, when it disappeared, the two mephitis were facing the men. The Dust Mephite spoke first.
Greatings, mortals. And congratulation to have arrive so far. Bialikk will not reveal himself yet, though, as you did not reach him by yourself as commanded. But he is proud of your courage, strength and, more than anything, of your faith in him.

The Air Mephite gave the Stone Feather to the wise human.
For the one who was brave enough to face danger alone but wise enough to call our lord when in real peril, Bialikk has a present. It symbolize his dedication to your people and your faith in him. Through this relic, you shall wield a great power over the winds, the weather and the clouds. Use it wisely to improve the daily life of your brothers and sisters, as you are now the Wielder of the Feather, head of Bialikk’s cult.
The Dust Mephite spoke again.
As for the other braves, you earned our lord’s sympathy. For the remainder of your life, he will grant you a part of his power and this, as long as you follow his way of life and spread it around you.
Then, the Air Mephite read the Way of Bialikk.

Be free from any servitude, material as well as spiritual

Do and take what you want, when you want it.

Respect the old and listen to their advices.

Protect the young and teach them what you know.

Explore the world and learn from it.

When you grow old, honored and rich, have children and teach them how to best you.

That’s all. You are free to choose to follow it or not. But shall you do it, you will find happiness and Bialikk will help you find it. In one hundred years, your children will try to reach the highest peak. And shall they succeed to please our lord as well as you did, he will have another gift for them.

((OCC : To sum this up :
Bialikk has given his artifact to a mortel. The artifact allows this mortel to launch once a day each of the nine spells from the Air Domain like a 25th level priest.
The mortal and the eight others who were with him are 4th level priests and will level up to 12th level by the end of this turn. They are to spread Bialikk's cult among the Cromagnons tribes. ))

Luni had been watching the mortal plane for a while now. People were born, lived, then died. It was all so very dull. He then saw The Everchanging God and his tribe and heard his voice. Luni spoke back to him.

Whispering to The Everchanging (although if the other Gods wanted to hear they could): Let us create a tribe of raging madmen, that will scourge across the land, pillaging and burning all in their path. Should they die, our fun will end, but we shall move onto a different tribe! What do you say?'

Jackie needed more food to support his now-large tribe. He began teaching the Apes how to plant trees and other plants, as well as how to irrigate them, making it easier to grow things in the desert, he also guided them in the creation of tools to help them do this. Finally he created a kind of plant that was edible and nutritious, but could grow in areas of little water in great numbers, thus making them adaptable to the desert. They would need more water than the average desert plant, but he dotted the lands around the desert with abundant oasis' so that they could grow them in more places. He then taught them how to plant farm and cultivate the plant he called the "Sands Bounty" or Desinai.

Bialikk

The Father Bird was pleased.
Now, his ideals were about to spread.
Now, his dream of paradise could begin.
But he had to be prepared: in 100 years, what was today a small band of holy men would become a large cult and they would expect him to keep his word if they succeed in reaching the highest peak.
So he put himself to work...
Having unlease his great spell, he took off and went to visit the world.

He saw the lizardfolks of Zanwar. They were fishing and prospering under the "tropics" of the North, adding tribes through warfare but mainly thanks to their large food supplies and tool crafting skills. Those ones would one day sail the seas, maybe?

He saw the fiery apemen from Jackie. Brutish barbarians but skillful dressers whose legions of beasts were feared, even from distant tribes of the West. The Ape Empire was mighty but crude and had destroyed their homeland. But it didn't really mattered :the taming of animals was a good idea and allowed them to expanse when needed.

In the East, he saw the well-organized tribe of the "Turtle Godess", whose people were healthy, far more than any he has seen so far, even "his" people. The men hunted, venting their aggression to useful purpose, while the women gathered plants, fruits and other materials to increase comfort. They even... what were they doing? Putting grains in the ground? Why for? What a dumb idea.

To the South, he saw some tribes of Neanderthals coming around without purpose or, at least, no logical purpose. He saw their anger but also their apathy, as Luni twisted their poor minds. But, behind their madness, he saw simple joy. That was scary...

He saw other tribes, more advanced than the average and deduced some of his brothers were behind it. He then looked at his own people and was saddened. He had to do something but didn't want to babysit his followers. They had to be free. They had to progress by themselves for now. To understand freedom, to enjoy its benefits but also to learn its responsibilities.

But something had to be done. So he went to Cale, the so-called First God, as he was the first to reach this plane and the creator of the Sun. He found him easily.

"Hello, brother, if you allow me to call you like that. I'm Bialikk, God of the Air, master of the wind and, with you, co-ruler of the skies. I want to ask for... coo-per-ation ? Will you hear me ?"

As more and more creatures faught, and more and more gods came into conflict, a single being emerged from their strife. As the combat increased, so did the power of this being... this... god... This is not a god of hate; combat is without emotion. This is not a god of chaos; combat requires a clear mind and an ordered body. He is not a god of war; combat is more personal. He is combat personified, a whirling, burning vortex of death, a systematic dispenser of glory and knowledge, and

In a single instant, his eyes snapped open, and he knew his place in this world. All these people, these gods, my brothers, my mortals. They do not realize the purpose of their strife. To make themselves better, whether it be through the intelligence of an attack... Images flashed through Varin's mind, of ambushes, sneak attacks, traps, and the like. Through the strength and veracity of the attacks... More images, these of violent beserkers tearing villages apart with their bare hands, taking seige weapon ammunition to the chest and laughing it off. Or through the dexterity and grace of an attack... A third set of images, these of catlike people gracefully gliding across a battlefield, ducking, dodging, and weaving across, killing their opponents in a almost artful flash of blade. These are the tools of personal glory and power. These are the things I must teach, to all mortals, and gods...
A group of cro-magnon men were fighting a group of neandrathal warriors in a pitched battle. A whistling sound was heard, and they all paused their fighting for a moment to see a meteor streaking through the sky. It crashed into the ground, and out rolled Varin in all his glory, tumbling up and dashing toward the battlefield without missing a beat, the battlefield now full of cowering men. He stopped on the front line, simultaneously drawing all of his weapons and unfurling his spiked and clawed hands.

He stares around at the two different groups, meeting the eyes of as many men as possible. "That... was the worst fighting I could possibly think of. I am Varin. I am one of the creatures you know as 'Gods'. I am here to teach you some combat. I care not for who you worship, or what species you come from. I am simply here, and I mean that, as in, my entire existence is based around, teaching the mortals of this plane the finer points of combat. Form a line. Or else. With those last two words, he waves every bit of danger and intimidation he knows into them.

The neanderthals approached the monument with awe and reservation. Never before had they imagined such a thing, let alone seen one. A few brave souls touched the object. For these few, the object was smooth and warm. There were no sharp edges and none retracted their hand in pain.

Their wonderment soon subsided as a storm began to pass over head. The neanderthals headed back into their caves, were they could easily see the caccoon, but were safe from the effects of the storm. The storm was fierce with rain and hail beating against the ground; the wind nearly toppled long standing trees. The storms greatest display was yet to come, as an enormous surge of energy erupted from the clouds and struck the metal encased god in a flash of light and sound. Never before had the Neanderthals seen such a sight; they were all frightened.

But soon their fear turned back into wonder as the caccoon began to shift, opening to reveal its contents. Standing up and opening her wings, Churnel emerged from the now smoldering remains of her caccoon. Three more bolts of lightning struck her body as she opened her eyes. Then she looked to the Neanderthals and motioned for them to approach. Though most did not heed the call, the tribal leader did walk out of the safety of his cave.

The hard hitting rain and the howling wind seemed to have no effect on the goddess, aside from her hair. The Neanderthal leader could barely stand in the storm and as he approached he nearly lost his footing, but when he was near enough to hear her speak, he stopped and looked upon her. Her voice broke through the storm, as if a gentle whisper, and all of the tribe could hear her.

Do not fear. I am here to guide you.

You, she pointed at the leader, I shall bestow upon my gifts.

Churnel began to shrink in size to stand face-to-face with the leader. She then placed upon his lips a kiss. Lightning fell from the sky and struck them. When the leader opened his eyes, he saw a baby boy in the arms of the woman.

This is our son. Care for him and he will grow into a leader.

Churnel handed the man the child. It did not seem any more godly than any other baby, but was not stirred by the storm.

Churnel then placed her hands over the center of her chest. Electrical sparks flew from the clouds and into her hands. She opened her hands to reveal a purple crystal fashioned into a necklace.

This will be the symbol of power for your people. It will be my way to speak with you until I return. It will also allow you to exert my will through your own, while protect you from the natural forces of lightning.

She then placed the artifact around the leader's neck. In an instant, he knew of the seasons and agriculture, life and death, and forging metal.

Use this knowledge to grow and change. And use this metal to help create the tools you will need. She pointed at the remains of her caccoon.

She looked up and noticed the storm was losing force.

I must go know, I will return when the time is right. She gave the man another kiss. Good-bye.

Churnel then flew up toward and into the clouds. As she broke through the top of the clouds and as the sun hit her skin, she transformed back into her caterpillar form. She then continued toward the celestial plane, pleased.

I'm not sure if I commited too many major acts, if I did I can alter what actually happened. But as for my major act I altered the race of this tribe (the baby will introduce these changes into the tribe) to have natural electrical resistance and can channel electrical power naturally, though limited, at will. I created an artifact that provides a boost to electrical immunity and provides spellcasting, hopefully this is a minor act. Also hoping this is a minor act, I left my mithral-like metal substance (from caccoon) for them to forge into tools, weapons, and armor (unlike mithral this metal can be used to make weapons and tools). And I taught the tribe how to live more civilized (they can still be cave dwelling, just with crops and such).

Please let me know if I did anything wrong.

(OOC : I will discuss with Baxter190 via PM. If something big comes out of it, one of us will post it on the board. For Ipphli, let's say Zanwar saw Bialikk when the bird was returning "home".

Bialikk was flying back to what he concidered his territory, still thinking about his discussion with Cale, when suddenly, a voice bursted in the air.
"You! Wait! We should talk!"

The Father Bird slowed until he just hovered in the sky. He saw a reptilian creature approching. When the distance shortened, he recognize the eyes of Zanwar, the golden wyrm he met in the Hallowed Grounds.

"-Yes, we "should". Greatings, big snake.
I saw you've taken good care of the scaly ones.
Those mortals will grow strong, of that I'm convinced.
So, what do you wanna talk of ?"

Jackie

Now that his people were fed and growing, he needed them to be properly prepared. And so he taught them to craft unique weapons of all sorts, and how to create ranged weapons, and better armors to protect themselves, but he realized they needed something... more. He traveled deep into the desert and extended his influence outward, looking for a solid material that could be used to forge weapons and armor that would be the envy of all the races.

"-I could but would not. Not as long as your people do not harm my priests, their families and their clans. I don't want to be enemy with my brothers and will help them if I can. But I made a deal with the mortals who trust in me."

"-But maybe you want more from me. If so, don't hesitate to tell me. I may refuse but I may accept as well."

Bialikk's Free Tribes

Mashlar Wind-walker glanced to the West as the Sun decreased. He had always liked this beautiful view over the plain, where the Free Tribes prospered since generations, living harsh but peaceful lifes.

But recently, this peace had been clouded. Oh, he was not the one who would curse it, as he, the Wielder of the Feather, was the one who beneficiated the most from the troubles. And after all, those troubles weren't that bad. Since Bialikk had made the deal with him and his companions, each of them had wandered the region, showing the gifts of the Father Bird, teaching His way and enjoying the respect of their fellow men. The respect and the admiration...and all the material advantages which go with them.

"-Come to bed, you'll get cold, honey."

The voice of Nuliah, his last mate, drew a smile on the face of the old man. He had met her recently but, as all the others before, she had immediately felt for the priest, despite the fact that Mashlar was more three time her age.

"-Thanks, my love but I'm fine. I'm use to it."
"-Your travels, I guess."
"-You guess well. I feel the need to look at the world one last time each day, before the light disappears. Who knows? I can die tonight. You're quite demanding for an old heart like mine. And if I must die, I want to see what my people achieved before leaving."

The arms of the young woman swing around the priest’s chest as Nuliah spoke.
"-They have achieved a lot. My mother told me of our life before Bialikk came. We are not as smart as those other tribes the travelers speak of but we are braver, that I know. And thanks to you, we live well."
"-You're too kind. I merely regulate the sky's mood."
"-And that's already a lot. Even the land thanks you. It has become so generous with us that the tribes have stopped fighting among themselves for food as, because of this gentle weather, the beasts wait longer before leaving to the south, letting us hunt more than ever."
"-Yeah, about that, we should be careful. I'm going to talk to the chiefs about it at the next meeting of the clans. We don't want to exhaust our supply of meat or to make the herds avoid this land."

Since he return from the mountain, twenty years ago, walking in the wind like the Air and Dust spirits, Mashlar had used the artifact well, making rain or making the snow melt when needed, heating or cooling the air when traveling among the tribes of the region. This helped the land to grow friendly in some ways; thought winter was still a harsh period.

Having enough resources for their basic needs and even more, the clans had stopped attacking each other, accepting to meet at each full moon and to speak, negotiate and even to exchange some items on a daily basis:
Beast's hides, bone and stone tools, rare meats, medicinal herbs, river fish and even weapons. The knowledge, skill and craft from each tribe had strengthened every other who had something to give.

At the same time, the eight original priests had recruited followers and, as Bialikk's dogma was a simple one, those adepts had quickly learned and recruited students for them, so that the cult of Bialikk was now well established in every tribe. And he, Mashlar Wind-Walker, was seen as a god for what he had achieved through the Stone Feather.
He was an example for his people. This thought made him smile as the sun disappeared behind the Hawk's Peak.

"-Yes, Father Bird, you didn't lie: I found happiness."
"-What did you mutter?”
"-Nothing, honey. Hé... Is it me or you've put up some weight?”
"-It has been three months now. About time you notice it."
"-Seems I will have to teach something to somebody, as He said."
"-What?”
"-Nothing... let's return inside. It's getting cold."

As he said that, the Wielder of the Feather cast a powerful South Wind to heat slightly his surroundings. Maybe he could settle here for a while.
After all, he had still to honor the last command of his God.

It was several hours later when Varin had finished with the training of his new troops. They had learned well. Varin watched as the hundred or so new troops trained together, learned together, sweat together live together.

Varin could see that none of them really appreciated the feel of battle before they met him. The graceful movements, the adrenaline pounding through their veins.... Varin simply smiled and sighed, a peaceful, contented sigh.

He held up his lowest right hand, a sign for them to stop and listen. He motioned them to gather around him. He still stood a foot taller than the tallest of them. He gathered a breath, more for their sake than his, and began. "You have trained hard, and while it has only been a short time, I believe you are good warriors. I have a few more simply teachings to impart upon you:

Lead yourself and your tribe with honor and wisdom. Always strive to improve yourself, in every area, for that path leads to victory. Gather wisdom and knowledge, for they may lead to unexpected advantages. The business of other men is the business of other men, do not interfere unless they interfere with you. Treat all as equals unless they prove themselves otherwise. Obey your superiors, treat your inferiors with compassion. Gain for one is gain for all. Remember these, and spread them. Tell this to all, regardless of religion or species, my philosophy is simple: you improve yourself and others through combat and strife, and all stagnate when neither of those exist. Go forth, and spread my word."

With that, Varin dissapeared, leaving the hundred men to spread his word. They do so quickly and effectively, traveling between different tribes, and spreading the combat techniques and dogma of Varin, God of Combat.

Mort

While most gods worked on great plans, Mort still spent most of his time teaching his small private tribe, and he started to become quite fond of them. Every time he thought he knew everything about the simple creatures, he found out about another odd quirk of them. He showed the nomadic tribes the best spots to stay during the different seasons, and taught them how to build more permanent housings, and they eagerly listened.
As time passed however, even the secluded tribe began to hear about other wonders in the world, and after chasing away a messenger mephit, Mort remembered that he wasn't the only one of his kind on this world. He opened his eyes to the rest of the world again, and was alarmed by the changing of the world. He realised that if he and his followers didn't want to be pushed aside or extinguished, his word would have to be spread, too.

The God returned to his tribe, and he called four Neanderthals to him. He was patricularily fond of these four, as they were talented, clever, and loyal to him.
My dear friends, you all know that among your tribe, you are the closest to me. And you have probably also noticed that you have been alive for a long time fol much longer than any other of your tribe, while still staying young. And clever as you are, I wouldn't be surprised if you have found a connection between them. Yes, I have been expanding your lifespans.
You are my link to your people. Whenever I teach or explain something to you four, it's never long before the rest of the tribe picks it up. Everytime I noticed your journey on to the Realm neared, I taught of somethin else I wanted to educate your people in, and I delayed that journey a little bit for my ease.
And like you were my voice to your tribe, I want you to become my voice in the world. You must spread my word.

Mort paused for a second, and Gimble, the most clever of the four, spoke.
But Lord, how do want us to do that? We might be educated in the magics you showed us, but we are still frail and mortal when we are not under your protection.

Mort smiled and he touched each of them on their chest.
A good question, Gimble. But I had thought of that. I have imbued you with some of my power, delaying your End for as long as I want to. You will stay young and fit to do the task I've given you. And while you may think I'm far away from you, I'm never really here either. I will hear you everytime you call my name, and I'll be there.

Now that we're done with those details, I want each of you to take a part of my followers with you. We aren't with many, but you're with enough to survive. Go to other tribes, spread my words and wisdom there. The Realm will be filled with souls, and maybe I will meet you there.

The four Neanderthals were silent for a while. Then Gimble spoke again:
But where do you want us to go?
Mort grinned widely this time, something that he had never done before.
You ask a lot of questions, Gimble. I like that in you. But I don't think I'll answer that question.
---

A year passed as the tribe prepared itself for the journey.
The dawn before the start of their journeys, all of Mort's followers massed together. Their numbers had grown considerably over the year, with a good hundred of Neanderthals standing before Mort. Mort ensured his people that he would still watch over them even though he wouldn't be near them any more, and he gave them his blessing to distinguish them from all others. They would age slower, live longer, and their hair became white like his robes.

Then the Disciples of Mort left, each taking a quarter of the tribe with them, the cattle split in four equal shares as well.
Lut, a strong and tough Neanderthal, took his part to the North.
The quick-witted Jan went to the East.
Kir, a powerful priest, left in Southern direction.
This left the South to Gimble, the First Disciple.
The Disciples spread their belief and culture over the land, and Mort was pleased. Now he knew that his people prospered, he could turn his attention to his fellow gods.

Whoo, long post. To summarize:
Mort gets 4 of his most loyal followers (Probably 4 lvl7 clerics with the Death domain), uses a Major act to make them immortal (They don't age, and are incredibly tough to kill, if not impossible, unless another deity interferes) He orders them to take a part of his followers and spread his word. They prepare, and before they leave, he uses another Major Act to expand his people's lifespan (they age slower and are less vulnerable to diseases).

Bialikk's Mephits
Smichak screamed of rage and frustration as he came back to one of the cave he and his colleague shared when they weren't on mission for Bialikk. Fisbak's eyebrows rose as the Dust Mephit punched the rock before jumping around in pain, cursing those stupid Neanderthals.
"-You met Neanderthals? The boss told you not to venture that far, don't he? And stop crying, it's not that painful."
"-I KNOW !! But those stupid, hairy mortals are getting on my nerves. Like it wasn't enough to be thrown away each time we encounter a god!! Now, even these weaklings are making fun of me !!"
"-Poor thing... You got beaten by a mere mortal? Did you forget not to get in a fistfight when you got magic ?"
"-Really funny, man. This one was not a mortal. Well, it wasn't a god either. But it sure hit hard !! I nearly died, you know !!"
"-We can't die, stupid. Merely be banished."
"-Even worst!! Dust Plane is boring, you know."
So, where was it ? Which tribe?
"-An new one. But with its chief's reputation, it's growing fast. I thought that man could be interested and went to speak. You know, stuff as usual : I offered power and welfare, let him know Bialikk was kind of cool about whorship duties and all."
"-...And then, he slammed the "door" ?"
"-He slammed ME !! And his whole ape-f***er tribesmen threw rocks at me when laughing !!"
The Dust Mephit began a long ranting of curse and insults against the Neanderthals. His colleague, calmer, analyzed the problem. A tribe led by a powerful mortal was coming? Yet, it was far away and it won't be a threat for the Wielder of the Feather... or at least it shouldn't.
But Mashlar Wind-walker was old and, when he will die, strife will rise among the Free Tribes. It was necessary to find another wielder. And soon. Like right now. Fisbak the Air Mephit took of.
"-If the boss call, tell him I have business to do with his clergy."
"-What kind of business ?"
"-The inheritance kind."

Bialikk's Clergy is now organized. There are 3 Wielders of the Feather. The oldest is the actual Wielder while the 2 others are elected by the rest of the priests to succeed him. When one die, the clergy gather as many priests as possible at the next meeting of the clans to elect a successor, who has to be younger than the 2 remaining wielders. Nothing used here, maybe a minor act but, as my clerics were the only really unified body, it was not a surprise for them to get organized after 25 years of Happy Hippy Ride.

Ok, i just realized I may have missed an option, or left a detail out.

Major Acts
1 - imbue race with magical powers
2 - create artifact
3 - create mythral like metal "heaven metal" is what I am calling it

Does teaching a race count as a Major Act? If so, I will change imbuing the race with magical powers as a Ceremony.

In any case I will need to create a wonder (and maybe do a ceremony)...I will wait for a response before I make an IC post.

A renegade witchdoctor of Zanwar's tribe has established himself as a ruler, in the central continent. Away from the island, this witch, named Dumazzi has a pact with Loon. Dumazzi is beginning to establish himself as Lord of the Silver City, as he is one of the only mortals in the entire planet as powerful as he is.

Jackie notices his tribe has experienced slightly higher death rates. This would not be so worrying except that they are all under mysterious circumstances. Investigation could lead to something important.(hint)

Undead have risen in Cale's territory. They are vampires. Although they have not fed yet, they could eventually cause the extermination of a good portion of all tribes in Cale's area. Action taken now could prevent deaths without killing the vampires. Some vampiric victims have told wisemen of Cale's tribe they are capable of sustaining themselves on certain kinds of cattle such as sheep.

Varin's tribe has conquered and over spread their territory. Six hundred thousand heavily militarized individuals have attracted many enemies. They are still the strongest in their region, but they face a long era of hunger. However, some have suggested a new agrarian life style for themselves. In addition, the warriors have domesticated canines.

So, turing to his followers of them cro-magnum, he looked to his priests, and taught them how to summon sunlight, and how to cast a light in their fires that would repel the beings. He next taught them not to shun the victims, but instead to help them, and raise cattle for them to feed upon, allowing the victims to survive off the blood, while his follwers ate the what was left of the bovine. Finally,. he taught them how to cast a purifying light, that would heal them of diseases and when put over a wound, would heal them off a vampires bite, or other such diseases.

He told some of his followers that were taught the protection spells to go to the bird god's people, and teach them the spells to protect themselves. Finally, he sent the son of his great leader, a powerful priest, and one of his most powerful warriors to go unto the vampires, under hsi protection of the spells. When they came unto the vampires, they told them of Cale's message. If they were to honor Cale, he would protect them, and give them the blood of his enemies, and help them survive the sunlight.

Bialikk's Free Tribes

As soon as they heard about the undeads, many of the Father Bird's followers volonteered to mount a "crusade" against these abominations. Among them, lot's of youngs, hoping to explore the continent when hunting vampires. Armed with silex spears, stone axes and thick hides, 500 hunters departed, led by a high priest (10th level) and his 20 adepts (4th level).

Not as tolerant as Cale, the three Wielders decided that, should a vampire come in the Free Tribes's land, he was to be destroyed on sight, unless he was escorted by a Fire Priest.

At the same time, craftmen, as well as every women, began to make strange dreams about hot, soft and hand-make cloths. Some became obsessed by this idea and their obsession was fueled by Bialikk, as the Father Bird poored inspiration of workshop design in their heads every night. The massive wooled mountain sheep and goats, previously killed for meat and hide, were now approached kindly by the people.

Jackie

With the crude armor and weapons, and swelling numbers, Jackie sought to expand. His tribe prepared armies and tamed creatures to conquer more tribes. Jackie appeared to them, and he presented them with new strange weapons. There were two main types and other random sorts, mostly they were long shafts of wood tipped with a hard, cold, gray material that was made into a sharpened point, and a solid piece of the same material with two sharp edges and a more rounded but still sharp point, with a smaller round part at the bottom, wrapped in leather, to grip it. Jackie taught them how to wield these weapons. The apes also put their crude armors on their tamed animals.

The armies marched across the desert, heading for oasis's and other tribes that existed in and beyond the desert. With Jackie at their head.

Cale

With the vampires now serving him, he branded the truely loyal marks with a symbol upon their left shoulder, a fireball. As for the sell swords, he marked their right arms when they served him, but the mark was removed when they no longer did. He gave the left marked vampires protection from the sunlight, and the right marked that worked for him protection as well, but no protection to those that refused to work for him. He followed it up, by giving them cattle to draw blood from, and teaching them how summon fireballs and call the wind ina manor unlike his priests, to use against their enemies. Cale next decreed that the left marked ones were his followers, and any that harmed them might as well have been harming his cro-magnum followers, and sent this out to the bird gods students as well as his own tribes. He then sent out his true sworn to scout out the outlying areas for colonization, and spy on any civilizations that may live nearby.

Summary:
Branded Cale's loyal vampires, and taught the sell swords and loyals how to wield arcane magic, a much more violent form of magic.

Wela and Keno

Wela watched the evolution of the Turtle Tribe for a while. She saw that was good. They were already semi-sedentary. In a few generations, they would live in permanent settlements.

The tribesmen regularly made offerings to the spirits. To reward them, Wela gifted the women with increased fertility and taught a few selected individuals to make superior pottery.

(Ritual: Increased fertility.

As he watched over his new followers, he noticed a cro-magnum tribe had become segregated, with men and women doing different work. Upon further inspection, Cale realized it was the work of another god. Appearing before the god responsible, Cale said, "Hello, I am Cale, the god of the Cro-magnum, Crafter of the sun, ruler of the vampires, master of the season of heat and fire, and god of fire. And you are?"

He then gave her the offer, "The cro-magnum worship you as well, in addition to me and Bialikk. I propose we form a pantheon, for them to worship. I originally claimed the cro-magnum as mine, and as such, I shall be the ruler. Bialekk shall be worship as the sky god, and the great teacher. You shall be worshipped as the community god, and the god of spirits. Deal?"

Luni looked upon the a fortune teller, which he had recently made an agreement with. The agreement was that Luni would bestow great intelligence to the fortune teller, allowing them to see into the future, in return for spreading rumours, making mad predictions and generally causing mental havoc on any unsuspecting thing. To do this, Luni crafted an artifact. An artifact of pure madness. It was a perfectly round crystal ball and when gazed upon, images were displayied. What exactly the image was, was different for each and every onlooker, for it displayied there greatest fear and burned the image onto their mind forever, driving them mad. "Alright," agreed Cale, and a message was sent forth amoung the cro-magnum tribes, of the new pantheon. They were empowered with the blessigns of the three gods, and soon enough, all the tribes of cromanum were united, under a single banner, a single civilization. From the great, sprawling mountains of the east, to the border lands of the west, to the sea to the north, to the grand south, was a great country, the country of Xiloscient.

They were blessed with Wela's teachings, with the large fields of crops, and the familiy and peasents at the heart of society. There were great learners who traveled the country, tutored by the winged god. And at the top was the ruling class, empoered by divine magic, were the priests of the gods, the rulers of the villages who honored Cale and the other gods of the pantheon, and the vampire warriors who honored Cale and wielded arcane magic, and destroyed their enemies.

Used a major act to bring the country together.

Varin saw the plight of his people, the hunger of their children, the starvation of their women. As he looked down, he sighed. He blinked his eyes, and appeared in a meeting of the strongest war-leaders of his tribe. They stared agape at the newcomer, their six-armed god. He stared at them for a moment, and began.

"Long have I watched you grow, prosper, and change. I have seen you conquer your enemies, but I have seen you squander your resources, not consolidate them, take too much territory, careless, pricey mistakes. Therefore, I am granting you cunning and wisdom, to prevent these mistakes in the future." With a wave of his hand, the men feel their minds expand rapidly, able to grasp concepts they had not thought of before. Varin continued,

"I have seen your new companions. They are loyal and hardy beasts, but not as well bred for war, and for peace, as I would like. Therefore, I am changing them to a better form." With a quick breath, the canines of the region grew in size, stature, intelligence, and loyalty.

With that, Varin left the place. He quickly traveled to the land of Xiloscient, a small travel south-east. Looking up to the sky, he called up all of his mental energies. I wish to speak to the head god of this land! I have a small proprosal to make. It involves the safety of both of our peoples.

Mort looked down on Cale's lands, and he was both intrigued and disgusted by what he saw. The dead walking again was something he had never even imagined. He turned to Cale, and said: What I think of them? They're abominations. They,
he continued, pointing to the vampires loyal to Cale, are natural. They're just infected, they cannot help, but them, - now he referred to the mercenary vampires - they disgust me. They have no soul, nothing. They're merely walking due to the ectoplasm running through their bodies.
Why do you let these creatures live? They're not loyal to you, and they'll turn against you for the highest bidder. You should destroy them while they're still with few. Believe me, nothing good can come of these creatures.

Bialikk, when asked for to join the Pantheon
Having agreed peace terms with the Great Wyrm of the Lizardfolks, the Father Bird eards calls from Cale. The First God was asking for unity. A small child god had already agreed to his terms and, as an ally of Cale, Bialikk was asked to do the same.

As a proud god of freedom, Bialikk didn't liked hierarchy. To force him or his people to submit was not an option. But what could he do ? The First God had used a large part of his power to link the Chromagnon race to him.

"-Cale!! I thought we had an agreement. Why did you ally with me if it was to force dominance over my flock ?!!"

"-The Free Tribes are free, just that. They are free to pray me, you or any other god. They are free to go and free to do as they are pleased. I'm looking after that!! And I saw your so-called united civilization. Laws? Castes? Why don't we have hereditary rulers as well?!! Merit is the only value of a being for me.

Your boldness was what made me admire you, for you were the first of us to reach this world. And for that, I seek peace with you. But peace is not worth slavery. My people will not bow to Xiloscient's united rules, for I preach for no other rule than honor and respect.

You bargained your divine power for control over the Chromagnon, though. Another bold act and a wise one. I respect wisdom and for that, I accept to join the Pantheon.
My people will honor you as the First God. I will even ask them to assist your people if needed. But The Free Tribes will remain free.

So, yeah, the Free Tribes will be part of Xiloscient.
They will help if there is a crisis, they will even pay tribute to get the right to travel across the whole country.
But they will not be part of the casts system, as it is against the freedom preached by Bialikk, and on their lands, no taxes or written laws shall be applied. You can see that as a autonomous region with no independance claim.
Bialikk will ease the weather for the whole country with minors acts but his people will come first (and by "his people", I mean any of his true followers)

Later, when Varin arrived, though not asked for, Bialikk appeared at the sides of Cale and Wela. He bow slighly before the First God then spoke to Varin.
This land might sometime be torn a little but we agreed to work together to build a common vision of paradise under Cale.
I am Bialikk, the Father Bird, god of air and teacher of the free souls.
Who are you ?

Then, as a call suddenly burst in his head.
"-Hé ? Did you eard that ? Should we go ?

Wela greeted her fellow gods.

"Yes I also heard the call. It's from the Everchanging. He seems nice enough. Maybe he wants to join the Pantheon?"

Before going to the meeting, Wela had gifted her people with a longhouse she called the Hall of Spirits. The longhouse is a sacred site where the barrier between the worlds is thin and the energies of the world flow freely (chi, ectoplasm, mana, etc.). All kinds of rites addressed to either Wela or the ancestral spirits may be performed inside and consequently empowered. Some prophets even decide to stay in the Hall several days at a time to get in touch with the Divine. Since the site is a demiplane in itself, the interior of the longhouse is much larger than it appears from outside.

"I am truely sorry you do not wish to unite the tribes of the cro-magnum. I'm bringing them together, because I fear for them. My vampire scouts, have showed me shomething. Beyond our borders is a great army, an army of apemen. They are blessed with armor and weapons, and a warlike, savage people. And, they are on the warpath. I believed that only to save the cro-magnum was to unite them under a common banner. Under the protection of my warrior-mage vampires, and our divine priests, would we be able to protect the cro-magnum from slavery and death. You speak of freedom now, but I speak for freedom forever. What is the price of a country compared to the deathes of thousands, and the possible extiction of an entire species?" explained Cale, hoping to win the bird god over to his ppoint of view.

He then continued, "As for the Cast system, I only say that, because that is probably how the people shall be. The rulers will most likely honor me most, as I'm the one who claimed the cro-magnum, and gave them power over one of the most dangerous things in the world, fire. They will no doubt honor you and beseech you for wisdom, and pray to Wela for advice on how to help their people. The wandering teachers and philoshers will honor you first of course. Think abou it, your the one who taught them first, of course they will whorship you the most. Wela they will honor second, becuase she has brought so much knowledge unto the common people and helped improved their lives, and myself last, as I brought light into the world with the sun, and taught the first wielders of the arcane. The common people will honor Wela th most, as she has done more for them than either of us combined."

After speaking his mind, Cale turned his attention to mort, and said, "Of course they are abominations, and will turn on me. That is why I only branded the ones loyal to me. The unloyal that side with others will loose their brand, and will be harmed by sunlight, which I have taught my priests how to conjure at will. However, if you have an idea for dealing with them, please tell me what it is?"

Churnel

Many seasons and years had passed since the birth of the one they called Elra. And it was soon time for him to ascend to the rank of clan leader, king. He was still young, but his father could feel the holy power imbued in him and felt it was important for the tribe to have a powerful leader.

A great ceremony was held in Elra's honor. A great celebration lasting many days. They worshipped and danced, with music and frivolity. And they feasted greatly upon the fruits of their labor using the tools the had been taught to make to grow the food the had been taught to grow. On the last day of the celebration, the young man stood in front of the entire tribe. He held a staff, fashioned from the heaven metal with lightning bolts carved into the haft from tip to tip; it was a symbol of leadership. His father approached him and removed the artifact that the goddess Churnel had given him, the very artifact that had allowed him to speak with the goddess for these many years, and placed it around his son's neck.

It was at this point that Churnel began to feel a great power surge within her, her people's ceremony had unlocked greater power within the god. She had become more intuned with all electrical power and the power of magnetism. Lightning no longer simply just arced from on hair to another, it now traveled the entire length of her body: in a spiral. She could feel the push and pull of magnetic energy and she was happy.

As a gift for her new found powers, Churnel sent energy from the heavens, carving out a nearby mountain, one uninhabited by the tribesmen. Within it, she created a palace and temple. It would be a symbol of her people's devotion and the throne for all their future kings.

---

Her people then began to grow, spreading to cover more area and building more homes. Teaching all the power of electricity and of their goddess. And as they began to expand, the innate magical abilities within the core tribe began to also spread.

Meanwhile, in the Pantheon, the gods notice the disintegration of the empire. The primitive communications systems of the Chro-Magnon has lead to a much more difficult time ruling an actual imperialistic state. Tribute to the leading Caleits is inefficient. A creature known as Ludar the Wind Runner approaches the Pantheon. And apart from their disgusting nature, they cause little harm to me. So I'm willing to make a proposal to you: I'm willing to spend some time looking into the nature of their curse and dispel it, so they can lead normal mortal lives, with a conscience and an end. They will no longer need their Lord's protection to be safe from the sun that way, and can live without the need for blood - sure they're feeding on animals now, but in times of anarchy, how long will it take before most of them step out of line?

In exchange for this, I would like your followers to become a part of 'this great afterlife I made', as you called it. I don't want to lay a claim on your followers' souls, in the contrary: I want to do this for their own good. Most of our powers don't reach inside the other place where the mortal souls journey to, and we don't know a lot about it. I do have full access to my Realm, on the other hand. I think it's safer if we know that our followers are actually rewarded after their deaths.

While he's not speaking, Mort is still attending the meeting. Just reminding you all. :smalltongue:

"I do not wish my people to live in an empire. The federation of tribes is a good idea. This way, the people do not loose their culture, yet gain a lot from trading.

I do not like war. Nothing positive comes out of it. However, it seems the witches to the North are threatening everyone, and I cannot let my people die because of some petty quarrel. The wild shaper druids are ready to fight for the tribe. The priestesses will stay behind to invoke the spirits."

Your right, they aren't innocent...they're maytrs for defending themselves, their families and their freedoms!" exclaimed Cale, becoming more and more agitated. Finally, he told the pin stripe clad god, "Begon, we want not you here, you come here univited and spread lies and deciet!" And with that, the wind about Cale picked up, his toga billowing in the wind. Wings of fire sprouted from his back, and his hands were coated in fire, the sun itself seeming to glow more intesely upon him, and, glaring down at Jacki, he declared, voice dripping with venom, "Leave."

Luni

'All this talk makes my brain hurt.' Groaned Luni. For the first time since awaking he wasn't madly happy, but more confused. 'I don't care for your petty squabbles!' He shouted angrily. 'I live for the insane. I'm insane to live. Call me when you're done bickering.' And with a growl, Luni left the other Gods to sort out their differences.

Luni was bored, bored and angry. A deadly combination for the God of insanity. After observing the various tribes and people of the world Luni had an idea to cheer himself up. Slowly, but surely, he convinced various members of tribes and towns to begin a ceremony. The festival of fools, where everyone would pretend to be fools for the day and send offerings to Luni. While this didn't directly help Luni, it did help him feel belonged and it was nice (for Luni anyway) to see mentally healthy people abandoning logic and reason for a day. Several years later, with the ceremony a normal occurance between several tribes and towns, Luni decided to create a Wonder. Thinking hard, he decided on his Wonder. Using his Godly powers, Luni created a cave full of beautifully smooth crystals. The cave was huge and full of these smooth crystals. Luni then created a fake miner to spread the tale of the amazing Crystal Cave. This fake miner would show a small beautiful crystal to listeners and tell them of the cave, telling them great riches lay there. Once inside the cave, any unsuspecting miner would find himself looking at a hall of mirrors, dozens of images of himself spread about the cave with no exit visible. Of course, being of Luni's design, it was meant to cause miners to go mad when they couldn't find the exit and had to stare upon themselves for great lengths of time.

Summary: Created a ceremony to recognise me as the God of insanity, doesn't benefit me much, just gets me recognised. Created a Wonder (The Crystal Caves) to drive anyone who enters mad.

Jackies eyes hardened, his voice and mouth grew tight. No. I will not have my followers empire decried by a fool who only sees what he wishes to! Perhaps you have spent too long staring at your creation, for you are blind to the truth before you. There are no slaves in my empire, merely tribesmen, I offer everyone a chance to become a member, an EQUAL member of my peoples empire either willingly or by force. Many are fools, like you, who cannot see any other path and stand against us, and we defeat them and take them as our own anyway. They are not innocents who stand before us, but fools who cannot see beyond their own arrogance to ensure peace and safety for them and theirs.

Jack stood his ground, his cigar clenched firmly in his teeth and his hands are fists at his sides.

Bialikk's Free Tribes (Beginning Turn 2)

As the newborn Sun Empire collapsed, the Free Tribes were relieved. They would remain free. Less than a month had passed since the last imperial messenger reached the region when, at the meeting of the clans, the Wielders spoke to assembled chiefs to tell them of a new great alliance.
The Federation of Xilscient was meant to unite the tribes of Chromagons.
For now, it was to be a loose alliance for trade and mutual defense. But it would eventually grow. As a mean of unity, a solar calendar had been made.

The year 1 was to be the date of the arrival of Ludar, avatar of the Gods.

During the first 10 years, the Free Tribes achieved impressive textile craft, their art combined with the navigation knowledge of Ludar allowing them to build a fleet of small sailing coastal boats for Cale's and Wela's followers. Fishing, trade and communication by see and river became much more efficient.

Also, the mephits of Bialikk were not seen during this time. So, when the Dust Mephit finally came, it was a surprise even for the new 1st Wielder.

"-Our Lord has a task for you, Wielders. You might not like it..."
"-Bialikk's will is our pleasure. Look at what his dreams brought us !!"
The man showed three small vessels on a nearby river. They were carrying huge loads of cloths as a priest blowed in their sails to make them advance faster.
"-Well... You will have to cut your hands and feet, when the whole tribes sing the name of the Father Bird.
"-Are you joking, messenger ?"
"-I'm not the funny mephit. Ask Fisbak for that.
"-...when ?"
"-Next full moon. You only. The two other wielders will have to cure your wounds as your blood will spill on the dirt. Then, you will hit the spot with lighting as Bialikk allows you to use.

The ceremony was quiet and morbid but the Free Tribes did it as asked. Not such a celebration as a necessity. In the Hallowed Grounds, Bialikk gurgled as his divine body was infused with new power :"-Stone...Earth...Dirt... it's mine... Thank you, mortals... Thank you"

1 Ceremony and 1 Major Act to get the Earth Domain.

Also, the travelers of the Free Tribes are now spread in each tribe of Xilscient, being merchant or weavers. As such, they begin building sailing vessels for fishing and exploration.

"All I want is for my people to prosper. I think this newfound stability will do some good to the region."

Mort could understand that, although he personally preferred not to have such strong binds to certain causes at this stage. He recalled having heard something about Wela's followers lately.
Yes, I've heard your followers are doing well. One of my disciples, Kir, has been spending a lot of time to get information about them, as he's quite fascinated by their magic. I've been trying to explain him that I could easily get him all the information he wanted, but unfortunately, while probably being the wisest of my Disciples, he's also the most stubborn.
He was barely done talking, when Cale addressed him again.

"I will happily help you get rid of the vampires, but only the sell-swords. I will not knowingly send my followers to their deathes. Also, I will happily have the cro-magnum go to your after life. I here its so good, people are dying to get in."

Mort chuckled at the last words, and couldn't resist making a pun on his own.
And here I thought a Sun God would take matters like these serious. You sure are showing yourself in a different light now.

Enough jokes, though. I'll get to work at once.
And after giving a polite nod at everyone - including the disgruntled Jackie -, he descended upon the mortal world again. He was happy to leave: What was happening in the Hallowed Grounds that day would have dire consequences, he was sure about that.
----

Mort took shape in the hut Kir was currently residing in. It had been many years since Kir had taken the lead of one quarter of Mort's followers, but physically, he hadn't changed a bit ever since, although you could see in his eyes that he wasn't the young Neanderthal he seemed to be.
He was intently staring into the distance, until he felt Mort's presence. All the other three of the god's disciples were quick speakers, and they would have immeadiately asked if they could be of any service to Mort. Kir did not, however. He just turned around and looked curiously at his deity. It was a quality that Mort really liked about the priest.
My dear Disciple. From what I've been hearing, you've been doing research about these undead.
-Undead, my Lord? Kir asked, confused.
-The dead rising again.
-Oh. Yes, I have. I have been putting some of these magics to good use. Ectoplasm is the easiest energy to manipulate with your magic, Lord. Did I do wrong in that?
-No, no. Well, yes, in some way. I'd prefer it if you didn't use it too much. But I need your knowledge on this subject.
I'm more than happy to share it with you over dinner.
Mort was a little impatient, and would've liked to just look into his thoughts to find the knowledge - especially since he had no need for food of any kind. But when he saw the pleased look on his Disciple's face, he smiled and nodded.
That's fine, Kir.

Bialikk's Free Tribes

Argon the Zealous... That was his name. He was the oldest of the actual Wielders but also the most useless since this sad night.
Why did Bialikk ask him to do that ? To sacrifice his own hands and feet. For what power ? And to use against which ennemies ? Argon was sick of being called "The Zealous" for his devotion to the Father Bird's command. There was so much irony in this title that some days, he HATED Bialikk for this.

The bird god had given him everything...only to take it away in one night. And to left him, honored as a god but useless. He needed help even to drink, he who before commanded to the winds !!
"-That's not fair !!!"
"-Yeah, I said the same thing this morning. Hi, by the way.

Argon looked at Smichak as the Dust Mephit made his way in the hutt.
"-What are you doing here ? You come to taunt the old man ?"
"-So cynic... Did I offer to shake hands ?
"-You better not"
"-Or what ? You're going to hit me ? Or ask one of your colleagues to give you a hand ?
"-Yeah, ok, I get it, you're in a bad mood, as usual. So, what does Bialikk want this time ? My head ?"
"-He doesn't want anything from you. In fact, he is going to give you something as a reward.
"-Mercifull bird... Ok, make it quick and painless.
"-Hey !! You're not the one sacrificing his soul to avoid eternal torment, are you ?
"-What ?"
"-Our Lord told me that, should I refuse, he would send me in Neanderthal territory to convert someone half-god.
"-You prefer annihilation over THAT ?"
"-You try doing that for 10 years and we will speak about it, ok ?!! So now, get up already.
"-...You funny."
-----

"-So, you're Bialikk ?
"-And you are Argon, the Dust Mephit. Nothing to say to me ?
"-I don't know... Thanks for making my life a living hell those past 2 years ? I really appreciated being handless and feetless"
"-Seems Smichak chose well. You're nearly as positive thinker as him.
"-Wait... THE MEPHIT chose me for the sacrifice ?!!"
"-After he tried to convert the Neanderthal without my accord, I made it his punishement to go back and try again. He failed during 10 years before begging to retire. Dust plane is a dull place and I know he would have regret his decision soon or late. I needed faith to get knew power and an excuse to terminate him. I let him chose the way he will organize the ceremony, using him as a catalyst for my new powers.
"-So the sacrifice wasn't needed ?"
"-Of course not. Some gods achieve the same having their followers dancing around honeytree or bonefire. It was just Smichak being... well, being Smichak.

As I get the Earth Domain, my priests are now able to use the spells of this domain. Also, Smichak, the Dust Mephit messenger got whipped to allow Argon to become the new messenger (minor act, no profit or lose)

Thanks to the teachings of Ludar, the people of Wela became renowned breeders.

At the time of the Harvest, the people of the Turtle Tribe and the neighbouring clans gathered to feast, dance and honour the Goddess of the Hearth. The celebrations lasted five days, of which one was dedicated to the Ancestral spirits.

Meanwhile, the priestesses of Wela built a modest shrine to their goddess in the capital. They meditated at the shrine for a period of 30 days in an attempt to show their piety. On the last day, they had a revelation and realized that Wela was there all this time, meditating at their side.

"The birth of our species of Vampires are like the hatching of a wyrm from an egg." Zasz informed. "When the Ectoplasmic energy infused the corpses with animation it impregnated, if you'll excuse the pun, the corpse with an unborn necromantic life force."

"The sellswords are beings that are very young. They have not come into their full wits. Do not kill them unless you are sure that they can make decisions in life. With the aid of the vampire Sellswords, Jackie's Ape Empire grew large and powerful, and soon there were but a few ape tribes that were not a part of the Empire. Jackie ordered that maps be drawn, and that the lands they controlled were secured, and that all those currently within it that were not traders or nomads drifting through would be conquered and added to the empire. The lands of the Ape Empire would be marked by a number of outposts and watchtowers, the outposts would guard all the large and most easily accessible ways into the lands now controlled by the Apes, and the watchtowers would watch the rest, and be stretched over the borders of their lands. There would be a second layer of watchtowers, dispersed at a different interval than the first watchtowers, to better watch the borders.

Jackie also set about the construction of devices that would keep the vampire safe from the sun during day, and where they could travel, as well as buildings built beneath the ground where they would be safe.

Jackie's vampire generals managed to make life miserable for him, all except for two. Four vampires kept a darkness in their minds, out of choice. The other two joined the Pantheon as honored servants... One of them, however, who had kept a dark mindset, still rebelled. He murdered the high priest, and fled. Mysteriously, even the gods could not determine where he ran off too.

(I have an idea for Jackie's unloyal vampires. Can we say Luni influenced them to rebel? I think it'd be a lot easier than to just say they rebelled.)

Luni smiled at the chaos he was causing. He was much happier messing with mortal and immortal lives wherever he could. He did not care for their arguements or their big plans for their tribes, he justed wanted to fiddle with their minds.

One such example of this were Jackie's Generals. He had managed to persuade two of them to rebel and another to mysteriously disappear. Luni chuckled to himself and went off to cause more mischief.

Jackie

While his borders were being drawn Jackie set more of his people, the newer tribes especially, to farming. Plans were set up and experienced farmers were sent out to teach more of the new apes, whatever species, how to grow the desert-plants.

He noted that two of his Vampires had left, however this merely meant more for those who had remained loyal. He was angry that one of his priests had been killed, but until he could find the vampire there was nothing he could do. He noticed with increasing frustration, the plight of his followers. He knew they could not go out to the sun, and they asked them to help, and he promised to do what he could. Summoning his divine will, he blessed those who followed him with a resistance to sunlight, this manifested in a darkening of their skin, to resist the harsh sunlight.

(OOC: I'm using my other Ceremony to give the vampires who remained resistance to the sun, they'll always have it, and obviously since I don't have the Sun as one of my domains, it's not a pure immunity, but it allows them to be out during the day. They all have some resistance to the sun, but the more powerful they become the less it affects them, for average vampires it burns their skin somewhat quickly and can kill them if they stay revealed for too long, but covering up will basically make them fine, the more powerful vampires are more resistant, and the most powerful are practically immune, but this only qualifies for like, Vampire Lords, the kind that are hundreds, sometimes thousands of years old, so it's not many)

Daruis gazed out upon the world, and knew that the only way he could surely bring Judgement upon the aggressors, and the breakers of the laws of what must be was to make sure that the beings he had created solely for these purposes were well prepared, and powerful enough.
Thus using some of his power he drew a great runed circle in one of the less inhabited areas, and from the stone of the ground he cast a great spell, and from it rose a great many spired stronghold with massive towers, and a great stone walled gate with several Portcullioses that barred entry to any that were not destined to be there, and he inscribe upon it a single phrase in the language of his people.

Whole in spirit, and pure of heart, it was made to help all innocents, unable to truely be killed, when dying bursting into divine flames and reborn, adult and whole again. The creatures identify themselves as "dwarves". They bring secrets of mining, and they have developed iron weapons, and all of them arm themselves.

A large city of 20,000 is set up near the mountain. They bring new crafts of art, and trade between the city of Cale(shortened name.) and the new city called Darius. The pheonix's flying through the air around them, Cale told the them to leave them for now and go help some people, to which all of them complied, except the original, demi-god pheonix. Turning to the god of order, Cale then said, "Yes, well I felt it would be wise to talk with you before Jackie, the god of crime and war did. We are the Pantheon, and I am its leader, the first god, and the god of fire, the sun, and of Victory. To my left is Bialikk, the bird godof wind and earth, and to my right is Wela, the god of Spirit and community. And you are?"

"I'am Darius god of Judgement, and the first father of The inveitables the enforcers of the Natural laws of the universe. It is a pleasure to meet with you all, and I'am glad that I have been warned of this "Jackie" this god of crime.... I don't think he would have been very glad to meet me after I found out his intentions."

"Not many of us like him after we found out his intetions either. He has a great empire of apemen to the north, who gladly conquer all that stand in their path. He stole a number of sell-sword vampires away from me, and though I still retain all of my Loyal ones and a number of sell-swords, it is a matter of dicontent," informed Cale.
