Spoiler: Bear and Juno
Show
Bear met Juno at a pack gathering a long time ago. They were both young, but he sensed that something was wrong there. But he did not see anything that could be done, and so he did nothing, to his regret.

Years later, when he heard of the young woman's predicament, he knew he had to do something, such a wild soul deserved better. He made sure she felt welcome in her new family, and stepped in to smooth things over in the early days. Soon enough, he started seeing her like a sister, and just grins like a fool when she rebuffs him for being a bit overbearing.

When convinced she could largely take care of herself, this bond gained a competitive facet. He loves to challenge his cousin, whether to feats of physical prowess or musical ability, and enjoys himself whichever way it goes.

Bear taught Juno how to "really" play base.

She's been a werewolf for three years give or take and while Juno was privy to music lessons as a kid, she had been slowly stripped of alot of agency by the time she entered her early teens--she was going to be pulled from high school to be a full time homemaker, after all. Bear gave her her personal instrument after he "acquired" it from his family's attic and their first "dueling strings" incident was when he realized she was getting to stand on her own-- and subsequently the first time she kicked his ass when he tried to cheat to win with a distraction. She doesn't tour with that base; it stays in whatever room she's designated as her territory and uses a different instrument on stage.

She seems much more indifferent about their personal challenges or at least maintains the image of a good sport whether she wins or loses. Bear is the only person she tolerates any level of teasing from but if she resorts to making jokes about Ciara (or to be specific she starts making jokes about how she'd be a better mate for Ciara,) it's a sign that even he needs to back off and that she's been pushed too far. ... Interestingly enough, Juno doesn't directly make fun of Ciara herself in anyway and won't even mention she wishes they could trade places (as one has the life the other was hoping for,) or anything of that sort.

Spoiler: Bear and Kara
Show
Bear has mixed feelings about Kaya. He has a lot of fun with her, but worries that she doesn't take the pack's duties seriously enough. He's occasionally tried to nudge her towards indulging in the wolf a little more, listening to the call, but doesn't push hard.

On the stage, he likes to help Kaya set up for big scenes, holding her high in the air while she's finishing off a big vocal segment for instance.

Bear's a little protective of everyone in the pack, but Kaya has him concerned in particular. If in a scene that might get a little rough, and he's not already occupied with Ciara, he'll often find some excuse to stand near her. He's been known to glare over her shoulder at people he has a bad feeling about approaching.

Whether many of the Pack are cognizant of it, part of the relaxed front Kara seems to have regarding the more....furry side of her nature is actually the result of a rather deep-rooted fear she has about it. Her first change - something she is uncharacteristically loathe to discuss - along with the inclusion of the disturbing, traumatic dreams of prophesy and insight that Luna gifts to her scare her. She does acknowledge her responsibilities as a Cahalith and a Uratha, despite her misgivings, but if Bear detects that she's not always behaving like she's taking it as seriously as she should? It's likely she had a bad dream that rattled her.

But Kara 'Sunshine' St.Claire always puts on a smile.

Bear and Ciara? Yeah....she 'ships' that hard.

She loves the big, protective Rahu and enjoys how easy it is for him to toss her around or pick her up, and his tendency to glower at the people he thinks are getting to close to her. She's poked at him sometimes to try throwing her at the Pack's enemies sometimes, but so far she hasn't convinced him to give it a shot. She also appreciates his grandstanding with guitar solo's, and while he sets her up for big vocal finishes, she often tries to return the favor by letting him shred like the monster he is.

She tries to keep a wonderful relationship with Ciara, and often tries to have girl talks with her. Kara rather vocally has proclaimed that even if she's not the maid of honor, she wants to at LEAST throw Ciara her bachelorette party.

Spoiler: Bear and Solo
Show
"It's impossible not to love Bear, it is even more impossible to rationalize with him when his blood is up. His moods can be very mercurial, sometimes it pays to know when to stay out of his way. We are as different as chalk and cheese, as unalike as two Forsaken can be. He is Fire, I am Ice. He is strong in all the ways I am not and vice versa. Strange as it sounds, that makes us ideal hunting partners. I disliked him at first, after our first jam I loved him. I got him wrong, you see, I thought he was an affable thug, but he's a really lovely guy with a nasty streak a mile long. Big difference."

Solo feels Bear is the only one taking his duties as seriously as himself. They have an understanding where, if Bear wants to hunt something the pack may not agree to, he comes to Solo first. Bear knows that if Solo agrees he will move heaven and earth to get the rest behind Bear, if he disagrees he will remain silent when Bear pitches the idea to the others. If Solo wants to hunt something the pack may not agree to he goes to Bear first and gets the same treatment, although he usually tries to convince Bear it was his own idea first.

Bear respects and likes Solo. His Irraka brother has endured a great deal, and persevered. He particularly likes hunting with Solo, the two will often set traps together, one harrying the prey to where the other awaits. Which does the harrying depends on the nature of the prey of course.

As much as he encourages Kara to embrace the wolf, he knows Solomon has problems in the other direction. If he seems to be slipping, he'll offer to be the man's anchor. It is important to Bear that everyone in the pack stands on stable ground, there is no way for them to grow otherwise.

Spoiler: Bear On
Show
Bear on tour
Bear on the road
Bear generally dislikes being confined to a box for long periods. He'll often prefer to take his motorcycle and act as the RV's escort instead, rejoining his pack directly whenever they stop. If on the other hand he has reason to think there is conflict needing to be resolved while on the road, he'll suck it up and be there in the box with them.

Bear before the gig
Bear's at his most contemplative just before a hunt, and just before an appearance on stage. He'll often be found sitting with his guitar in hand, gently strumming the strings with his eyes closed. He's imagining the course of the performance at this time, how it can go wrong, and how it can be made that much better.

Bear during the gig
Bear knows that his appearance and style of play is rather striking, and loves to play it up. He pushes for enthusiasm in the crowd, and in his fellow bandmates.

Bear after the gig
Kara may be the focal point of the after party, but Bear's there every step of the way, enjoying himself, dancing, partaking in some of the booze and weed available, though he never lets himself get truly hammered. He'll even swing about with the groupies for a while, but often ends up disappointing those interested in him by always going back to Ciara for the night.

Bear having a jam
Bear often just goes with whatever he feels like in a jam. It can lead to some interesting tunes, but he'll often need a hand from the others turning it into something usable.

Bear writing music
Bear's biggest weak point musically speaking. This is not to say that he doesn't have good ideas, he just has trouble committing them to paper.

Bear on the Hunt
Bear lives for the hunt. Even by Urathan standards, it is a vital part of who he is. He often pushes himself to move faster, hit harder, hone his instincts and skills so the prey cannot escape. And when he is not pushing himself, he pushes the others in his pack. While he is not afraid to handle something himself, no Uratha truly stands alone, not for long.

Bear on Luna
Luna is the mother of the hunt, and for that she has Bear's devotion. Luna is fickle, mischievous, and often cruel, and for that she has Bear's enmity. He is never quite sure what he thinks about the mother, and instead focuses on dealing with her as best he can.

Bear on the Oaths
Bear enjoys life as much as he can, for life is hard. But the Oaths provide all the structure and purpose that a Uratha needs. He tries to live his life by the oaths, and will act to see that others do not slip in that regard.

Bear on the pack
'They are my kith and my kin. I am nothing without them, a lone animal, easily brought down regardless of how strong I make myself. I'd do anything for them, and I know they have my back as well."

Bear on the Pure
'The Lost would be a better name. They have lost their purpose, and have been turned by their rightful prey against their brothers. They deserve both my pity and my wrath.'

Spoiler: Wolf Blooded - Ciara
Show
Ciara was born to a long established line of werewolves. Realizing that she would not be joining her kin as a true Uratha was a harsh blow for her, but she kept her head high, and pushed to find her place in a pack regardless. She found it with Bear. Strong in both mind and body, the fiery red headed woman fell in love with the passionate Rahu, and he with her. Ciara has recently become pregnant, a moment of joy for the pair, although it comes with a realization of danger given the timing.

When asked about cementing their relationship with a formal marriage, they just shrug and say they'll get around to it eventually.
