I'm guessing that there's more leeway when it's related to the subject, and if you try to game the system, they come down on you like a tonne of bricks.

I'm not claiming that the rules are too strict, or too lax; nor do I plan to "game the system," as you put it. However, I would appreciate if the rules were more consistent in how strict or lax they are. I would also like all the rules to be publicly posted, rather than just the ones currently here. I mean, as it is, sometimes I feel like I'm playing Mao!
