    5:30AM in Worston, Utah on June 1st of 1889. Two women stand above the corpse of a man lying in the street.

    "Well now, that there's a sight. Never thought I'd see the day some law showed up in Worston! I thought that blam'd MacMadden fixed their flint last year."

    "Reckon this boy's a dep-yu-tee on account o' that badge there."

    "Been a right month o' Sundays since I even seen a badge, an' now one showed up dead meat on our hands."

    "Best drag 'im over to the station, then?"

    "Leave 'im. If Mad Mac's in town, more'n this young'n'll be cold as a wagon tire, an' soon. Best not get in a fix o'er it."

    Meanwhile, the Sheriff hangs up the first posting.
