As she goes forward, the ground sags more... and it's almost like an elastic sheet, really. Each step is punctuated with a crunch, as the surface tension is broken, and then the sheet sags. Is there an open area beneath the ground? for that matter, it's not acting like natural ground.

Sophia raises and eyebrow, steps back, and tosses a detached sword blade at the ground in front of her.
