Having been outside the door when the previous note was presented, Brin takes Sirus's word that the same hand penned both.

"Or it's just some puffed up nobody who likes the sound of a fancy title." Brin mutters. "At least as many fake 'lords' around as real ones, in my experience." She shakes her head, unsure what to make of the clues, "At least we know the two scenes are connected, and this means that the survivor knows the identity of the murder--assuming the murderer is the one who wrote the notes."
