Pernieth, Cassandra, Hagatha, The Peer - The Dark Grove

A God of Thunder and the Sky would arrive out of a lightning bolt and thunder. The cataclysm of their arrival would herald their power and dominance. But Pernieth is not a god of the sky. He is of the earth, of growing things, of nature.

It happened in an instant, though to describe it would take much longer. A tree near Cassandra, once withered and dark, barren and gray, suddenly bursts into life, the trunk reinvigorated, the branches bloom green with leaves and fruits and flowers. Then it's growth becomes explosive. The trunk multiplies in size, and it's branches grow. It's roots split from the ground, half as large as the trunk, and two branches dominate the others. And in a mere instant, Pernieth was there, towering above the clearing.

As the vines close on Cassandra, a massive hand encloses her, the vines impacting into the thick bark of the hand. "Cease." Pernieth says.
