And unfortunately, the Enchanced Edition doesn't do much about the imbalanced encounters - the assassins you meet right after leaving the Nashkel mines are a nigh-inevitable TPK.
I killed them the way I've killed every other multi-enemy fight, via sight-range abuse to lure them away from their friends to be jumped and killed one by one. The one with the Glyphs of Warding still forced three or four reloads, though.
