Yes, we had typewriter. No, it wasn't electric, old paper-and-tape. Eh, learning to type on one gives a lot of bad habits when it comes to write on PCs later.

Don't feel bad about Lord Of The Rings, that's a VERY heavy book series to get into, and I personally never got much beyond The Hobbit itself. It's not that I didn't like it - I loved it.

Pretty much same for me. Never finished LotR, loved Hobbit, though.

If you thought Tolkien was a marathon, wait till you try Song of Ice and Fire.
