Search disabled, maintenance, and other changes

I'm rather curious as to exactly what problems were had, because I intend to construct a similar database for my company.

The database was huge, I underestimated how long it would take. It needed to be done, I would have given more warning and better messages had I known. That's pretty much it, there weren't any issues.
