All of that sounded very much like things one could do alone. Except for that last bit..."Er, 'group storytellin' with friends'? Not quite sure I follow you there. Is that like a writin' club?"

"Well, we come up with characters, somepony puts sort of a world behind their actions, and when we're done with the story we put it into a book, so I guess it is sort of like a writing club..." she says.

(Hmm. And now we need something to go horribly wrong...)

"So...umm...no, I shouldn't ask...forget I said anything." she says, her voice kind of shrinking to a squeak. She continued nibbling on her cookie, wondering how much longer this would be.
