I've always thought of her as being a weatherpony for Ponyville like Rainbow Dash... as she's not that effective at her job... like Rainbow Dash. >_>
The episode of her moving furniture was probably her last day on that job.

Well given that the Doctor has been confirmed as a terrible dancer (in his most current incarnation, anyway), I think that choice would lead to hilarity.
