It is strange, since humidity at lower levels of heat is more uncomfortable -- however my cinnamon-coloured tempter told me how in his home Rajasthan people can die of exposure in the summer, where as in coastal Chennai [where we met] it is not a danger in spite of being actually higher temperatures.

Similarly, the January/February cold snap here that descends into the -40 C range -- because it is so dry -- feels far less cold than say -5 C I have felt during the rare times when it is damp.

My point being that I have sympathy for you; and invite you to the heartland of Canada, but a brief budgie ride away.
